WARNING: Do not use Dry Clean City at 3501 W Millbrook Rd!! I took a $150 dress to be dry cleaned after 1 wear and when I arrived to pick it up, I noticed the clasp on the back had been broken. I was left with the impression that they would pay to have it fixed only to be contacted 1 week later and told to come pick it up and they were not liable for any damage caused by their dry cleaning equipment. HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED I went to DRY CLEAN CITY here in Milbrook rd Raleigh, first time to try their service to dry clean my two set of drapes with beads , because the one that we usually go, moved to other location. So I decided to try and have them dry clean it, and they charged too much as well, then as per the receipt from them it will be ready by Saturday after 3pm , I called around 2:45pm by chance it's ready, the guy sounds making fun of me on the phone said " we don't do saturday pick up! It's ready by Monday after 5pm , then I said oh well okay , I let it go maybe it's just miscommunication between them, then here's Monday , I called before I go , I called like before 5pm I asked if it's ready for pick up, and here you go again, It's not ready yet, it will be ready by Tuesday after 5pm. So I was disappointed then I have nothing to do than to wait for tuesday , then I arrived at 6:35pm yesterday , I was upset because they damaged my draped most of the beads are gone!! The lady who's there said she just receiving and releasing and the Manager works in the morning. I didn't bring the drapes home because if I brought it home they might make a story that I got it in a good condition. Today May 8th I came back around 2:35pm and spoke this girl named Joni( don't know the right spell of her name ) She was apologetic about the past days that happened, and she explained to me that Angela is just new and she supposed tell me at first those beads might damaged on the washer, in front of Angela and it's up to you if you still want us to do or not and that girl didn't say anything in front of Joni while apologizing she said she just new to the Company. So I said what time is the Manager will come she said around 3pm so I didn't go home and wait inside my car, then came out 3:18pm I asked where is Jodi? She left for the day, so I said I will just wait for your Manager to come , I will not going home, then she went inside and the Manager came out and was ready to tell in front of my face" you write a review I have nothing to do with you anymore! And he insisted that his staff explained to me initially, which she's not! he said he's been with the business for 17yrs I told him I don't care about that my concern is you damaged my drapes . I don't lie and That's why the other person aplogized! I took the drapes and left upset and the owner has no heart and ready to retaliate! By the way and that Angela said, I write you up! , she has the word to tell that to me? They are the one who wronged me. In front of her Boss , I told him why she didn't jumped in with Joni saying she just new here I apologized she supposed to tell you, and she said I didn't say anything because you have a manner??? that's why I write you up, then I said don't scared me! I think this place has changed since other have reviewed it. I brought 10 items and a dress I needed pressed and I only paid $23! That's so cheap! I drive from Chapel Hill to this location, so I can get my clothes dry cleaned. I would recommend brining a big pile of clothes because if you bring 9 items of clothing, you get the 10th one free. They get your clothes done by the next day, so I think that's worth coming here. The service is eh. I would give it 5 stars, but I am not a fan of the service. The people just take your things and your money, nothing else. I wish they would give a bit more than that. Overall, I will continue to use this place because the price is right and it's super fast! I hope they will up the customer service they provide to the people coming here. read more

Discount dry cleaners are a love-it-or-hate-it proposition, but I've had good luck with this place for about 4 years now, and I'll keep going back as long as they keep laundering my clothes well. I have only taken one or two shirts back to be re-pressed in that time, and they've been obliging. It's tough to beat $1.79 per item when some of the other local places charge upwards of $5 for a pair of pants. read more

This is my neighbor dry cleaners. Of course right across the street is another so hopefully this speaks to how great they are. I thrift and often times I find pieces that need to be dry cleaned. I've never had a problem with service or the quality of their work. I've been going there for the last year; when began going there id broken my leg pretty bad and they'd let me pull up pay and they'd put items in the car for me. Zero stars!! Worst service. Destroyed a white button up that I just bought the same day. I had turned in to get a light to medium starch and it now has grease stains on it. Other clothes I brought in were also not dry cleaned properly. Will not ever go here again and will advise others to avoid his establishment at all costs! I've been visiting this location for years, but recently I've had problem after problem. One blouse ruined and it was just placed in the middle of my order and found it when I got home. They apologized on my next visit when I mentioned it, so I kept going back. Sadly to say they have now ruined multiple garments over multiple visits with no resolution from management. Recently shredded a blouse and tried to say that it was like that when I dropped it off. Refused to give me the number to contact management and reported that management would call me. One week later and no call, so they clearly aren't interested in customer service. I will not be returning. read more

So far so good with this cleaner. They seem to be able to keep prices low by being in a low rent area as well as doing high volume. The staff has been super friendly when I've been in there and they charge 2$ for dry cleaning a shirt and 1.25$ to have a shirt laundered. They do require you to pay in advance but that is fine with me. read more

This place is horrible. I brought a dress there with a small food stain and pointed it out. They put a sticker on the stain. When I picked it up, I pointed to the stain and the guy who I think is the owner said it was too difficult to get out, but when he scraped it, it literally started coming off. He said he'd fix it and for me to pick it up the next day. I don't even think they cleaned it the first time! I just went back to pick up a skirt. I was desperate so I went there because it's open a little later than most. They put these giant safety pins in it to attach it to the hangar and now my $200 skirt has holes in it! I have tried cleaners after cleaners and its either they do a shitty job and destroy stuff or they are two expensive. This place does a fantastic job at a fantastic price! The staff knows you by name and knows your stuff and takes great care of it. They treat you so well and do an excellent job! In by 9 am out by 5 pm that's awesome if you ask me. read more

They are a very good dry cleaner. The price can't be beat. The service is very good. The quality is good. Room for improvement: I have occasional issues, like getting the starch wrong. No one in the area does 1 hour dry cleaning. The $5 per item dry cleaners in the area are no better. I don't know how they stay in business. read more

If ZERO stars was an option, I would select that! If I could choose negative stars, that would also be an option. I was a first time customer, selecting the location because it was convenient to my office. I brought in 13 dress shirts and a suit. They crammed 13 shirts into 2 bags. Every shirt was wrinkled and unwearable without being ironed. Some had what appeared to be grease stains or something else on them. I have never experienced that with any dry cleaner. I took them in to see if that was a mistake and the woman told me they only charge $1.30 (or whatever) per shirt. What type of response is that? I just wanted the shirts dry cleaned so I can wear them, I don't want to iron them after paying for the service. She then showed me another customer's shirts, with the same wrinkles. What? Then told me she could redo them, but they would look the same. Was told the owner would call this morning, no response. Stay away from here, unless you want to iron all of your shirts and rewash some of them. read more

HORRIBLE service!!!! I took a dress in to be cleaned and they ruined it! It had been dry cleaned before (elsewhere), which they asked, and when I picked up the dress the navy bottom had bled all over the cream top. They offered to clean the dress again to see if it would help and I allowed it. It was better after the redo but still ruined. If they did things correctly (which they claim) why would it bleed the second time it is dry cleaned and then get better during the redo? When I asked why it would happen the second time and not the first the girl at the front told me there is a 50/50 chance that this happens. So when I asked about the policy for a ruined garment she told me there was not one. When I asked if they can ruin people's clothing and not have to answer for it, she told me she didn't know. So this place offers you a 50/50 chance of getting your clothes returned to you in suitable condition and if not, oh well! Take your clothes and money elsewhere.
