My wife came here on March 6th 2017 and received the worst customer service possible from an employee working their along with a manager by the name Chantiqua. My wife went there to ask if she could get a new H2O+ face cream, which she has regularly purchased. Upon inspection of the one remaining bottle left on the shelf, she knew that the product has been obviously used. She encountered this situation before and the employee at the time was able to get her a new one without an issue. This time around, the employee and the manager refused to check if they had any additional face creams in stock and accused my wife of using it and tampering with the item. They said whatever is on the shelf is what they had left. As my wife was leaving, she heard the employee and manager by the name of Chantiqua talking badly about my wife and proceeded to go to the face cream area and restock the item that she was asking about. Upon my visit at this store, I saw an elderly woman waiting to have her picked up cans recycled by the register for some change. When I entered the store, I saw her. When I went upstairs, I saw an employee walk past her after some time and did not tend to her. Perhaps he was on his way to carry out another duty understandably. When I was done shopping and returned to the ground floor which was about 15 mins later, she was still saw her standing there, still unattended. I waited on the line, 2 cashiers occupied, 1 cashier was free for a whole 3 mins and did not help the lady who has been waiting more than 15 mins at this point; just patiently waiting for one of the store employees to tend to her, collect her cans and collect her a dollar or two. When she was finally tended to upon be finishing check out, I overhear the employee taking the cans, barking at her to pick up a can from the clear bag which I assume the store did not take for whatever reason. The lady clearly did not understand english and what she was saying but the employee continued to yell at her as she struggled to identify the can finally can the employee was referring to while berating her in the process. This act is unbelievable to me and wife and the fact that she had to wait as long as she did to get tended to when I clearly saw free employees is ridiculous. I had to run to the bus stop across and exit the store but the entire time waiting, we waiting for the lady to come out and wanted to give her some comfort after the mistreatment. We ran after her when we saw her across the street, tried to speak to her with my broken cantonese but she spoke mandarin. I handed her 5 dollars to assist as she was again looking around for recyclable cans to make it through the night. I expect management to look into this store and ensure all employees carry out their duties in their code of conduct and be reminded to treat everyone like human beings no matter the what age, person or language barrier present. read more

This 24/7 store is right next to the main street flushing subway. Sometimes nice staff, sometimes rude staff. I purchased a bag of chips and the whole transaction, the cashier did not say one word, even though I said "hi" "thank you" etc. The employees sometimes tail you/ linger around which can be uncomfortable but I had a great experience today with who I assume is the manager. Totally fine with me bringing my dog in (I held him in a carrier) and gave me free ribbon! It's pretty big and clean inside, though sometimes the line can be long & slow. They have a large variety of goods/ drugstore makeup and occasionally have flowers. They also have cards, stationary, gift wrap, packaging materials, and balloons upstairs. Handicap friendly, escalators and elevator and I believe there is a ground level entrance on the side. Average/ expensive pricing. Overall a good place to find anything you need. read more

My Dr. prescribed a cough medicine that is controlled substance so I went in with the paper prescription. The pharmacy gave me many excuses not to fill my prescription in the following order - 1) It will take 3-5 days to fill try another pharmacy I tried 10 other pharmacies and they all told me the medication was on back order so I came back to this Duane Reade 2) On my second attempt to fill the prescription the pharmacist told me "It's on backorder we will not be able to fill the prescription" I walked around Flushing and tried to have my prescription filled by 10 different pharmacies and they all have me the same excuse "it's on back order", but one pharmacist said we do not carry brand names. After I came back to this Duane Reade I had a lengthy conversation with the pharmacist and I discovered the reason why all the pharmacies including this Duane Reade ... they do not want to carry expensive inventory as they called it. There many not be another patient that needs the same cough medicine as I do and they will lose money ... which is complete b/s. There are many other controlled substances that move quickly and are dispensed like candy - Zoloft, Zanax. So this medicine was never on back order it was just about profitability. I called my insurance and they spoke to Target and they will fill my prescription. It took me two days to get a straight answer. Going forward I will fill all my prescriptions at Target in College Point. read more

I'm a fan of this place since they have moved across the street and rennovated to 2-3 floors of stuff that the old place didnt. It is more roomier and kept. The employees were very helpful and the cashiers are very quick. I would consider coming here again if I needed something late night due to it being a 24 hr store. read more

I love how this pharmacy is 24 hours but the service is HORRIBLE! The cashiers are so slow, even if there's a like with 10+ people they don't try to move faster. It's very frustrating when I'm in a rush to work or class. Another thing, I wish they would start selling some organic food products. read more

I like the variety and quality of products of this place but the prices are INSANE!! And the Rewards card don't help. I had very bad experiences with the prices and discounts and the cashier is so rude and helpless. The principal reason to visit DR frequently is the distance from my home. read more

