I ordered online for store pickup, and it was ready in an hour with no wait. Customer service was friendly and efficient.

I was on the hunt for a few pairs of cute/comfy sandals for my vacation. The organization in this store makes all the options easy to sort through. I always find at least one cute pair of shoes at DSW and this time was no different- I got three pairs of sandals on sale and was extra happy because I got an unexpected extra 20% off at the register- shoutout to the employee who caught the extra deal. read more

Had a good experience here. Big shoe stores seem to always have trash and bits scattered everywhere, but this store was very clean and squared away. All the shoes I looked at were very well stocked with many sizes available. There were plenty of options for men's shoes and it was just a fraction of the entire store. The selection of women's shoes was enormous. The staff were friendly but not overly so. The hours and location are convenient. I would not hesitate to go back. read more

Popped in for just the right footwear for an outfit. Great variety, and they're pretty ok on the prices also. They have a large clearance section that ranges by percentage. The clerks there are friendly and helpful. It's always a pleasure stopping by. read more

I don't visit a DSW shoe warehouse often, but joined my wife for a quick visit to this location while shopping in the Elmwood area this afternoon. The store has a more modern appearance than the others I've been to. We got in & out quickly, because even though they have a pretty extensive inventory, she didn't find exactly what she was looking for. We didn't interact with any of the staff, so I can't speak to their service level, but the store is clean and easy to navigate. read more

I needed to find a quick pair of shoes for my niece and figured DSW was the best option. I love how spacious this store is. That combined with the requirement to wear masks made me feel very safe while shopping. My niece decided to get some Crocs and there wasn't a huge selection but I thought the pricing was fair. While waiting to checkout, we were tempted to grab an AirPod case and a phone charger (so my niece would stop using mine lol). I was planning on getting those items from somewhere cheaper, but figured my time was worth the extra money. The cost wasn't bad though. I also want to mention that the employee that checked us out was very friendly as well. Thanks DSW for a great, Covid friendly experience! read more

This is where we come to get most of our shoes. Not only is there a huge selection but I can order online and get it shipped to my house or store. This DSW is much like the other ones, BUT the other ones do not have Jasmine and Shannon as customer service associates. These ladies usually help us each time when we have questions. They are the reasons for the 5 stars! read more

There a rows upon rows of women's shoes. I dare say 80% of the merchandise is women's shoes. Though I like the idea of all of these options, I am unsure how much male clientele come in and get frustrated at the lack of choice. I came in on a wet and rainy weekend in December, I was looking for solid black rain boots (it floods pretty badly here in the greater New Orleans area when it rains. I also wanted saddle oxfords for a costume, and after looking at the website, both were said to be in stock, in many sizes. Cut to when I came in. They had plenty of shoes, just not the specific two that I was looking for, despite the website stating they were in. When I asked a clerk, she stated that sometimes the website was incorrect with no other help offered, or suggestions of other places to go to. This is a prime location at the Elmwood Shopping Center, a large parking lot, plenty of parking. I will be back in the future when I am not set on specific shoes, but have a more general idea in mind. Lesson learned. If anyone knows where to get those saddle oxfords in black and white, let me know! Again, I will be back when I don't have my heart set on something specific! read more

Where have I been??? Absolutely not in Elmwood at the Designer Shoe Warehouse! I happen to be in Elmwood and wanted to pick up a pair of athletic shoes for my husband so I searched on Yelp for " athletic shoes" , up pops DSW! I actually never even realized it was right there! I found nice shoes for my hubby and my daughter scored 3 pairs of shoes! They have a great selection and pretty good prices for the more expensive shoe brands. I will be back soon for my shoe shopping spree! read more

Im totally not a shopper... But I HEART shoes. I think here is where a shoeophile goes to die. Rows & Rows of shoes... If you can't find it here, then it doesn't exist. I've always had pleasurable experiences at DSW, but this time was epic. In & out, stick & move bc I had a 8p movie I had to make & it was 7:30p when I entered. I perused the ladies section & then headed to the back wall of happiness... THE CLEARANCE SECTION!!!!! There, I found a few items that tickled my fancy, but since time was of the essence, I had no time to play... So forward march. Clearance didn't have me covered this time go round, so regular priced it was. I can admit, although it's a specialty store, the prices are quite comparable, if not less than other retail stores; Hello $45 for my black low quartered chucks... I saw some for $60; goodness. PLUS, there's a reward card system where you buy X number of shoes & you get this discount or that discount. Ample parking in a shared lot. Very friendly informative & helpful staff. I love this place. Soooooo, if you just so happen to go & there's a lady passed out at the very entrance, just step over me, as I'm sure I've had a shoegasm && SHOP ON DUDE!!!!! read more

