But they promptly called me back later but by that time I was already in the store haha I can easily get ahold of the front desk though. I tried to buy a Mavic 3 Pro Cine. Called them explain that I was paying with a card of another person because I had to take to drone to production in a trip. I was told that we could do it with no problem I just had to set a name for the pick up. I decided to get there and ask my producer to buy the drone while im in the store. So we would get any issue clarified right there! 1. Getting there a was told that they had a fraud system that takes 1-2 hours to approve the purchase . ( its 2025 and it takes 2 hours with a system to figure out what is fraud or not) 2. Manager comes out and explain to me that actually takes 1 day ( its 2025 and its not 2 hours its A DAY! ) 3. I explain the situation to producer we decide to buy so we can have someone picking it up. We set up the person that was gonna pick it up and I was TOLD by the lady that first received me at the store and she CONFIRMED that it was all set they had the name of the person and purchase initiated. So she would call me once their super high tech fraud system allow the purchase. 4. 3 days later, no call so we call. ( great customer service ) 5. Purchase wasn't it approved ( thats fine ) by their system, the person who was assigned for pick up the drone and confirmed by store employee went there and they did not had her name IN AND informed us that the purchase wasn't approved. Well, if you paying 6k I will give the buyer more attention and care. Like give a call to the person, send an email anything 5 min after that we bought the drone at Walmart, purchase was approved right away its getting to us in 2 days. read more

Walked into the DJI toy store and was greeted with a smile. Excellent service, even gave me the option of how I could initiate my repair for free through DJI, although I opted to pay a small fee to have them handle sending it out for me. Aside from being out of stock of some drones (some of which are out directly through DJI also) the store was well presented and had everything you'd need. While they do have a limited selection of other manufacturers it seems, DJI is their specialty. read more

I had driven by here a few times and finally got a chance to stop in. My DJI Mini 2 had a collision with a tree and a hard fall and the gimble was broken. While not being able to repair it onsite due to not having the part, they did give me detailed instructions of how to send it back to DJI to repair. Also they were able to tell me two of my batteries had gone bad and I was able to order replacements at a very good price. I also got a new carrying case on clearance, I hated the one that came with the DJI Mini-2. I had a great experience, I would definitely go back. read more

