Prices are good, but know that the Marshall's next store might have the exact pair you're eyeing for a better price.

I spent days shopping all of the stores in the area for several weddings I had coming up, and came back and purchased almost all of the clothes I needed for myself and my family from this shop. The clothing selection is fantastic, gorgeous lehengas and suits along with some really unique options, for both men and women. Items at all price points, and some of the best prices for the higher end items I was looking for that I've seen. And the service was incredible, Netu spent an entire day with myself and my family helping us try things on, find options in our sizes, recommend things outside of our sizes that might work, help us figure out what could match and what could be ordered.... And was sweet enough to bring us water and chai when we were exhausted from trying on all the clothing! I'm only ever coming here for all of my future Indian clothing needs!

I came in looking for a bindi and Sheila from The Mall at Oak Tree helped me. I showed her the picture of my dress and she picked out nice bindis to wear. She also suggested I put on the dress and she would help me. The dress that I got from Amazon was too large and she took a bangle and made it fit better. I am very pleased with how friendly and helpful she was. Plus, the dresses here at the shop are absolutely beautiful!

I have purchased shoes/boots on several occasions in the past. On my last visit, however, I had planned to buy a pair of boots. I came into the store to decide which boot after seeing my choices in person. Just when I was about to make my decision, someone who seemed to be a manager came over and AGGRESSIVELY indicated that the boots I was considering were going to sell out, so I'd better snap them up if I wanted a chance at them. I ended up leaving without spending my money at that location. I bought the boots, but elsewhere. I might possibly return in hopes of encountering the "right" staff member if I was in the area. As I stated in earlier reviews at another location: When there is a sale, the prices are less, but no one who buys docs expects them to be cheap. Regardless, the value has never been location dependent. If you are looking see docs in person, try them on and buy them, you can accomplish that here. As this location is in NJ, no taxes makes the purchases less expensive.

Not being Indian, we wanted to go to an authentic business to ask for advice and get some direction. We encountered two female sales people who were seemingly annoyed by us. We went here already intimidated and feeling out of place but these women intensified this by needing to be asked to assist us. We explained that we were going to a friend's formal Indian wedding and had no idea what would be appropriate to wear and she was dismissive and pointed to where the men's clothing was for me and where the dresses were for my girlfriend. As we were trying to select what we thought was appropriate, we were warned that they would be closing in 15 minutes. We had questions but it was difficult to get help. Oddly, the other customers in the store seemed to feel the tension and offered their assistance, even complimenting my girlfriend on how nice she looked in one of the dresses she was trying on. While I don't have much to compare it to, it seemed rather pricey. Dresses started at $350 but some were on sale for 20% off. I saw some that were as expensive as $3500 but they seemed very beautifully made. Overall, we left very disenchanted. Because the wedding is on Friday, we really didn't have many options to go elsewhere so we purchased what we thought would be acceptable. When I asked what type of shoes would go with the outfit I purchased, the woman simply said "any shoes are fine." It definitely seemed as if this establishment does not welcome people outside of their own culture - even though I was very careful to be respectful and complementary of their merchandise. It's all really elaborate and overall pretty cool. We are both looking forward to a taste of a friend's culture and to wear these really interesting clothes.

There is always a new fashion- something that was in the latest movie or worn by the hip new Bollywood store. Fabrics are so complicated, the type of work on the outfit varies in craftsmanship, quality and materials and so on and so on. Usually, I have my outfits sent over from Delhi, but when I can't, I always visit Libaas first. Located one block from Oaktree Road in Edison (where most of the indian stores are located), this store is tucked away, yet on a main road (Rt 27). The location is not glamorous and the fitting rooms are small (has a sink and possibly an old kitchen counter?). Owner Usha Sondhi does a great job directing you to the latest arrivals, but also keeps the classics around for those that have a preference. The pricing is fair. I purchased one Anarkali churidar suit- double layered with net on top and shimmer material beneath with crystals and beadwork heavy on the bodice, waist and along the bottom, one child outfit with heavy beadwork, matching shoes and one child cotton outfit with light embroidery for $250. My Anarkali top had to be tailored which was done free of charge and ready two days later. The selection of children's clothing is AMAZING here-- most sizes, colors and styles available and for reasonable prices. Will definitely be back for more!
