We worked at first with Theo, who was excellent at getting communications going with my insurance company for the job. They stripped the basement quickly and tore out everything and dried it. We had a recurrence of the plumbing issue that delayed rebuilding, but once I called back, we had them back at our place within 36 hours. It's been one day and the dry wall is already up. We've got a ways to go and hoping there's no payment issues, though we haven't had any so far, but for a really aggravating whole series of events, I have had no complaints with them.

Review for Roto-Rooter Rating: I have mixed feelings about my recent experience with Roto-Rooter. On one hand, their technicians are excellent. This was my second time in less than a year having the same sink snaked, and just like the first time, the plumber was professional, timely, neat, and successfully unclogged the drain. If you are in an emergency and need someone reliable who will get the job done right, they are definitely the way to go. However, I find it increasingly difficult to justify using them as a "go-to" service due to the lack of incentive for loyal customers. Paying full price for the same recurring issue within a single year feels steep. While the plumber did offer a $100 discount this time, that is a standard coupon amount I likely could have found elsewhere. What is more frustrating is that I've gone above and beyond to prevent this: * I purchased their proprietary maintenance cleaner (at 3x the price of standard retail cleaners) and used it exactly as instructed. * As a two-family household, we are extremely cognizant of what goes down our drains. * We previously used them for a major sewer line repair--a nearly five-figure job--less than five years ago. I would expect that level of history and investment to place us in a "high-value client" bracket with better pricing protection. The reality is that if it isn't an emergency, there are much more affordable options available for a standard drain snaking. Summary: Great quality and highly reliable, but the pricing model doesn't seem to value repeat customers or long-term loyalty. -- Jason

I told him "no" and he offered a $100 discount with a 6 month warranty. I told him to leave. The whole thing was a waste of time for a company that insisted they can't give a quote over the phone - but when they arrive, they don't even look at the sink and just give a verbal quote. Pretty sure you could have done that over the phone and avoided wasting everyone's time.

He arranged a time to visit to take measurements and prepared a quote for us. We appreciated that he gave us advice, but allowed us to be creative and and use our preferred suppliers. He came out again to our house after we determined that we wanted his company to perform the work. We fine-tuned exactly what we wanted and set up a tentative date to begin work. After we got our items, we confirmed the start date. Stephen and Michael arrived promptly on the day work was scheduled to begin and demoed the bathroom. They arrived every morning at the same time and worked a full day and I'm not sure they even took breaks. They completely cleaned up at the end of each day and sectioned off the work area to minimize the dust throughout the house. The bathroom remodel was expertly performed and came out exactly as we had envisioned. I highly recommend Katamount Construction. Alberto's pricing is reasonable and the final product is outstanding!

When his crew had a broken van, Rajay promptly called us and rescheduled the work. His men were also very professional, did an excellent job and completed the work on time. Since we live about an hour away from the rental property, Rajay sent us pictures of the ongoing/completed work periodically to keep us posted. He was readily available for consultation, whenever needed and very flexible to make some adjustments in the work. He also provided the necessary warranty. We are completely satisfied with the high level of performance, reliability, quality, and value of his service.
