I've been here twice and bit times they've healed my pain. I had a frozen shoulder for a year and within one session I had full range of motion back with my shoulder. My second visit a year later was for an irritating tennis elbow that I had for almost a year and after my massage I don't have any issues with tennis elbow anymore. Not going to sugar coat it, Thai massage is not for everyone. They'll get to the trouble area and stretch farther than you think you can go but it's all to help heal you. Went in to see Nan after many good reviews and they were right! Nan addressed my problem area and really took her time trying to get my knots out. Although she couldn't get them all (Considering they were deep and I hold my stress all in my shoulders), my shoulders felt so much looser and I was able to stretch my arm across my body without pain! 1 star off is because there was no relaxing music playing, so for 90 mins I had to listen to drills and hammers from the construction going on in the back. ASK FOR NAN! I stumbled across Thai Aloha Massage by luck via a Yelp search. I was about an hour away but was willing to do the drive since I was in dire need of some relaxation. I'm on a quick vacation so driving an hour on the beautiful island didn't really deter me. I called around 12:30pm and was able to snatch up a same day appointment for about 2:45pm. When I arrived, Nan kindly greeted me at the front desk with some water. I had to complete a quick questionnaire as it was my first time visiting. After the quick check-in, Nan escorted me to my room and provided me directions of what clothing to leave on, and where to leave my belongings. I jumped on the massage bed and she came in shortly after to ask what my pressure preferences and where my focus areas were. As soon as she started working on my knots, I knew she was the one that would change how I view Thai massages forever! Haha. Nan hands down delivered the best Thai massage I have ever had in MY LIFE! She worked on each part of my body steadily and with the appropriate pressure in each area (not sure how she gauged it so perfectly throughout the entire massage session). I never once felt the pressure being too hard or not enough -- it was fire. It's like she had been working on me for years and knew every spot to hit. She spent about the first 30 minutes with the traditional Thai massage techniques of stepping, elbow and forearm massaging, etc., and then she spent the latter part of the hour with the stretching. She stretched me in every direction and even in directions I forgot I could maneuver into because let's face it -- we're not getting any younger around here. The point is I walked out of this spot feeling like a brand new person. All the tight muscles, stiffness, soreness, etc. are all gone. I feel more fluid, relaxed, and pampered. Don't say I didn't prep y'all -- ASK FOR NAN! You will not regret it! I'm only on the island for a week and I plan on seeing her once more before heading home. Went here on a recommendation from my co-worker and was looking to get a body massage since I felt like I was overdue for one. I chose Ning Ming as she was highly recommended. I also went with the combination and the 90 minute session; not too short or not too long and a little mix of everything. I was very nervous at first because it's been a long while and my first experience elsewhere wasn't the best. Checked in a little early and got started right away. Atmosphere was very cozy, the music was calming, and the smells were therapeutic. Almost fell asleep a couple times cause the bed there is so much softer than my own. They ask if you have any problem areas and will incorporate that into their session. Mine was my neck and shoulder. Ning Ming is a master in what she does; I now know why my co-worker passionately recommended her. She took the extra time to focus her energy on my shoulder and neck areas. Of course I'm met with discomfort but that quickly went away as the session went on. She applied the right amount of pressure at every angle making the sessions seamless and true. Felt like she was dancing the whole time. At the end of the session I felt refreshed and ready to take on the world. The next day (today), my body is hurting hahahaha.
