This place is located in a strip mall area by Time's Waipahu across of Festival Market. I was greeted by my massage therapist, Lulu, who happened to be hanging out near the entrance when I arrived. I told her why I needed a massage and asked her to specifically work in my upper trap area. The room is not your "glamorous spa" type of room, yet it gave peaceful vibes with the large massage table and sheets. Lulu's pressure was firm and you could tell she was using her entire body to provide me the pressure I asked for. She demonstrated amazing soft tissue massage techniques throughout and even gently mobilized some of my joints. To be quite honest, it was hard for me to relax here, but I came here for a therapeutic massage that can target the tight areas of my body not for a "relaxing spa day." Lulu continuously asked me throughout the session if her pressure was too hard or if I was in pain and made adjustments as needed. My massage also included hot stones, which I was not expecting but I was not opposed to. I had already rearranged my schedule for a 4:30pm appointment, so that was disappointing. They offered to move me to 6:30pm, but I wasn't able to adjust my schedule again. On the day of my rescheduled appointment, I presented my Groupon voucher to pay. This is where things became uncomfortable. The massage therapist appeared visibly upset and walked away, and the owner returned to inform me that not all therapists accept Groupon clients. I was told I should have mentioned the Groupon when booking. While I understand policies are important, this was not communicated clearly beforehand, and the way it was delivered felt abrupt and somewhat scolding. As for the massage itself, it was okay but not exceptional. There was a noticeable language barrier, and I was not asked what type of massage I preferred or what areas needed focus. At times, the pressure felt inconsistent -- almost as if there wasn't a clear plan of muscle work being done. Overall, I think clearer communication would greatly improve the client experience, especially regarding Groupon policies. The atmosphere at the end felt tense and uncomfortable, which left me with not-so-great vibes. It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't somewhere I'd choose to return to.

He gave me the best massage I have ever had and had a warm and likable personal energy, which made the session relaxing and pleasant. Not only was I able to sleep without pain the past three nights since my session with him, but the chiropractic adjustment he performed on my neck, back, hips, and shoulders after my massage also made it easier for me to breathe. I didn't realize how being out of alignment could affect my breathing, but it did. When I was lying on my side the first night after my massage session, I noticed I could take a full breath. Before, I always felt like I wasn't able to. My sacrum, spine, and apparently everything else was out of alignment/. He made many adjustments I had never had before, and every single one was highly effective in making me feel better.
