In the case of a leaking garbage disposal the company owner, Pablo, came out, next day, properly re-installed the device, and additionally, at no charge, caulked around the sink to prevent any leaks at all into the cabinet below the sink. He replaced two light fixtures in my kitchen and they are hanging down from the ceiling, not flush with the ceiling like they are supposed to be. He said he would fix them when he came back to repair the damage in #3, which he never did. 2. He replaced my outdoor light fixture and it was crooked. However, he did fix it when he returned to repair other damage that he had caused (see #4). 3. He upgraded my porcelain sink to a stainless steel sink and, in the process, cracked 5 tiles that he said he would come back and fix. It took me having to hunt him down for two months for him to finally tell me that my particular tiles had been discontinued and I would have to replace my countertops (at my own expense, I figure, because when I told him that he had the obligation to pay for the replacement countertops, he did not text me back). 4. After he replaced the sink, when I used my dishwasher, it flooded underneath the sink and caused tons of water damage. He came a few days later to "fix it," but the same thing happened again and he insisted to me that it was not the result of his work (that the tubes were clogged). He also told me that he would repair the water damage, but his solution was that he would "paint over it," not replace the damaged wood. When I started researching him, I saw that he was on Thumbtack and had several good reviews, but also a few really bad ones (with stories quite similar to mine). When I went to leave him a review on Thumbtack, it would not let me. When I called customer service, they told me that their policy was that I could not leave a review unless I had hired him through the app., which I had not. I went back and forth with them - explaining that I paid him $1500 only to have all this damage done to my home and even sent them 8 pictures of the damage. They still would not let me leave a review. The customer service representative told me that she had just been talking to Ismael about a complaint that they had received about him from another customer. But she also told me that they were going to let him stay on the app! 5. When I hired another repairman to fix my dishwasher, he was appalled by the "Mickey Mouse" job (his words) that had been done to connect the dishwasher tubes after the sink installation. Ismael would only communicate with me if I texted him first, even though he was supposed to be working on finding tiles so that he could replace the ones he cracked. He would never give me updates like a professional should do; I always had to hunt him down for updates. As another customer states, he would say he would come to fix the issues, but then when I gave him my schedule, he would not text me back. If you look at his responses to his customer complaints on Thumbtack, he blames the customers rather than taking responsibility for the issues that he caused himself. He did the same to me, telling me that he was going to fix my dishwasher, but "unfortunately I went and hired another contractor" to do it (after I had let him try to fix it and he could not. A quick floor cleaning can be added too although they are not dirty. It is a 3 bedroom condo in Santa Clarita. Please let me know what your price and availability is." The owner Reachelle replied and said "it would be $150.00" and I agreed. On the cleaning day, instead of 9 am, they (Reachelle and a young man) arrived 9:30 am, which is fine. And started working at 10 am. It took 2.5 hours Reachelle to clean the stove and microwave. She was constantly on her cell phone. She then started cleaning the copper kitchen sink but I told her it was already cleaned by my handyman with a special chemical for coppers. She said it is clean because she cleaned it. The young man was upstairs cleaning the windows and the bathtub. When he finished, the glass shower door was still not clean, it had white residue. They said because the stains are too old and cannot be cleaned anymore. Reachelle started cleaning the windows on the first floor. Oh my God. She was so slow... When I pointed out her some of the spots, she said they are from the outside and they can only clean the inside. Even the windows on the ground level?? So at 3 pm, they finally finished. She said they did a full cleaning and asked for $100 more. Adding 2 bathroom is for $100?? Well, if this was a full house cleaning, I asked her to clean the powder room and him to clean the spider webs in the garage as well. Oh my God! This guy was so sloppy and slow. I could not help myself taking the long brush and showed him how to do. He watched me but continued missing so many spots. I then asked him if he can clean the patio because so there were many leaves on the ground. He said yes. After he left, I saw that he just swept them from concrete to soil! After I paid them total of $250, look at these pictures. I cannot recommend them to anybody. Also, I sent 3 messages to Reachelle and asked an invoice for tax purpose, she never acknowledge my messages. Let's see if she will reply to this one.
