Although if you're looking for a relaxing massage this may not be for you, she's extremely skilled but not everyone can handle the pain, nonetheless you will feel amazing after getting a massage from Maya. Today I was quite stressed and knew my body needed a massage, unfortunately Maya doesn't typically work on Sundays, so today I had Lisa and she is wonderful, I think my new favorite. Not only can she do a proper Thai massage with techniques of using the sole of her foot to work out tightness in your shoulders (and very good stretching techniques), but she's also great at giving a normal and relaxing massage. The massage rooms are big, comfortable, and cold with AC, which made it even more relaxing once I stepped inside. Music was super relaxing too. Even the bathroom was spotless and fully stocked with toilet paper and paper towels. Now for the massage itself -- hands down the BEST massage I've ever had. And I've been to some big-name places before, but this completely blew them out of the water. The pressure was perfect, and I walked out feeling refreshed and ready to take on the rest of the week. The prices are super affordable too. Definitely bring cash if you can so you don't get taxed. They even offer bottled water on your way out, which was such a nice touch. I then asked my husband if he wanted to get a massage as well and what do you know - we were able to get a couples massage on the same day and same time. LOCATION This place is located in the old part of Waipahu (near the sugar mill). I was able to find it easy with my google map. I pulled up into a small parking area with much parking available. First impression - clean and loved the smell of the essential oils. SERVICE I reached out to Hazel (the owner) and she was able to give me and my husband the a couples massage. I was greeted by one of the apprentices Chalei - very warm greeting. Because it was our first time, we had to complete a questionnaire. Hazel then walked in and really loved her personality. Off the bat, we felt comfortable. MASSAGE Me and my husband were in the same room! Hazel was my masseuse and Chalei was my husbands masseuse. I didn't realize how much I needed this massage. Hazel's pressure was exactly what I needed. After I identified the area of focus she was able to relive most of the tension. Throughout the service, she kept ensuring that I was okay. Overall, I was able to get relieved from alot of the pressure that I was experiencing. I had a good night sleep and didn't wake up with a headache as I was the past couple mornings. However, what we did mind was how unprofessional the experience was. For most of our massage, the treatment room door was left wide open, leaving us feeling exposed and without privacy. It was also very unprofessional when one of the massage therapists left in the middle of my massage to answer the front door and greet another client. She then asked him if he needed to use the restroom and walked him past our room while our door was still wide open before returning to continue my massage. We both booked Thai massages, but what we received felt much more like Swedish massages. The therapists mostly just glided their hands up and down our bodies, with very little stretching or techniques typically associated with a Thai massage. Overall, the lack of privacy, constant interruptions, and the massage not matching the service we paid for made this a disappointing experience. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this place, and I won't be returning
