I've been meaning to update my review from 2 years ago because Currie Hall has fixed many of the…read moreproblems that I was experiencing at that time. The internet is much better and I don't typically have issues. There have been random days where the internet will go out for an hour or so, but this is rare. All amenities are open and have been for a while. The gym is open 24 hrs and there is a really nice outdoor fireplace by the pool. There are also new pool cabanas with couches. The study room has new furniture, including chairs with individual desks and outlets with a surrounding divider which is really nice for focusing. The staff have always been very nice and helpful and continue to be. Theo and Leo are great and make an effort to get to know the names of residents. I took off one star for a few reasons. The rent is pretty expensive, but the convenience of being close to the USC HSC campus can't be beat. The other reason why I took off a star is because Currie does not have allotted parking spaces in the lot for residents. It's up to residents to get a permit from USC Transportation. The parking garage has limited permits and residents enter a lottery in hopes of getting a parking spot. Lastly, Currie requires residents to resign their lease in the Fall for the following Fall in order to keep the same space the following year. But overall, I would recommend Currie to USC HSC students because it's convenient, has nice amenities, and apartments are fully furnished.

When I switched apartments, I was originally assigned to the two roommates (we were all renewing), but one week before our 2nd lease started, they switched out one of our roommates to a different unit with no explanation and refused to hear us out - they try to get you to renew your lease in October for a "special rent deal" but last year, due to their decreasing popularity, their rent prices decreased the next spring. They refused to match their new prices. - the bulk internet you're forced to pay for doesn't work well. They did nothing about it for the longest time despite complaints. I used data on my phone for two years lol - they will play loud fire alarm testing at random with no prior notice so good luck taking your online tests and interviews - the fire alarm will frequently go off and they also recently installed a new smoke alarm system that plays mind blowingly loud noises. If you burn your toast even a little bit, gl fam. They will not do anything about it. - there is no guest parking and you will get ticketed for parking in the retail parking - you also have to pay an extra 1000+ a year to park on the 5th floor of the parking structure - the sound insulation between rooms sucks - if you live in phase 2 your room will be musty as you can't open your windows and you will hear and feel the rumble of the train every few hours Their only saving grace is that the maintenance staff are pretty nice and some of their staff members like Theo are great.
