This store is large, organized, and clean. The layout of the store makes it easy to navigate between departments. The women's Nike section is large. Overall, they have a nice selection of items but that's sizes for many items are limited. The women's shoe selection is basic. They carry Clemson and Carolina gear. I've never seen many associates on the floor but I never need assistance. You definitely won't get any deals here as there are rarely sales. Masks are optional and some of the staff wear them. They sell equipment for water sports as well as racquetball type sports. They offer a decent amount of athletic clothing to include sports bras, work out leggings, t-shirts and tank tops. They sell athletic shoes as well as cleats in youth and adult sizes. I often find that it's difficult to locate a customer service associate on the floor when I have a question because it seems that they generally stick pretty close to the register area. I definitely think that someone should be walking through the store to answer customer questions. The store layout is very organized and it's generally easy to navigate. Overall, there are plenty of useful items that can be found in Dicks. The prices are comparable to other big box stores however the convenience of finding the items needed in one location is definitely a benefit of shopping at Dicks. I had been having the toughest time trying to find quick-dry, non-parachute material, non-legging pants. I finally found them at Dick's Sporting Goods, but the selection was limited and there weren't many sizes left to choose from. However, what really elevated my experience and what will encourage me to return to Dick's Sporting Goods (this store in particular) is the cashier, Avery, who helped me with my purchase. He was so professional, courteous, and knowledgeable! I needed to return some items and price-match other items, and he did all of it so quickly! A bit out of the way and on the small side for a Dick's but I was happy to see they still had everything I was looking for. They had a tent sale in the deserted parking lot that had to be 1/2 the size of the entire store. I think this store could increase sales with a location change. I was having a decent experience looking for putters for myself when I asked to use the putting green to test out a putter before buying. I asked a man named STEVE and he abruptly snapped at me saying how "we only give balls to buying customers. I'm updating my previous review (which I still stand by) because I was contacted by Dick's after answering one of their standard email surveys with an honest review of my experience. The young lady who reached out to me was very empathetic and helpful. She advised that they didn't have any of the Kelty bag in stock that I wanted at that time, but that they had a 65L bag of the same brand which she'd happily send me free of charge. I had originally looked at the 50L Kelty bag, so it's a little bit bigger. She let me know that if it arrives and doesn't fit the way that I'd like it to, I can return it to the store for a store credit, and pick out another bag in the future that fits better. The bag should arrive this week. When a standard survey came in with a request for my review of that interaction, I gave her high praises. She took ownership of the problem and found a way to solve it, without passing me off to someone else. read more

I love coming into Dick's. The selection is phenomenol. The sales staff is knowledgeable about their products, and even though their prices are not the cheapest: You get what you pay for. I came into Dick's today to buy a bicycle for my daughter. There was only one sale person working in the bike department while we were there, so we had to wait a few moments to be helped. Once the sales guy was freed up to help us, he was super awesome! My daughter and I looked at 2 models of bicycle, a Nishiki and a DPX. He explained all the features, and differences and similaries of each brand of bike. We made our decision, and the nice sales guy did a quick tune up and a few adjustments so the bike would be a perfect fit for my kid. He even loaded it into my SUV for me when we left. So even though they are a tad more expensive than I like, I come back to here over and over because (from kayaks to lacross gear), they always have what I need and the sales force to answer all my questions. read more

This location is rather large with different areas inside, golfing focused on one side, outdoor life on another, team sports in a corner, shoes at the back, etc. I do find their shoe selection is vast and it takes me for time to decide. But the shoe purchase is important, so I want the right one. The athletic clothing department anchors the middle of the store, here you find all the name brands that exist, and you pay the price too. There are sale racks around too. But they have more than most common big box stores, so if there is something you want or need they probable have it. Service can be modest at best, they staff is around but they are not out being proactive to help. You usually have to seek them out, but when you do they can be friendly and helpful. So This Dick's is relatively dead, I don't know why. There is a good selection of products and if you are looking for fitness/home gym stuff there is a LOT, but it is not as stocked as many of the other Dick's that are around. One thing I noticed, was in the Golfing area, most of the new DSGs have an area where you can actually measure your swing and adjust so that you can get your new clubs. Similar to what is across the street at Edwin Watts, this one doesn't. By the Sneaker section, there are a lot of Women's Shoes, but not a lot of Men's varieties, especially for running but it was adequate. The bike section is relatively small, but the camping/outdoor/fishing section is a pretty good size. I think the one thing that you come to DSG for is the prices are very reasonable and there is always a sale. The Associates are friendly and helpful though and the store is very clean. LD read more

