Fast dependable service. Cheaper than that other big Auto Glass company. Pablo was on time professional and fast. Highly recommend.

    Ardmor Windows & Doors

I recently hired Ardmore Windows and Doors to replace 18 windows in my home, and while the sales…read moreprocess started off strong, the rest of the experience was incredibly disappointing. To begin with, the sales representative was punctual, knowledgeable, and thorough. He clearly explained all the window options and helped us choose the style we wanted. Unfortunately, that is where the professionalism ended. One of the most alarming issues occurred during installation: a window was either dropped or thrown from the second floor onto my front lawn, where it shattered. The crew made no attempt to clean it up. I only discovered the shards the next day while outside barefoot with my toddler. I spent hours picking up tiny pieces of glass myself. When I raised this with the project manager, he didn't apologize or show any concern--he simply offered $100 off for my "time." Beyond that, the overall project management and execution were riddled with issues. I had to review the order sheet at least ten times because the company repeatedly made mistakes--wrong quantities, wrong styles, wrong hardware. Even after all of that, the final order was still incorrect. I requested that the new windows match the existing styles (e.g., 6 over 1, 8 over 1), yet this was ignored, and we only realized the error during installation when it was too late to correct. They also installed two top sashes in one window and acted as if this was normal. Their explanation was that "owners ask for ridiculous things sometimes," so they didn't question it. This was the only window of the 18 installed incorrectly, yet I was the one who had to push to have it acknowledged. The hardware situation was equally unprofessional. They installed mismatched pieces--gold locks with nickel lifts--because the hardware we selected was "out of stock," but they never told us. When we asked for replacements, they simply handed me a catalog and told me to choose new ones, offering no guidance, even though only one alternative actually worked with the holes they had already drilled. Another major issue involved the window screens. I requested screens for all windows in the original estimate, and this was clearly documented. Despite that, no screens were installed. Their excuse was that "homeowners don't often want to open their windows." After the mistake was pointed out, they installed makeshift screens that don't fit properly and are extremely difficult to remove and replace--clearly not the correct screens for the windows we purchased. The job, which was supposed to take a few days, dragged on for weeks due to unfinished work, installation errors, and repeated reorders caused by their own mistakes. Some of the work is still unfinished. I would not recommend Ardmore Windows and Doors to anyone. Unless you want to act as your own project manager, clean up after the crew, and still end up with results that don't match what you paid tens of thousands of dollars for, look elsewhere.

A&J Window repair is one window repair company that you MUST use if you need window repairs. I…read morelive at 650 Victory Blvd in Staten Island. I moved into my apartment in April of 2017. My breakfast room window, which is next to the fire escape, has been broken since the day I moved into the apartment. The super tried to fix it over the 6 years that I've lived here; however, it remained broken and dangerous. Fortunately, Altin and Egli, who are employed by A&J, came today and fixed my window. They even went throughout the apartment, checking all of the other windows to make sure there were no other issues. Altin and Egli were kind, respectful, professional and efficient. Their boss, Reggie, who owns A&J called to check to make sure I was satisfied. A&J Window Repair is EXCELLENT. A must for anyone who has window repair issues. Dr. Ramona Brockett

I GAVE THEM MULTIPLE CHANCES. BIG MISTAKE…read more I normally give small businesses a lot of grace. In this case, I gave far too much. **5/9/26: UPDATE - SEE SCREENSHOT OF ILONA GUMENYUK'S 5/8/26 EMAIL CONFIRMING REGGIE ARRIVING TO DISTRIBUTE REFUNDS AND REPLACE MY SCREENS -- NONE OF WHICH HAPPENED. AND NOT A WORD FROM ANYONE.** I hired Reggie Villa / A&J Window and Glass to create custom window screens and a balcony screen solution for my apartment. Based on my recommendation, two neighbors also hired him and paid deposits as well. What followed was weeks of missed appointments, repeated promises to "check with the factory and call me back within the hour," long stretches of no communication, repeated promises that things would be ready "next week," and eventually requests for refunds that never materialized. As delays continued, Ilona Gumenyuk repeatedly communicated on the company's behalf regarding scheduling, refunds, and assurances that replacement materials and payments were forthcoming. When Reggie finally arrived to install my window screens, he showed up hours late with screens that were several inches too short and did not fit properly (see photo). Instead of acknowledging the issue, he attempted to explain the large visible gaps as intentional. One screen had to literally be hammered into place. Even after this, I still allowed myself to believe repeated assurances that properly fitted replacement screens and refunds were finally coming. They weren't. Since then, the two neighbors I referred have filed complaints with the Office of the New York State Attorney General Consumer Frauds Bureau, the Better Business Bureau, and local law enforcement. It is also worth noting that the company's Google Business Profile now appears as "Permanently Closed," despite the company continuing to communicate with customers and schedule supposed future work. As a result, customers can no longer post new Google reviews. I strongly encourage anyone considering this company to read the prior detailed negative reviews carefully. I wish I had.

1 star because I can't give 0. Benji is the least professional person I have ever hired. We made…read morethe mistake of using him twice - don't bother hiring him once. The first time, he showed up, took measurement and my deposit then came a couple weeks later to do some demo/prep work. After that he would disappear for weeks or months at a time - always with an excuse or promise to be there "by the end of the week" or "early next week." After finally completing the work at least 6 months behind schedule (build builtin pantry cabinet, replace basement windows, fix some stairs, build mud room cubbies and some other handy man work) he tried to charge me extra for using maple instead of pine - I pulled out the contract to show him that maple was built into his estimate. The overall quality of the work was good except the paint he used cracked - we called him to have him fix it and started talking to him about other work we wanted done. He gave us this song and dance about how he felt terrible about how he treated us the first time around and wanted a chance to make it up to us. We made the mistake of taking his low bid because again after taking our deposit and doing some initial work in April of 2016, he again disappeared for months. After hanging the drywall and putting a coat of primer on he said he'd be back in 3 weeks to install the desk and cabinets. Of course we didn't hear from him for about 7 weeks when we talked about him refinishing the floors while we were on vacation. Of course, we came back from vacation and about half the floor had been sanded. I finally got a hold of him and he argued that his contract stated the project would take 6 weeks. When I told him it had already been 9 he fumbled through some excuses and apologies and promised to finish the floors and install the desk in 2 weeks. That was July, we didn't hear from him again for a month. I started calling him every week where he would promise to be done by the end of the week. At the end of the week he would promise to be done by early the next week. He did finish the floors by working on them an hour a night for a week or so - showing up to work after our kids were in bed. For months he constantly lied about how the desk was done, it just needed to be painted. When he finally showed up in November to take measurements, it was clear he never started the desk. He finally installed the desk in January of 2017 and he charged me extra for work he needed to do because he built the cabinets too short. Throughout the process he would send us pictures of other jobs he was working on as if that was supposed to make us feel better that he was using our deposit to finance someone else's project while neglecting ours. At one point he told us that some people get attention while other jobs suffer and ours was one that suffered - that's just the way it is. He's cheap but he's not worth the lies, delays and the headaches. And by the way, the paint on the cabinets he repainted cracked again about 2 weeks after we paid him. Do yourself a favor and pay a little extra for a reliable professional.
