This was probably the worst "salon" experience I've ever had. It was my best friend's wedding day and she wanted her hair done professionally. I've been to a dry bar before in a different location so I didn't hesitate to book with this salon. From the moment we walked in, the vibe was less than lackluster. The presumed manager asked what we were there for and I excitedly said, "it's her wedding!" The manager jumped back like I had scared her and seemed really annoyed. The manager then said that they shouldn't wash my friend's hair for her updo which I thought was weird since it's part of the package but looked past it. My wash and style was satisfactory but neither of the stylists really talked to us. They seemed rushed by their manager who kept a watchful eye on them and was correcting another employee rudely in front of us. When I asked my stylist for braids, the manager approached my stylist and said, "did she ask nicely?" Looking down at my braids. My stylist was even thrown by this and asked her to repeat herself. My stylist did her best under the pressure I feel she was under from her manager so my hair turned out okay. However, my friend's hair did not. And that's the last straw! It was her wedding day!! I had to fix her hair all day long from how haphazardly it was thrown together. Couldn't be more disappointed in this experience and definitely won't be making an appointment again. TLDR: we were treated like a nuisance to the salon and left with crappy hair. Could've done it better myself. read more

I highly recommend the Victoria Gardens location. The staff is sweet and professional. They are customer driven and always make you feel welcomed. Lo took care of me tonight and she was phenomenal. She took her time and styled my hair beautifully. She also educated me on the importance of having heat protection on my hair.... such a cute idea for last minute needs. I was so excited for my first time. I asked for a southern style blowout. VERY voluminous and requires rollers. I honestly left looking like I took a shower and brushed my hair. I was on a time crunch and couldn't let the stylist know it was NOTHING what I expected. I still tipped but $65 to look like I blow dried my own hair just doesn't sit well with me. This place is unbelievable. As my wife was getting her hair styled she noticed an employee, heavy set black haired man, place his hand in a coworker's apron an deceivingly remove money. From what I could see, the victim had no idea what was going on. He basically robbed her. That was not the only incident. She also noticed that a client left money for her stylist and he secretly took the money and placed it in his apron. This individual is extremely unprofessional. He appears to not only be a thief but is obnoxiously loud. Is this a place of business, or is it a playground. My wife will not be returning to this place and she has advised her friends to find another stylist. read more

It makes me sad to write this. I had so much hope for them. I'm a content creator and love the idea of a weekly blowout so my hair looks nice for filming. I wanted to make an appointment with Drybar, but they were totally totally booked so I tried to Supercuts instead. I had a great experience at Supercuts. My hair lasted 4 days, it would have lasted longer, but I wanted to wash it. I thought since Supercuts does such a great job, I can't wait to see what Dry Bar does since that is their specialty. I heard Dry Bar had a deal where if you buy $100 gift card you get a $20 gift card to use in January so I bought the deal 1st appointment: I was very clear that I was going on an airplane the next day and had an event. I asked if my hair would last, and they assured me it would last. I wasn't worried since the Supercuts blowout worked well. My stylist did a great job of washing my hair. The water was the right temperature and it felt really good. For some reason she insisted on using a medium hold hairspray even though I told her I need my hair to last as long as possible. Unfortunately, most of the curls were gone two hours later. I gave them a second try on Christmas Eve. They were super packed so my expectations were not high. But it was TERRIBLE! The person who had me this time did not check the temperature of the water and did not ask me about it. It was freezing cold, and she got annoyed when I told her it was too cold. The wash was painful, she pulled my hair the whole time. I told her about what happened the first time how my hair didn't last and she assured me it would this time. She was 2/3 of the way done with my hair when she realized that after she would curl my hair, the curl would fall flat, and informed me that it must be a bad curling iron. She finished the rest of my hair with a different curling iron. At this point she didn't have enough time to redo my whole head. When I walked out only about a third of my hair stayed curled! I don't understand how they think it's OK to use a tool that doesn't work well and then tell me they didn't have enough time to fix their mess and still charge me. They also recommend a $15 tip. I've spent $150, 2 $60 blow outs and 2 $15 tips. It was a complete waste of time and money! I had to redo my hair myself. I posted about it on Instagram before I went in the second time. They saw it and messaged me how I like it. I was about to respond and they deleted their message. I believe once they saw how flat my hair was on the next story. It's a very disappointing to know that they saw my terrible experience and no manager contacted me. read more

