I have been looking for a massage therapist who could relieve my back pain for longer than a few hours. Emilio is my go-to MT from now on. He gave me the best massage I have ever had and had a warm and likable personal energy, which made the session relaxing and pleasant. Not only was I able to sleep without pain the past three nights since my session with him, but the chiropractic adjustment he performed on my neck, back, hips, and shoulders after my massage also made it easier for me to breathe. I didn't realize how being out of alignment could affect my breathing, but it did. When I was lying on my side the first night after my massage session, I noticed I could take a full breath. Before, I always felt like I wasn't able to. My sacrum, spine, and apparently everything else was out of alignment/. He made many adjustments I had never had before, and every single one was highly effective in making me feel better. Emilio started by wrapping the towel around my neck and straightening my spine, then proceeded from there. All adjustments were made after a ninety-minute deep tissue massage, which was fantastic and, again, the best massage of my life. The wife and i were visiting Oahu from San Diego and I had been complaining about neck pains for the past few months. Luckily, by happenstance I found Mr. Emilio while walking around the swap meet at Aloha Stadium. I didn't need an appointment and he was able to examine me and adjust me right away! Among other adjustments that he did the best was the decompression adjustment with the towel. If you ever watched those chiropractic YouTube videos where the chiropractor has you lay down on your back and wraps a towel underneath your head to give the appearance that your head is about to be ripped off... it was like one of those. I've never had this type of adjustment before so i was pretty excited when i saw him taking out the towel. I feel like that adjustment undid years of neglect! Long story short, i feel GREAT and my neck doesn't bother me anymore. Emilio is very personable. If i didn't live in San Diego, he'd got sure be my go to chiropractor and we'd probably end up being best friends or something. My love for massages runs deep like the ocean. They are so awesome, especially after a long and stressful week. So when I found out that Emilio's office was in the same shopping center that I worked at, I was beyond thrilled to know that I could just walk 2 minutes to his office after a busy shift or just stop by even on a day off. A major factor to consider when you go to get a massage (or anywhere you receive customer service really) is to see how much the employees love their job. I mean you wouldn't want to receive services from someone who frowns every time they look at you right? With Emilio, that is never an issue. He is so passionate about his job and is so willing to share with you his gift: the gift of a healing touch. I'm usually pretty reserved and guarded so his enthusiasm and excitement to share his gift with me was a little weird and somewhat overwhelming when I first met him, but after the first session, those walls came down and I saw the light. Now every time he talks about his craft, I can't help but smile because I can feel his joy radiating through him. As far as the massages go: they are out of this world. He applies the right amount of pressure and oil so that it's comfortable for his patients. Have a super bad knot? Oh, you best believe he'll find it and work it out for you. He always lets me know when he is going to apply more pressure to a certain spot and gently reminds me to just breathe. He is always trying new techniques and will let you know before hand when he's going to do something different. The oils he uses (of the doTerra brand I believe) are different with every session; one time it was sandalwood, the next it was lavender and something else. No biggy really, but if you have a favorite scent let him know and if he has it he will use that during your session. If you're not seeing Emilio, y'all are definitely missing out on some magical and wonderful healing therapy. I recently got into a traffic accident and my neck, back and spinal area was hurting and so I was looking for a good chiropractor who can fix these areas. This is when my good friend referred me to Emilio and what can I say, I was glad that I came to see him! When I explained my problem areas with him, he immediately proceeded with checking my entire body. He found out that I had even deeper issues with my neck and damage on my back cartilage that I was not even aware of. Scheduled an appointment for my youngest daughter who is in competitive gymnastics for a sports massage. My daughter really needed it as Emilio said that her back was a little off aligned. I believe its due to her mishap on the high bars. She loves it as this is her first time! Room wasn't as big as expected but She enjoyed the smell of the lavender essential oil.