This is still a really new store. Walking in, there are handfuls of folks ready to assist you in finding what you want. I've never seen so many workers in one DSW. However, everyone was pleasant and friendly, offering everything from running to grab another size to seeing what purses might match a certain selection. The selection itself was pretty good. Tons of sandals, flats and wedges for summer. The clearance area had some good finds, and the bags were colorful with a lot of options. read more

If a DSW opens near you, give it time! My first visit to DSW was right when they opened, and I was disheartened by the lack of shoes that fit my personality/style. I'm kind of very particular about the kind of boots I like, and while sneaker wedges were a passing trend, I still thought they might have some options (I know...I love sneaker wedges). I didn't go back for quite a while till probably 4 or so months ago to find shoes for a wedding. Boom. Sales rack spoke to me, and I found two pairs of heels that could work for my bridesmaid dress at very reasonable prices. Their sales rack becomes like an Easter Egg hunt for me with the different colors (indicating percentages off) the eggs. I'm an 8.5 and they have a solid number of sales rack rows dedicated to this size. The last time I went, I bought three pairs on sale including black kitten heels, snakeskin party heels, and shiny paten leather red pumps ('cause every Yelp CM needs a pair of these), and a small black purse to replace one that was literally falling apart. I've still yet to really embrace their boot selection, and I honestly haven't bought a pair that HASN'T been on the sales rack yet, but I really enjoy finding unique shoes for a reasonable price in the back. Pro-tip: Check half sizes up and down in the sales section because they may fit! read more

Of course I went to this location on opening day and the next day and went a little crazy being surrounded by shoes in a warehouse setting. Things to be careful about.... 1. Expect to be overwhelmed. There are seriously a lot of shoes, stilletos, pumps, sandals, wedges, and more. So make sure to pace yourself. Note their is a men's section for shoes but this location does not have kid's shoes. 2. Clearance Section. I normally suggest you start in the back of the store at the clearance section so you can feel a little accomplished finding some extra good deals that may make you feel like you just won the Olympics or that just could be me... 3. Wait. Be prepared to wait in line once you found your deals. The trick about living in New Orleans is folks get extremely excited when something new open and everyoneeeeee wants to visit so the lines are normally long. Shopping Strategy Guide... Enter... Proceed to the back Clearance..... Proceed to left if looking for special event shoes...Proceed to middle if looking for casual and work shoes... Proceed to right if looking for sandals, sneakers..... Proceed to right front if in search of men shoes... Proceed to left if in search of purses. read more

We love DSW because there are always plenty of choices. I have never been disappointed. I have even ordered online and received my shoes in no time. I get coupons regularly to make it better. read more

Finally we have a DSW in New Orleans!! The lay out is the same as all DSW stores I've been to with the bags on the right hand side at the front, clearance at the back and shoes shoes shoes inbetween!! They have an awesome selection and good prices. The employees are still learning the computer system as they have only been open since last Thursday but they are very friendly and welcoming. I'm looking forward to going back here. read more

Went today not knowing what to expect considering I usually can't afford designer shoes, however, this place is a goldmine!! Anne Klein pumps for $17!!! Two other pairs with those. The light pink Bandolinos were $34!!! Soooo worth paying the reasonable full price of $59.94 for my black lace Caparros. Sales associates were very friendly and helpful. I like the shopping tote they give you to walk around with. Freed up my hands after I put the 3 boxes inside. Store was very clean and well organized. This is definitely my new go to place for shoes. Already recommended to 2 other people. read more

DSW Designer Shoe Warehouse - designer shoes...not so designer prices!! 3 pairs all together less than $100 - Shoe Stores Near Me - Harahan, Louisiana

DSW is my go to place for shoes, from sneakers to sandals to fancy heels. They have good sales and promos and a great loyalty/reward program. I got my training nikes here last year and they are holding up very well. They even have a few designer brand shoes like michael kors, toms, Steve Madden etc... I can normally find my size, but if not the staff can order them and ship them to you for free. It is a nice big space, but can be very busy on the weekends. read more