My hair went flat and curless by the time I made it to my car. even before I left, the person doing my hair noticed it wasn't holding the curl, she re-curled a couple of spots and didn't say anything more. I asked how long my hair would stay styled she had no answer. I was trying to save time before an event tonight, there goes that. I also arrived before my appt time and the two people before me had appt times for 1:30 and 2p. My appt time was for 1:30. One of the worst experiences I have ever had, and by far the most painful salon experience I've ever had. I can't believe I paid $80 for it. What a waste of money. All I wanted for my birthday was for someone else to wash and do my hair. Figured I'd treat myself and add on a scalp massage. I don't even think the stylist knew that they were doing. My "massage" was them running/combign their fingers through my knotted wet hair. It was so painful that involuntary tears were falling down my cheeks. The blowout was just as painful. I have curly hair so I am NOT tender headed what so ever. The stylist didn't dry my hair fully. 30 minutes after leaving it was a straight and frizzy mess. My husband asked if I wanted to go back to have them fix it but I literally never want to walk back in that building. It was so awful. read more

So it was my first time coming here because I wanted a blowout. When I walked in I was greeted instantly and felt very welcome. I had Marissa as my stylist and she did such a good job on my hair. I've never had a blowout and was in shock when I looked in the mirror afterwards. It looked SO GOOD! While she was working on my hair they offered mimosas, champagne, even a latte. I chose the latte. My wife wasn't satisfied unfortunately for her first time at this location. She said as soon as she walked in all the workers were all crumbled up in the reception. Had to cancel my membership. Had an appointment this past weekend for a very specific time and was called 30 min before my appointment to ask me about pushing my appointment back 15 min. I scheduled for a certain time and when I was called she said the appointment was scheduled 15 min earlier and asked if I can come in 15 min late....weird but ok? Then when I was able to call back (8 times) nobody answered. Upon arrival there were 2 stylist and 2 girls walking around...but my 8 calls were missed? Again weird. As always I waited for my turn. Usually it's about a 20 -30 min wait which is outrageous. On this special day I waited OVER AN HOUR. Thank God my stylist was amazing but its still just a blow out. I've been a member for about a year and it's gotten progressively worse. They stylist turn over, not answering phones, difficult online and app usage. Just not worth it. read more

Normally, the treatment I receive here is more often than not, good and even "great". But a couple of days ago, the receptionist, Victoria, was rude and sarcastic and the "Shop Manager" who I have seen before, was also somewhat sarcastic and invited me to go to another Drybar, while then informing me that another is available in Orange County, and a second one in Pasadena. This information was clearly another attempt at sarcasm. The receptionist had informed the shop manager that I had an issue with the technician they had assigned to me, this was absolutely not true, and she asked if I wanted to reschedule. They charge for missed appointments. Why would I do that? And that is when the rest of the incident unfolded. They rarely answer the phone if you try to call. In summary, find another way to wash and dry your hair. And I hope the wonderful technicians that do work there, find other employment. read more

Well, it was my first experience at a dry bar.It was busy. Dec 24. The lady's up front were ok. Not very friendly. We didn't know what to expect. There are only two places to sit and wait so there are people standing in the check in area. My daughter was having her senior pictures and I wanted to take her to have her hair done. We had an early appointment 8am. They washed her hair and It took about an hour and looked good after. I just do not see anything extra special about it. I felt like I was expecting more. More volume bigger curls. By the time we made it to the studio for the pictures we had to brush her hair out and fix it. I really feel like Its something I could do for her at home. I don't feel that there is anything that stood out and made me feel like I would want to go back. read more
