I visited your store on Saturday at approximately 12:30 PM to purchase a newspaper and candy. After waiting in line, I was redirected to another register, where I waited again while an employee assisted another customer. When it was finally my turn, the employee became distracted by a colleague and proceeded to ignore me entirely while they focused on a phone. This lack of attention was unprofessional and disrespectful. When she eventually completed my transaction, she handled my items carelessly--scanning my purchase and then tossing it onto the counter without any regard. This level of service is unacceptable. Customers should not be ignored, dismissed, or treated with such disregard. I expect basic professionalism, attentiveness, and respect when making a purchase. This incident should be reviewed and addressed immediately to ensure this type of behavior does not continue. read more

So, I understand that they are often robbed however, I think this has left them overly paranoid. As I was in there recently and they were being rude. I was already at the register to pay and this old ugly woman was giving me dirty looks(cashier) and this younger employee that seriously needs to wash his face was walking up on me like he was going to do something. idk who they THOUGHT I was but I have zero reason to steal I'm very well taken care of. that being said I will never shop in here again only pick up prescriptions. OMG!!!!!!!!! Why ????? Hire me!!!! I will organize your photo department in ONE DAY!!! THREE TIMES I've sent photos here and photo calendars and THEY CAN NEVER find it !!! PHOTO department is a MESS and no one cares!!! They keep telling you to resend it but then when you do and go pick them up they can't find it because there is no designated person in charge of the photo department so everything is EVERYWHERE !! According to "Walgreens policy" they are not allow to throw out picture so wtf !!! I have massive pictures at this Walgreens instead of finding them they dismiss you and tell You to resend them. Why am I inside a Walgreens in east Elmhurst on Astoria Blvd at 930pm on a Wednesday evening , thats simple my buds flight from Los Angeles is delayed and I ain't waiting inside a darn airport for 3 hours . I prefer to walk around Walgreens, buy some snacks , diet Pepsi and grab a few trashy magazines and sit by the closed pharmacy reading my trashy mags in peace . Not kidding but for 30 minutes I did not see one soul including a customer or Walgreens worker walked by and thats just fine . Overall a standard Walgreens in Queens that has the basics and from what I can see from my seat by the corner, places looks well stocked and organized, let's give Walgreens 4 stars for letting me eat, drink and read without any interruptions. read more

This lady wouldn't allow my service animal at the store. She kicked me out & told me something was wrong with me when I told her Walgreens allows service animals on to the premises. This is the type of nasty people here working this location. Never has anything like this happened before, service animals are an exception. She needs to learn how to talk to customers. read more

Love this store. Over the years I've gotten to know everyone. Particularly the pharmacy. They are very caring and friendly. A new head pharmacist treated me like a drug seeking when I initially went to renew my pain meds (I've been on for five years successfully). I saw the others there take her aside and vouch for me. I know some customers can be demanding but over time it's calmed down. Very sweet staff that does their best as they can. Workers at the store always say hello and ask how I'm doing. This is my neighborhood store and I would rather tote my packages across the train and bus than shop here sometimes. Only received 2 stars because of my love for Walgreens. But this store sucks!!! Staff doesn't give a crap about anything. Isn't familiar with store policy or sales of the week. They are consistently out of stock of sales items or just plain dont carry items I know Walgreens carries and have purchased in other stores. Such a disappointment as I waited for my mom's prescriptions to see the pharmacy tech on his personal cell phone as he made a paltry attempt at customer service. I demanded he hang up before he ring me up to which I received an attitude "I'm taking care of you aren't I?" he sheepishly put his phone away after I showed him company ID and He was apologetic yet the pharmacist allows this so it's a vicious cycle. If possible I would give 0 star. This is in regard to Walgreens photo. Specifically - Photo Christmas cards. I have ordered photo Christmas cards over the years from here, no problems. Last night I placed an order (which took hours because of the way Walgreens photo selection is setup) The pictures were to be ready after 7:30am Monday (today). I went around 12:30 to pick them up. They are badly understaffed. I waited and waited. I had ordered 20 cards. On the side of the printer I saw my cards. There were only 12. Whoever was originally doing the cards, stopped because the printer ran out of ink and just left the cards there. While I was waiting a woman came, added ink & started printing. Then another woman came and started separating the 12 cards. The cards printing had yellow spots on them. I actually had to tell them I could not use them. The woman, then set it up to print again - I need 20 & only had 12 good ones. Again, yellow spots on the front & back of the cards. At that point I had been there for about 30 mins. Again, I said the cards with the spots I could not use. There now was a printer issue. I ordered 20, got 12 & they thought that was good. I had had enough and left - without the cards & a few things I had wanted to buy. But, this horrible experience might have been a good thing! I have just placed an order with CVS for Christmas photo cards. And it only took me 30 minutes. Walgreen Mgmt. Whatever is going on there, fix it! read more