I love DSW so much. Any time I'm in a pinch and need a pair of shoes, they come through. Popular sizes (7-8) sell out faster than others, but you just have to check back if there's something you're after and they don't have it (or check online). The people who work here are always super helpful and nice. I'm so glad DSW came to the NOLA area. If you aren't already a member - join their rewards program. It's so worth it. read more

The shoes here are weird for me. Allow me to explain- I wear 3 different shoe sizes depending on the brand. Sometimes I wear a 7, sometimes it's a 7.5 and sometimes it's an 8. Most of the time, one of these sizes ends up being the perfect fit for me, so it's not usually an issue...until now. I came here to check out the sale they were having. I was in the market for sandals, so that's where my focus was. First I tried on the size 8s and they were all too big. Then I tried on the 7.5s but they were too narrow and smooshed my foot and all of my toesies didn't fit into the shoe. I felt like I was in a weird Goldilocks/Cinderella situation. If I were to buy shoes here, my only option would be to get the 8s and just deal with that fact that they are going to be loose. This is probably just a "me" issue and not the store's fault, but I have never left a store unable to fit comfortably in the shoes. It was a bummer, mainly because I was hoping to take advantage of the sale that they were having. I might try again if I'm in the area, maybe I should try different styles. read more

Mildly overpriced, but very large selection. They will always have your size. One thing I found odd though, when the first opened they still had a clearance section. Weird. read more

Got some really cute real Sperry boat shoes here. They were about half the price they would be retail. They also had a purse that I wanted and I didn't buy but now it is sold out! Will definitely go again! read more

Very disappointed in this location. Store was neat (during the day on a Tuesday afternoon), but there was only one cashier while ten people waited in line. Another employee came up to assist that cashier, but waited a while before opening a second register. The cashier I had was not able to process my gift card for my purchase. I ran my card several times, and then the cashier wanted me to input the numbers from the card, but was not able to bring up the screen for me to do so. I left without the shoes and without being able to redeem my gift card. Staff needs training and backup from a competent manager. read more

DSW should be called WDSW since it's over run with women's shoes. Not the best place to find men's shoes

This place has every shoe you're looking for. Even if you came in for something specific, there is a chance you'll leave with something else! This is also the first DSW I've come across that has amazing customer service. I was guided to the shoes I needed and then was given an online tour when I couldn't find my size. read more

I LOVE DSW!!! Great selection of shoes, the rows seem like they go on for days!! So many different types and styles to choose from for both women and men. My favorite is the clearance racks! The staff is very helpful and friendly, if an item is not in the store they can order it online(if available). read more

I love DSW but the customer service here is below average. I called ahead of time to ensure they had what I wanted and they didn't. Alex was rude and unhelpful. He was putting me off not just being lazy and wanting to transfer a pair of shoes from Baton Rouge. I called ahead of time to both stores and Baton Rouge has the shoes I wanted. Alex said they had what I needed also so he wouldn't have to transfer the shoes from the other store. I drove all the way over there to discover he lied to me and didn't have what I wanted. He kept awkwardly walking around and walking away from me and asking me questions from halfway across the store. Bringing attention to himself and probably trying to avoid being called out on being a dumb*$$ and a liar. Wasted my time and money coming all the way over here for no reason. When it could have been solved on the phone, which I attempted to do but he was too lazy to transfer the correct shoes in the first place. Better to avoid Alex and shop online or at another store where you're not lied to. read more

Places like this are a catch 22. I love being able to walk in and know I will find what I am looking for and probably a few other things that I wasn't looking for. They make it too easy for you, everything is organized by style so if you are in need of a pair of dressy flats you can walk straight down the 100 foot aisle and find what you need. If you do not see your size they will order and ship it to your house (for free) Seriously, take all my money! The downside is I have always been a "shop local or die" girl. I myself work closely with a local boutique so I make a conscience effort to support these small businesses that are the fabric of our community and I fear places like this pull business away from the 400 square foot boutique down the street. I know I am getting way off topic so I will reel it in. DSW is a great place to find shoes at a not so bad price, but be savvy when it comes to those prices, because its not always the best deal out there. Customer service has been hit or miss. I have had (most) people want to go above and beyond and (some) have major attitude problems. I will always check in with the local spots first, but when in a jam its a good back up plan. read more

The selection is great! I have brought sales as much as regular price shoes, but the D in DSW doesn't stand for discount. Best deal you will get is if you can find 3 coupons (you can use up to 3) if you are lucky enough to find them. Honestly you can get a better price @ Marshals, TJM or Stein Mart, but if you want the latest styles and are willing to pay for it this is the place read more
