After following an accident I was sent here by my insurance company. The technician called me the next business day and was very polite as were they when I went in. On the outside not looking like much, the interior is welcoming with refreshments available while you wait. The technician walked me around my car and told me the approximate time it would take as well as what they'd be doing. It was a relatively small job I appreciate the thoroughness about the job. A couple days later the technician called me alerting me my car was ready. They did a great job and the best part is they washed my car, inside and out! I'm not sure that is what they normally do but it's a great gesture and boy did my car need it. If you're in need of a body shop and/or you insurance deals with them, I'd recommend. read more

No.1 Auto Body - Entrance sign - Body Shops Near Me - East Orange, New Jersey

This place is great. I bought my truck in to get the soft cover repaired or replaced. Gentlemen on the phone told me that they couldn't do anything about the issue because of the dealership. They repaired something minor and were very accommodating. A+ read more

This shop did an amazing job fixing my car after a collision, the repair was so fast and so well done, it looks like a brand new car! Zack was so quick getting me an estimate, and I could not be happier with the outcome! Thanks again!! read more

Absolutely love these guys! Moved to East Orange a couple of years ago and had some car issues. Took my car to various locations and what they were charging seemed out of whack. Came to No. 1 Auto Body and they have me a great price and great information about what was wrong with my car. I've gone back to them for everything from a battery change to fixing my brakes or replacing my bumper. They've always been fair and helpful. Very happy to have found this shop. read more

Excellent experience. I used this shop as it was recommended by my Insurance carrier. The gentleman in the office was professional, polite, courteous and helpful, even called the rental company to come pick up me after leaving my car there. I was given as estimate as to when my car would be ready and I was pleasantly surprised it was completed ahead of time! I was kept up to date via text messages, which was a refreshing change! And the work done to my car was excellent! As good as new again! read more

This place was wonderful. I went to several shops to get a price and they beat all prices by thousands of dollars. These guys are honest, fair and do great work. Since this first repair I have been back 4 times for body and mechanical work. read more

BEWARE! The owner is rude and does not stand by his work! The lifetime warranty they advertise is false. An entire quarter panel blew off my daughters Jeep after they repaired it and they won't even address the issue. Once you pay, they are done with you. I DO NOT RECOMMEND! Would give Zero stars is allowed read more

My husband and I found this GEM of a spot and cannot express in words how pleased we are with the service! (Replaced bumper and siding of 2014-CRV) They took pride in their work. It came out flawless! My husband and I will be calling this place home for any work needed on our cars. The professionalism Zach and Jay provided us was A1 !!! Again we can't express how thankful we are to them and STOP right here - look no further these are your guys! I wouldn't go anywhere else! I'm from NY and believe me when I say- I know bad service (crappy job) when I see it. And this is good quality for reasonable prices! Thanks guys!! read more

My car went in for a fender bender, back on November. Took them over a month to acquire all used and partially damaged parts, to fix my vehicle. I was receiving text notifications from an automated system; they have set up. The text notifications, don't coincide with the actual work that's being performed on your car. I called to check on my car, around the expected completion date. They claimed they ordered the wrong bumper and had to reorder the parts; when they had my car over a MONTH at this point. Then, they stretch the repair completion out for another 5 days and the repair was still done partially. I didn't have emblem on my trunk and they gave me a defective left tail lamp. They swapped the left tail lamp, but was unable to place it flush to my vehicle, like the right tail lamp is already. The tech who worked on my car (for the 2ND TIME), claimed he is unable to center things well; making him incompetent to work on cars to begin with. The emblem they placed on my car, is off-centered; as well. He said I can come back for a 3RD TIME to have them readjust my left tail lamp. But at this point, I don't want to have anything to do with their business or establishment. I would give them 0 STARS, if that possible! Very SLOPPY and CARELESS work being done, at this shop. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SHOP FOR ANY REPAIRS! read more

Background: I took my Mercedes CLS550 there to get front end damage repaired. The grill, bumper and interior supports were wrecked. I'm very particular about my car so it was important that I took it to a place I was comfortable. Shop: Ironically my first job out of high school was working at an auto body shop so I knew what a good shop should look like. I asked the owner / manager if I could walk the shop floor. He had no problem agreeing. We walked the floor and it had all the proper equipment to do A1 repairs. Also the shop was very clean. Dirt is the enemy of a good paint job. He also took me back to show the paints he used. All quality material. Service/Price I was paying for the repairs out of pocket, so cost was key. I found the price very reasonable compared to other estimates. The shop was very accommodating with each interaction. Service was great. Quality When the car was complete three days later It looked brand new. Paint job looked to be flawless. Overall great experience and would definitely use them again. read more