This is by far the worst walgreens I've ever been to. The pregnant lady named Chandra who claimed to be a manager was extremely rude. I wanted to return soemthing I purchased at another walgreens within the last 24 hours and I had the receipt and she couldn't because her store didn't carry that item. The return policy states I can return it to any store but she said no. So I called the store I purchased it from and the manager there said I'm allowed to return it to any store. I asked Chandra if she was making up this policy , she said no but yet couldn't provide any written proof of this policy. I'd never recommend anyone to ship at this location. It's only getting one star because it won't let me put no stars. Fire these employees and hire people with real customer service skills. Oh and from what I noticed of the cashier, she didn't care about customer service either. She was extremely slow and she would wait until 9-10 people were in line before she would call for back up. I witnessed this happen like 3 times while I was there. She also didn't bother to even say "hi" to each customer. What a bad experience. read more

If I'm over at the boyfriend's house hanging out then 9 times out of 10 we end up going to this Walgreens to grab a Redbox, buy some snacks, or any other miscellaneous items. Half the time there's no one on the floor to help, you can visibly tell certain items have been stolen, or there are long lines with only 2 cashiers available. Things are very disorganized for the most part and a bit more expensive than your local Rite-Aid or CVS. I would rather go to another drug store if there were one closer. read more

Most of the pharmacy workers are so unprofessional and not helpful at all. About a week ago, I went and the pharmacist guy tells me I have no insurance and I tell him I definitely have insurance, then he tells me the insurance doesn't cover the prescription and I have to pay full price for it, then I tell him that must be the wrong insurance and he tells me nope that's the right one blah, blah blah by that time I'm PISSED so I decide to go home and so some research. Sure enough that WASN'T the correct insurance and I should not have to pay full price. I ended up having to come back two days later and was helped by a wonderful pharmacy intern from Buffalo who took care of everything and make sure that the insurance information correct. If it wasn't for him I wouldn't have ever gone back to spend not even a penny in that Walgreens. read more

I understand that the pharmacists are busy but there is never someone who is keeping an eye on the register. It always takes more than 5 minutes for one of them acknowledge the customer. Extremely unprofessional. Many times that I've been here, there's always that one "Pharmacist" who notices that someone is waiting to be taken care of and they act like no one is there. Terrible! As a customer who orders a lot of packages I don't like to get my packages stolen. In simple words my complain is that the workers who work with FedEx can be a pain to deal with. I show the lady my moms ID because it was in her name. It was a valid ID but it wasn't a state ID but if a bank can receive it then why does Walgreens give me a big problem just to pick up my shoes ? The fact that this walgreens is open till midnight is a plus. The overall staff is very helpful . They always know where things are and if it's not out on the shelves they go in the back & bring some out from the back. I love the photo deals walgreens has . They've had a couple of free prints as long as you have the code for them. I've been nothing but satisfied with the photo labs prices. They make it super convenient to upload your pictures from your own home on your computer and go pick it up within hours. read more

The pharmacist supervisor did not fill a prescription that was an electronic prescription stating I needed authorization first even though the prescription was in the system. Silo he had me call both my doctor and the other location to get the prescription changed. Both told me it was unnecessary and I managed to get the prescription from another employee who statesman was in the system sonic should be no problems. Then, I had to get a cough medicine prescription filled where with he stated he couldn't fill it because my doctor is in Brooklyn and I live in Queens. That's really stupid. I know about controlled substances and the rule about controlled substances but that made no sense. When I filed a complaint online it was the same person to call me back. He then stated that what's is the problem, do I not understand something.... Why did I get a phone call back regarding my filed complaint from the person I complained about? He then stated that "your complaint made timeouts like I didn't do my job." Why am I speaking to you again?" Stay far away from this Walgreens for prescriptions. I didn't appreciate being spoken to or treated in this manner. With a slight lung infection and tired of driving, I had to cough all night and have a fever. Thanks Walgreens!!
