I am not one to enjoy shoe shopping but today was different. DSW should change their name to discount sketchers warehouse. I have heard great things about sketchers...reluctant to buy. Not today...I found a really affordable pair that would be a great alternative for work so I can give me feet a break from sneakers and boots. The inventory did not have my size so I spoke to the manager, no name tag so I didn't get her name. She was able to order the shoe in my size and have it shipped to the store. No shipping and first time ordering from store additional savings. Thank you for making my nightmare of shopping for shoes and smooth experience. Looking forward to the shoes in a week or so. The service is good depending on who is working that day. There's a huge selection of items there and if it's not in stock you can order it online. I do believe that the value of some items can be priced better. But if you really want the item you will make the purchase. It's always clean in there and they have added trash boxes throughout to throw away your trash. read more

Large selection of shoes. This location is smaller than others I've been in. Although they offer a lot, it is still pretty hit or miss with me. I can't seem to find what I need when I need it. They have great sales and a good reward systems. When I have a coupon or special reward and can't find shoes, I will get some lotion or other novelty item they sell. Or, I will offer the coupon to someone at the register. This has proven to be worth my while, because I have racked up on more points this way. Nice store, always kept organized and clean. read more

This location has a lot of good options-- for men, women, and kids. I love their clearance rack. Sometimes you can find some real deals!

Don't buy online unless you have a store nearby. They advertise free returns, but that's only in store... they deducted $8.50 for the return. However when I went to fed ex, they charged an additionAl $12 to box the shoe box. It wasn't shipped to me in a box or I would have returned it that way. I won't purchase from them again. So it cost me $20 for a free return! read more

This location is ok, that's it. Nothing special about it. The store is a nice size but smaller than other DSWs I've been to. The jewelry and accessories section is smaller than it used to be. I rarely see any associates on the floor. The prices of the shoes seem high for the quality. read more

Lots of shoe choices! Even though you have a lot to choose from, I still can't find a pair that I really want! I saw a couple that I took a second look and was thinking about trying them on, but for me the price was still too high. I thought this place was supposed to offer discounts on shoes, but a lot of them aren't discounted any more than you can find them in a department store. The ladies that work here kept checking on me to see if I needed help several times while I was browsing. I value good customer service so hence the 5 stars from me. It is also a very clean store - everything is also well organized. It's definitely worth a look to see if they have a pair that will work for you! read more

Neat and clean store. Although there was no staff walking around to assist with sizes or questions. Drove all the way from Summerville just so we could get home and the alarm tag was still on the sneakers we purchased. When I called to let the manager know he just apologized and said that we'd need to come back to have it removed. This is why buying from a big boxed store is bad because there was zero effort to provide any type of incentives for the now 45 useless drive we had to take to get the alarm take off. I by no means am a shoe expert. Heck, I am barely a shopping effort. I cannot compare this shoe warehouse to the top shoe retailers in the world. I can say, it is a warehouse. Not in namesake only. The store is huge. Some things that stood out right away: 1. It is very spacious. 2. The sections are outlined well (casual, formal, male, female, sandals, etc.) 3. Everything is priced and the shoes boxes match the sample above 4. The staff is friendly, available and not pushy 5. The selection is ridiculous. They are light on cowboy boots, but not complaining. Even though I do like cowboy boots. 6. Prices are excellent. Based on the brands I knew, I thought the prices were very competitive and reasonable. I was impressed there. I moved to SC from IN back in 2014, and I was totally bummed because there was no DSW (at least that I was aware of). DSW was my go to shoe store back in Indy. Imagine how thrilled I was to find a DSW in Mt. P. WooHoo! This store feels very new. It's clean and well stocked. The staff are friendly. I'm used to being greeted at DSW and being told to have a good day upon exit. They don't disappoint here. The clearance section is abundant, but not out of date. I'm not sure how much sense that makes. I want just out of season fashion at a discounted price, but I don't want trends from 2 years ago. The prices are reasonable. One nice thing about this DSW is that they carry kids sizes. That was never the case in Indy. If you're looking for shoes, I recommend DSW. read more

After looking at seven other shoe stores near my home for a pair of nude wedge-heeled dress shoes for my daughters formal, I headed to DSW because I knew they wouldn't disappoint me. They had exactly what I wanted for a reasonable price. I also really love their clearance section. You can get some great shoes for $20, especially if you like heels. I love DSW and so glad we finally got one. I try to hit them up whenever I go back home to Atlanta but now I'm so glad I don't have to anymore. I can now better spend my time on more important things like going to Ikea and stuffing my face with real cuban food (what's a girl gotta do to get some cuban food in Charleston?) but I digress. I'd describe DSW as a better version of Rack Room Shoes, with DSW carrying slightly higher end name brands. For the most part they have reasonably priced shoes in the $30-$70ish range (though I'd probably debate that they can be a bit overpriced on some things). It's seriously chockfull of shoes and I've almost always been able to find the type of shoes I'm looking for here. I went opening week and was pleasantly surprised that they already had a bunch of shoes in their back sale section. I always hit that section first and I think DSW has great discounts. I can't remember exactly but they have four different sale discounts, something like 30%, 40%, 50% and 75% off (don't quote me on those though). It seemed like they still had some empty floor space to fill but I'm guessing they've done that now. TIP: They have a $15 off coupon right now. Search "DSW Mount Pleasant" on the website. This store, Designer Shoe Warehouse is as the name suggests. It's smaller than some locations, but there's a large selection of men's and women's shoes. More women's than men's. Although I'm a huge fan of the company, I'm not so sold on their actual stores. DSW.com is amazing. Thousands of choices online in a searchable database. The store couldn't possibly carry a sampling of their actual inventory. I've ordered several different brands and they have always fit and are immediately comfortable enough to wear all day.
