    Wagyu Beef Slider
    Luke B.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Orlando. I like the food so much, I'm worried I might get sick of it, so I try to only go once a month at most. Situated in a food truck outside Digress Wine, they serve what I would describe as French-inspired Spanish tapas. You can sit inside the wine bar and order via their website directly to your table or you can order from the food truck itself and they'll bring it to you. A definite must is the Marinated Olives ($6), pitted green olives in an inventive citrus-y and spicy brine with capers, carrots and pearl onions along for the ride. It's so good I sometimes order 2 for the table. Another must is the Wagyu Beef Sliders ($17), two plump and juicy sliders, cooked perfectly, topped with a mushroom sauce and raclette cheese, served with French fries. It's so buttery and decadent- probably the best burger I've ever eaten. The fries are expertly cooked, extremely crispy and wonderfully seasoned. Their menu changes frequently and I always try something new here (steak frites, empanadillas, summer rillette, hummus). I'll be back many times this year (it's August, so 4 in fact) !

Came in late night just to check out their $10 Monday martinis. There was limited options to just a plain or dirty vodka or gin martini. No other variations or anything else from their cocktail menu was part of this deal. Blue cheese stuffed olives were a dollar a piece and tasted great but don't think I needed the 3 that was automatically given. They did seem hand stuffed with fresh blue cheese instead of the already made kind so it tasted better than most Having been to a few of their other Good Salt group restaurants, this definitely had their signature touch with all the details and the delicious menu. I like checking out all their locations. Another one of restaurant was a few doors down The server forgot my simple request for ice and lemons in the beginning when ordering just water. She also didn't check on us after dropping off the drinks and had to get someone else nearby for more olive juice when my dirty martini seemed to have missed the dirty part. Getting the check seemed to be a task, no server in sight, and had to grab another employee to ask for it From just ordering waters and martinis, service was quite lacking. I get that it was a slow night but maybe tending to the only table around should have been an easy task and being a little more tentative for the few times a server was needed would have gone a long way

The aesthetics and atmosphere of this restaurant / wine bar is very Mediterranean / south of France which I adorrrrred especially since I'll be there this summer. There's an outside seating area with a water fountain and umbrellas for all the vibes and shade to enjoy a brunch or day with the girls or even a date. Inside is elegant just as well with lovely art pieces, decor and lighting. They just started doing brunch on Sundays when I went so it was nice to experience it and see their curated menu. When I made the reservation I requested a scenic ambiance spot which they had the perfect table for me and my server Erin surprised me with a complimentary glass of bubbles, I assume the prosecco which was such a treat being to start off my birthday lunch! I had some main goals of YES and I NEED, which was a nice bottle of wine, those gorgeous blue and white printed plates, the blue crab cannoli, and the ousters. All of which I received in the best presentation possible. The team at Lorelei even made my lunch ever so special by serving everything on those plates along with enhancing my blue crab cannoli with caviar on the top instead of the regular fish eggs that are placed which I was just full of joy and happiness seeing how special they surprised and customized my dishes for me! The bottle of Sauvignon blanc also a perfectly complimented my oysters as well as the cannolis. Overall, Lorelei did not disappoint me and met all of my expectations and desires with the perfect birthday lunch with my favorite besties! I can't wait to come back again for some small bites and tapas or even experience the wine tasting events they hold!

You can tell the owners put love into every detail including picking their wines locally and internationally. You can stop by any day of the week, load money on a card and taste 16 different wines from a self serving tap. My personal favorites were Rioja, Sangue Di Giuda and the Chardonnay. The Rioja is similar to Cabernet Sauvignon, but it also has a fruity character. If you love Cabernet but are also looking for the dominant cherry flavor, this is the perfect wine for you. The Sangue Di Giuda, which means "Blood of Judas", is more of a deep, slightly sparkling and delectably sweet red wine. Chardonnay is my go to when I want a nice glass of wine after work. Although it typically has fruit flavors, it's a dry white wine. It pairs perfectly with seafood or baked chicken. We purchased a bottle of Lumbrusco and we sat and enjoyed the atmosphere and great conversation with the owner. They were right, they made us feel at home. Make sure you check out their website and sign up for their mailing list to be updated about future events.

There were about 16 of us in the group, and when I first arrived, it was pretty packed -- I almost didn't get a seat. Thankfully, everyone was super nice and accommodating, making space so I could sit comfortably and enjoy the night. The atmosphere was relaxed, inviting, and full of good energy. They have comfortable seating and fans on the walls, which helped keep things cool and cozy. It's definitely a great spot to get together after work and wind down with friends, coworkers, or even new people. Trivia Night was a blast! The host kept everyone entertained, engaged, and laughing throughout the evening. It felt very well-organized and had a nice community feel -- I'd absolutely go again for that experience alone. A few things did surprise me, though. Since it's a wine bar, I expected mostly alcoholic drinks, but their Instagram made it seem like they also offered non-alcoholic options. When I asked for a soda, I was told they only serve alcohol -- no soft drinks, no mocktails. So if you're not drinking, plan to bring your own or grab something before you go. Later in the night, I got hungry. Their Instagram also gave me the impression that they served food, but they actually don't -- the food comes from a food truck around the back. When I went to order, the lady running the truck told me, "I'd rather sell out...," which threw me off. I wasn't sure what she meant, but it came across as rude or maybe even personal, which was disappointing since I was ready to buy something. That said, I don't hold that against Grape and The Grain itself. The staff inside were kind and welcoming, the crowd was friendly, and the overall vibe was great. For the atmosphere, comfort, and fun trivia experience, they get a full 5 stars from me. I'll definitely be back -- next time I'll just eat beforehand and bring my own non-alcoholic drink!

There are a few different spots you can sit depending on what you want your experience to be. We were sat in the patio downstairs under a giant umbrella. You can also choose to sit inside or even upstairs at the roof top bar. Our server was Timothy, he was very lovely and attentive. We started with a bottle of bubbly and were given the option to have different juices to go with our bottle. Each juice was served in an individual decanter. We started with the butter lantern from Parlor Kitchen. It was served with a bagel, a muffin and some toast. It was a beautiful display and delicious. (Shout out to Parlor Kitchen). We also started with the fried goat cheese. It was served on toast with blueberries, tomatoes and jam. Very delicious. I selected the blueberry pancakes from the brunch menu. It was a large stack of three pancakes with blueberries baked in and on top. Complimented with some butter lantern and syrup, they were fluffy and delicious. The menu had some really nice selections so I will definitely return another day. I want to try the duck fat burger at some point, which is their wow feature. Great place to visit. Their menu features amazing large bagels, various cream cheeses, and bakery items. One thing I really appreciate about Eola General is their inclusivity when it comes to dietary preferences. They offer lots of vegan options. I ordered an everything bagel with veggie cream cheese, one of my personal favorites, and I can confidently say this was one of the best versions I've ever had. You can actually taste the bits of veggies in the spread. The bagels are big, so make sure you come hungry! Of course, I had to try their coffee too. I went with a seasonal drink called Grandma's Bowl, made with brown butter, toffee nut, pumpkin purée, and oat milk. After one sip, I was convinced this was the best fall drink of the season! Perfectly balanced between sweetness and bold. I was so impressed with their vegan offerings that I also picked up a vegan cupcake for my friend, complete with a cute little acorn design. Eola General is full of delicious options and truly embodies the spirit of Lake Eola and Orlando with its kind staff and unique offerings. I highly recommend this spot for a breakfast date with friends or even a first date. There's definitely something delicious for everyone.