Thom recommended me a pair of shoes based on this, and helped me find them in my size, which is often difficult as I wear men's 14. He was very helpful and personable, and he went above and beyond. I went first thing in the morning and the sales staff was eager to help me with what I needed. I was able to purchase weight lifting gloves and a dip belt from a brand that I trust, with the gloves being bought in a coloring i've never seen. STAFF YOUR STORE! Dick's sporting goods is like so many other places you have been. The store is full of trinkets but lacks quantity on decent products. I assume by placing water bottles and tumblers all over the store, you think all of your shoppers are severely dehydrated. Maybe it's just filler for the lack of product. On many occasions I have been to this location and struggle to find someone to assist me. Remember when you could buy a flashlight without having to hunt someone down with key to unlock the anti-theft tags? Once you do find someone it then becomes a gamble if it's "their department" or not. I primarily blame corporate offices for short staffing stores with employees and I blame local management for not having employees on the sales floor? As a person who has worked in the customer service industry I can tell you things could be done better here. Pricing here is on the high side and there is nothing in this store so unique to justify the pricing. On another note why does this sporting good store have 16 handicapped parking spots? I am all for have close access parking for disabled people but 16 spots at a sporting goods store?! ( I'll try to attach a picture ) In conclusion, this store needs improvement. Staffing is priority, staffing attitude effects shoppers attitude, pricing needs to be addressed, parking lot is silly, store merchandise needs improvements and less filler. I went to shop for a bb gun for my boy. After about 20 minutes of seeing no one, I finally found a young man to ask a question and he said, "Just to let you know we close at 7, so you might want to take your purchases up front." I said, " Oh, sorry, I wasn't even thinking it was Sunday". I looked at my watch and it was 7:05. I needed co2 for the gun so I could leave,but couldn't find them when a male semi long haired manager came up. I said, "Excuse me where are the co2?" He says, " We keep them behind the counter ,but you've been told SEVERAL times we're closed. WE open again tomorrow." He gave them to me anyways and while checking out he came up so I said,"Just to let you know I was only told that once." He says, "That's fine, but I hope you'd be considerate of us because we've had a long week." I have worked in the restaurant industry for over 25yrs and stayed hours after we closed, but I guess 15 minutes past closing is too much for Dicks, and yes my receipt says 7:15. This manager is obviously more concerned with getting out as quick as possible than making your company money. So, I will be returning the merchandise tomorrow to getting my $100.85 and I won't be back. read more

This review is regarding an item purchased online for store pick up. I purchased an item that was for in-store pick up the next day. The following day I called and spoke with a customer representative and was informed that the item would be there, and I would be able to pick it up in the next 30 minutes. I arrive an hour later, only to be informed that the item was not ready for pick up because an email had not been sent out. It didn't seem to matter that I had been personally informed I can pick it up. I was told to await for email confirmation. The next day, after still no email confirmation for the item I was supposed to get the previous day, I called the store again. This time I was told they didn't have the item and they would not be able to get the item for me. I see this as a failure of the corporate and their website and the actual store themselves. read more

I went to this store last Saturday evening wanting to buy a treadmill as my motor on mine had just blown. Unfortunately, I waited over twenty minutes standing on a treadmill and watched FIVE service people walk by me and avoid eye contact. I had two children with me who were playing on the elliptical so I know we were seen. The store was not busy and I was flat out ignored. Tonight I spent $2500 online on a new Nordic-track. At 1:05pm, Thomas pointed me in general to the watersport footwear. After untangling the selections, I took 2 pair to checkout. I also picked up a kitkat candy bar. At 1:12, Thomas completed my checkout and when I took my bag I saw that he had NOT rung up the kitkat bar. Then, I noticed that he had told me two pair of shoes for $9.99, but the total was $52.05, so I stopped him. He told me that the registers were not working and had rung up one pair twice, and he would remove it. He had trouble, and 4 customers in line were getting angry, and almost as impatient as me. He called another associate, who was not able to fix the problem. After 15 minutes of stumbling around, they called Gil. Meanwhile, I'm looking around for the Candid Camera and someone to pop out and say "Surprise, you're on Camera!" Gil showed up, irritated and impatient, and took me over to his register. He was able to put everything through, refund the overcharge, extract a signature from me, leaving me hanging without a goodbye, I'm sorry, or any other customer service, and brusquely walked away, finally completely my transaction at 1:22. I don't blame them for this incompetent waste of my time. I believe their customer service training is very lacking. read more