This store is always in shambles whenever I go there. It is not maintained well. The customer service is some of the worst I have experienced. I even get no help and attitude when there are no baskets for me to shop and I ask for a basket. The shopping baskets are being used to store merchandise by the way. If you ask for help finding an item, forget it, you are in for a rough time. And so many prices are mislabeled, that I always have to argue about price at the counter, and the clerks are too lazy to go check the price tags when I tell them it was labeled at a different price than what they are ringing me up. If they do, they are rude, take forever, and make me wait forever. They never end up honoring the labeled price, even though its their mistake. Many, many items are priced incorrectly. The customer service at this store is just appalling, I only go here as a last resort at night, or on my way home from the subway, if i really need to. Most of the dairy case is kept at room temperature (not cold at all), and several dairy items were spoiled because of this including yogurts, cheeses, cream cheese, and butter. The yogurts were visibly spoiled and the containers were blowing up with gas forming inside. I spoke to the manager about this and she did not agree and refused to do anything about it. However, I did see them throw the visibly spoiled food away after I walked away, but when I came back 20 minutes later, the dairy case was still at room temperature. As far as I know, they are not going to lower the temperature. The attitude of the manager and clerk about all of this was appalling, rude, snarky, etc. The clerk even raised her voice and rolled her eyes at me. Unbelievable! read more

I was with my boyfriend in this duane reade today when some guy (I'm assuming someone who worked there) asked us to leave for no apparent reason. When my boyfriend tried to ask why he was asking us to leave the guy said he was an undercover cop but then refused to show us his badge when asked for it. Then the manager came and threatened to call the cops if we didn't leave. I'm not sure how this all got started or what we did wrong to deserve to be picked on so harshly. Needless to say, I'm no longer shopping at this duane reade anymore. read more

24hr!!!!!!! Yes this is the only place on Main St. in Flushing is open 24hr!!!!!!!! Late night munchies well stop by this location because those late night craving can be satisfied. They sell almost everything. The pharmacy dept. isn't 24hr but the over counter medicines should be enough to solve any medical needs. I am going to say 24hr!!!!!!! read more

Extremely slow service, especially when you are lining up to pay for items. I have been here a number of times since I use the pharmacy on the 2nd fl. The location is very convenient since it is located right next to the train station and several bus stations. Flushing is a very crowded place, so I completely understand waiting a bit longer on line when there is a lot of people. However, even when there is a only a handful of people on line, the service still takes an unreasonably long amount of time. For some reason, their prescription system also seems to be a little delayed. I recently transferred to this pharmacy because it was closer to train station and my doctor's office. But I have had multiple bad experiences waiting on the pharmacy line, and the pharmacists there are not helpful at all. I once had my doctor's office send a prescription to the pharmacy around 10am. When I stopped by the pharmacy at 12pm, I was informed that they have never received the prescription from the doctor and asked me to call the office to have it resent. So I left the pharmacy and called office, only to have them confirm that they had sent the prescription to the pharmacy at 10am but they would resend it just in case. So I went back to the pharmacy a little later to ask again only to be turned down a second time for the same reason. This was medication that I needed to take that same day, which was why I was persistent about asking for it. I made several phone calls to my doctors office to make sure that it was properly sent to the right address, and they informed that the pharmacy should have received their prescription already. However, when I asked the pharmacist there, I was told every time that they did not see it on their computer and could not give it to me unless they got the prescription through their system. At the end of the day, after checking several times, I had no choice but to leave my phone number with them and wait for them to get back to me. I did not receive a text until late the next day, around 4pm that my prescription was found and ready to be picked up. Unbelievably frustrating experience, and the pharmacists were not helpful in the least. Wasted a lot of time going back and forth for something that should have been very simple and straightforward. Do not come here if you expect anything to do done in a timely manner! read more

The Pharmacy and pharmacists here are terrible they always give me a hard time when picking up my refills they don't call the doctor to follow up and do not care that you haven't taken your medicine they do not take copay cards and don't know how to enter them on the register/computer I had a medicine copay card my doctor gave me and she said it works and this pharmacy was incompetent and did not know how to enter it and denied my medication they haven't even called me or my doctor to follow up when I haven't had any meds to take they don't care if something happens to me I hate you Duane reade pharmacy I would never come here if I didn't live nearby I prefer CVS instead they always have great service the pharmacist here also never engages with anyone or steps in to help the incompetent technicians one of the technicians is rude and condescending as well and they say Walgreens Motto is "be well" they don't give 2 darns about you being well they don't care you have no medicine read more

If you are a beauty addict like me, you will love this store. Beautiful layout, great quality hard to find brands, and really nice sales staff. I made a significant purchase each time that I visited and got really nice samples to go with it. Best drugstore for beauty supplies ever. read more
