My experience at fleet feet was fantastic. I was looking for some new shoes and new insoles. I knew this place had a foot measurer that gives you a 3d model of your foot with all of your specifics! Coming in, Collin was really helpful and made me feel comfortable. It was a little weird to be barefoot in the store at first but then it seemed normal. The care and attention of the rep was really nice as he continued to give me options for what I wanted. I tried on 3 different pairs of shoes and decided on hokas. The color I wanted wasn't in store but Collin was able to get them ordered online ! I tried a couple insoles on the shoes I wanted and picked the best feeling ones. I was even able to go back and forth on what I wanted without feeling pressured. Once I decided, I paid for my shoes and insoles and they'll be shipped to the store in no time!! Super experience! We stopped in to pick up an online order for hub. Carter approached us immediately and quickly brought out the pair of Gaviota 5 HOKA sneakers that my husband ordered 4 days ago. They fit fine but I knew it was not what he really wanted and inquired if they had a particular Brooks style in stock. Carter quickly returned with the Brooks sneakers. They fit better! I have been to Fleet Feet to get my feet measured and to buy proper fitting shoes the last year. I came back today needing a new everyday shoe. As soon as I walked in the door, someone was available to assist me and welcomed me straight away. Hunter measured my feet then listened as I told him what I wanted. He pulled eight different styles and brands of shoes for me then was super patient while I tried and rated them all. The whole process took an hour. We settled on a brand and style then color. The specific shoe I wanted needed to be ordered in but he did everything possible to make sure I would have my new shoes in time for my upcoming vacation. The good: Was greeted right away by staff and was assessed before a big wave of people came in (and a waitlist started). Staff was attentive to my needs and understood my running problems, and provided me with several options to try. 60 day return policy no questions asked, so I feel confident fully trying out my purchase before committing to the shoe. I've seen kids as young as those who you would think are not old enough to walk, well maybe three years old, up to 80 years old or more trying on shoes walking them around in the store and feeling the comfort of the shoes. Certainly a number of employees, always there to provide great customer service. HEADS UP TIP: When you enter the store, there is a computer tablet for you to enter your name, to ensure that you are served in order of requesting. In very few minutes, you will be called by your name which obviously will have given you minutes to go around the store and look at all of the shoes on the wall shelving and various brands as well as jogging/running and exercise clothing. I went to fleet feet to get my planter fasciitis foot a good support shoes and upon entering I was greeted and asked to fill the check in ipad to wait for my turn. The person that help me gave me good information about the shoes that give good support and offer me to try the compression socks for daily wear. I didn't find the shoes yet due to my limited time but came home with sandals that support my arch and socks. I will definitely going back to this shoes store to get my proper shoes. read more

They also have a run every Monday night from the store and occasionally do the Wednesday night pub runs that rotate to different businesses around Charleston. Each Pub Run has giveaways, contests, specials, etc. Another impressive thing Fleet Feet has now is a basket of recovery "tools" such as foam rollers, sticks, and massagers. It's a great way to try one out before you shell out the big bucks for one, so you'll know if it fits your needs. They also have shoe demos and the safety light demos at group runs. Waited 10 minutes before a staff member even acknowledged me, then was asked if I joined a waitlist, which I didn't know existed. In hindsight, it felt as though I wouldn't be acknowledged unless I'd joined the list, though again it wasn't clear that I had to. After 15 minutes I then waited at the counter and felt uncomfortable waiting again and not sure what to do to get a team member's attention. I was very disappointed by this experience. read more

I came in experiencing knee pain and thought different shoes might help even though I have not been nice to my knees, having been a runner most of my life and playing a LOT of soccer, along with many other sports. After a long run today and my feet killing me, I decided to go by fleet feet to get a new pair of shoes. A couple people had recommended them, but I had no clue how wonderful they were until I went in! They measured my feet in multiple ways, and watched how I run and walk to determine which shoes to try on. Then they brought me a selection of shoes to try. They put them on my feet, tied them and everything! Kind of felt like a princess! They let me go for a run on the sidewalk to make sure I liked what I had tried on. The best part was I didn't realize they were past closing time, and they were not even rushing me! Although, the shoes are pricy, they are well worth it for the quality and customer service. WOW! Customer service! We were visiting Charleston from out of town. Upon arriving, I discovered that my running shoes didn't make the trip. A quick Yelp search led me to discover this Fleet Feet relatively close to our hotel....including a Yelp Check-in deal! Since I'd recently been fitted at a Fleet Feet, I stopped in. The place was relatively busy. I was told to sign in; however, as I was writing my info, a gentleman came to help me. I explained my situation. He offered to do a fitting; however, understood completely that I just wanted another pair of my favorites. He quickly returned with the shoes that I'd requested...in the wrong size. He explained that store was out of my size. But, he'd already called the other store to reserve the pair for me. He gave me several options to get the shoes. None fit right, so my husband carried me to Fleet Feet. I was unable to use their digital measuring device, but Chris measured my feet old school with that metal foot slide rule. Then he quizzed me about what was wrong with the shoes I wore in. He brought 6 varieties of shoes for me to try. I needed a standard width not a W as I had been ordering.
