However, there was one major drawback that significantly impacted my visit. Another patron and I did not have our physical Star Cards with us and needed assistance retrieving our accounts. We were told there was only one person on duty who could access this information at night. Unfortunately, we were informed that this associate was working another job, arrived 40 minutes late, and that we simply had to wait. We were also told that we could drive to another location if we didn't want to wait--but that is not a reasonable expectation for shoppers who are already in-store and ready to purchase. To make matters worse, when the associate finally arrived, there was no apology for the delay. This staffing limitation and lack of accountability was frustrating and ultimately spoiled what otherwise would have been an excellent shopping experience. It makes little sense to have only one individual authorized to handle such an essential function, especially during evening hours and the holiday season. With better contingency planning and customer communication, this could easily be corrected--because aside from this issue, the MCX truly excels in many areas.
