We ordered the lunch sushi special with three rolls and two kids' meals one with chicken and white rice and the other with chicken and fried rice. Our absolute favorite appetizer was the pork fried dumplings. They were adorable, perfectly cooked, and absolutely delicious! I checked a few reviews before deciding on what to order. Every ones experience is different due to what you are ordering. We kept it basic, so we had no issues. Not sure if the meat was actually chicken, this is a huge issue with eating at cheap Asian places. I normally try to stick with high end Asian places, in hopes they are using good ingredients. I absolutely love this place as it is my go-to for Japanese food. The staff is always super friendly and you can tell it is a family owned business because the food is always delicious. This was our first time trying it out and when I got there they do have inside seating which was nice and when I talked to the gentleman up front for my pick up it was already bagged and ready to go. Honestly I was impressed with how full the rolls were. The hibachi takeout dinner was A-OK. The portion of steak and shrimp was good. The rice could have been better. It was very basic and plain. I asked for my steak to be cooked medium but it was more more like medium well. But, it was still good. The veggies were good too. The salad was fresh but mainly iceberg lettuce and hardly anything else. The ginger dressing was good. I just have to say that I've had better at restaurants in the Valrico/Brandon area. My husband felt the same way about his steak hibachi dinner as well. Maybe it was just a bad day for hibachi. The service was great. I like the online ordering system. My husband and I visited on a Thursday afternoon around 11:45. Everything was nice and tidy. The place looks and feels nice and comfortable. I did not visit the restroom. We ordered two lunch specials at $9.49, an order of Crab Rangoon, a Bloomingdale Roll and two fountain drinks, with a total of about $40. The food took about 13 minutes but it was fresh and very tasty! Staff delivered the food to our table on a tray which was nice. The Bloomingdale Roll was by far the star of the show, and the teriyaki chicken lunch special was a close second. My husband's hibachi steak lunch special was just ok. The rice has a different flavor to it that doesn't quite seem to belong there, some herb or something. Neither of us cared for it, although it was cooked well. The yum yum sauce also tasted super bland, like it could use a hit of sriracha or something. Overall, the vegetables in the meals were great, the Rangoon was very well fried & seasoned.