No. 1 IS Number one. They took care of a front fender bender on my car, and made it just perfectly right. They even painted the front quarter panel to be better than it was before, all while keeping within my budget, and best of all, being SO friendly and accommodating. These are true professionals, and have my respect and patronage. SO mightily recommended! read more

This is the first time i had gone to this autobody. they have quoted the right price. no hidden charges .very genuine. i had my bumper, side mirror, and the wheel hubs to be installed. to my surprise they haave charged me only for the bumper installation. there was a big dent on my side car which they repaired it without even charging. havent seen anyone going out of the box to help the customers. the entire installation was done in a Day. Everyone considering this autobody.. dont even bother looking up others. they are your guys. read more

I was in a car accident last month and my insurance company recommended Joe's Auto Body for the repair after they wrote me an estimate. Having had a bad experience with another body shop several years ago, I was eager to try another one and am I glad I did! Glenn and his staff were amazing! They explained everything that was going to happen to my car during the repairs and even offered to show me the working areas of the shop (which really put my mind at ease). The work was perfect and my biggest fear of not being able to match my paint color (a bluish-green) was laid to rest when I saw my car completed. They nailed it! I now have a shop I can trust and to refer to all my friends and family. Keep up the great work guys! Susan Barber read more

I was in a car accident a few weeks ago. A car just rear ended me and I ended up going through the other person's insurance. I was recommended to go to Joe's Auto Body in East Orange by their insurance company, as it was very close to where I live. I have nothing but amazing things to say about Glen and his staff, from Joe's Auto Body. Everyone was so nice and very welcoming. As soon as I dropped off my car, they had a person from enterprise pick me up. My car was in the shop for a total of two days. Every day I would receive an email with a picture of my car and what they were doing at that time. I thought this was so beneficial. My car was a mess, I dropped it off the morning I got back from New Hampshire, I was rather embarrassed about how messy it was. I was shocked the day I picked it up from Joe's. It had been completely detailed and cleaned. It must have taken them a good couple of hours to just clean and wash everything. I recommend Joe's Auto Body to everyone!! I will certainly be going back for any maintenance I need done in the future! Thank you to everyone at Joe's Auto Body!! read more

My brand new sonata was hit by a garbage truck while parked, I took it to joes auto body and they did a great job with the repair. I remember upon leaving Glen the person helping me who is outstanding at what he does said to me " You've got a lifetime warranty on this job". About a year later I noticed a slight fade in the color of where they had painted which was the driver's side door and front panel, I called Glen up and asked if I could bring it in.....Not only did they repaint the entire panel and door for me, but they detailed the entire car inside and out at no charge...... Outstanding place would recommend in a heartbeat and if you go ask for Glen he is amazing.....By the way car looks great...... read more

I was recently in need of the services of an auto repair shop and was referred to Joe's Auto Body by my insurance company. I have to say I have never been more pleased with the service and work Joe's provided me. Not only were the staff polite and professional, they also took the time to explain the repair process including potential repairs that might be required. When I got my car back, I was amazed. It looked better than it did the day I drove off the dealership lot! In the future, if I ever need an auto body shop, I will definitely be returning to Joe's Auto Body. Their service was outstanding and I highly recommend them to anyone and everyone. read more

This shop is great. The service provided is personable. The repair to my family member's vehicle was done in a timely manner, without hassle. I would highly recommend this shop and continue to use their professional service, should the need arise again. Zac and Sammy at No.1 Auto Body will go over and beyond for their customers! I have previously used this body shop when it was formerly Joe's Auto Body. However, the new owners are continuing the superb car care service to their new customers and the community. read more

I've been coming to this shop for almost a year after we moved to the neighborhood. The shop owner Zach and the mechanics are professional, knowledgeable, respectful, trustworthy and their work speaks for themselves. Zach went as far as lending me one of his personal cars to drive because a part I needed didn't come in on time (not his fault at all). It was winter and my kids had to get to school and I had to work. He didn't charge us anything for it either. I don't know if any other mechanic would have done , but that shows a person's genuine character which is a positive for me. All of the labor and parts are itemized on the work order and he gives you a copy of the order form / receipts for any parts that were ordered. When I got into a car accident and my insurance company was giving me a problem he asked to speak to the representative and spoke on my behalf. Once again he went above and beyond to make sure his customers are taken care of. As a woman, many would try to take advantage of us , but I can tell you my husband and I are grateful we found this shop and don't plan on leaving, ever. read more