I bought a DJI Air 2S combo that was supposed to come with an RC Pro. When I picked it up Kevin said it was the RC Pro even though the box said Smart Controller. He said because of the charging port is at the bottom it is a RC Pro. When I opened the drone, the controller was in fact a Smart Controller. It is very disappointing that your business would advertise the wrong product and mislead your customers. Especially those customers who are not familiar with DJI products. I went to the store and voiced my issues. The sales rep Nick at first couldn't even tell the difference right away. I had to point out that the antennas were not the same. We eventually came to an agreement it was a smart controller. I kept telling him why advertise something if it's the wrong product. Their website even says it comes with the RC Pro. Nick then mentioned he knew they were advertising the wrong product. I thought that was odd for sales rep to say. I saw Kevin come out of the back room and I spoke to him about the issue. He looked at the box and said it is the Smart Controller even though he's the one who told me it was an RC PRO the day I purchased it. How convenient that the truth comes out days after the purchase. I already purchased a DJI Care for the drone so I don't want to deal with the hassle of returning it. I initially put a yelp review and Drones Made Easy asked me to take it down and email the owner Brian and they will fix the issue. I spoke to Brian and he could not even compensate or get the issue resolved. Brian mentioned that his business had no intention of malice. Another thing I found odd since Nick knew their advertisement was wrong. So clearly Brian should have known. I wonder if Brian looked at his website for the DJI Air 2S deal they have. I recommend every customer that sees this review, do your own research because this shop obviously doesn't know their products and run shady tactics to sell. The shop knows what they were doing (misadvertising)and it's a bad business practice. They respond by saying I'm trying to get something free. Accusing a customer is another bad practice by the way. I literally wrote a story of how I wanted the RC Pro bundle that you advertised and got the wrong product. How is that me getting something free? I even called before the purchase and the shop said they received 5 with the RC Pro. Again, the shop devalues their customer saying they want something free (not free if you advertise the bundle) and provide misinformation. And no silly, I'm not holding you hostage because of a Yelp review. I'm just spreading information with the experience I had with the shop. Excessively told me it is a discontinued product? It was not a discontinued product on your website, on the phone and in person. Brian was the only one who told me that. It's funny how they blame the junior employee for causing the issue. I've been a customer of DME for over 5 years. For the most part I've been pretty happy with the customer service. After today, don't think I'll be a returning anytime soon. The Salesman, Kevin Gallegos, is rude and judge-mental. He even told me he would was going to charge me for asking questions about my drone, which I purchase there. Overall very disappointed. I was excited about my first trip to this unique store. Unfortunately that excitement was not met with either good service or capacity for even understanding what a customer wants or how they should be selling a product to a customer. I lost one of the vibration dampers on my Mavic 3 gimbal and was searching everywhere to get a new one. Tried going to DJI directly and looking everywhere online. DJI wanted me to send my drone in and some other shops said I needed to buy a complete new gimbal which I was not going to do. I happened to find drones made easy and called up and talking to Kevin. Extremely disappointed. I dropped off on a Saturday and they said my repair would be done Tuesday or Wednesday and they have the part on-hand would be a easy quick repair. I told them I was going on Vacation on that Friday so that would be perfect. I got the Invoice for repair on Tuesday, immediately accepted. Called today on Wednesday and they said they cant get to my drone until the next week. Even on Yelp Messaging they said I can arrange same day service and wait. Now they say its taking almost 2 weeks to even get to my drone. For a 1 hour repair they put on estimate? They cannot stand by their word. Waste of Time, gas and Money. Ill take elsewhere. Bad Service and Horrible Repair times. Don't count on their repair times they say especially if you have a deadline to meet. DJI STORE Apparently they made this store the new DJI Store. The store has ample supply of DJI drone accessories and very knowledgeable people when it comes to drone inquiries, questions, fixes, etc. the store is small and there's a back demo room. It reminds me of an Apple Store but for DJI drones. I believe this is the first DJI Store in SD. I was disappointed on their Opening Day layout. It was promoted on FB the first 100 people will get a raffle ticket to win a Spark Drone. The store was to open at 10, I arrived around 9:05am and was about 25-30 deep into the line. That hour wait was brutal... mid summer heat, no shade, no nothing. They should have wrapped the line the other side of the building where there was shade and much cooler. THEN they didn't even open the doors until 10:15am, people were kinda cracky in line because of the heat - myself included. They passed out raffle tickets in which they won't be drawing for until 12pm. By the time the entire line was in the store... it was about 80 people. So technically I could have came when they opened and still get a ticket. The highlight was the homemade mini scones they offered us once we were in the store. Then store was tiny and filled with people looking at the drones or waiting around until 12pm. Finally 12pm came around and everyone was packed into the demo room to see the new Spark. By 12:15 the raffle was called and some women that for sure wasn't waiting in the long line won. After the drawling there was more demos happening but a lot of people scattered out the door. It's nice they had BBQ chicken being served for the lunch crowd. But honestly, I didn't feel it needed to be an almost all day event. Until the next review... read more

Very reasonable price for diagnostic testing and providing a free quote to repair. They can tell you if it's worth repairing or not. My husband brought a Phantom 4 he recently bought off Facebook market place and was having trouble updating it. I was afraid he bought a lemon and that he wasn't able to fix it himself. He brought it here and they were able to work on it immediately. They spent some time on it and they were able to fix it. He was so happy with their service he came home and told me to open that app you have where you look for peoples reviews on restaurants and stores and write them a good review. Unbelievable experience, I was beyond pleased with my experience. Had an Inspire 1 that needed to be updated and had 2 controllers need to be paired and the X5 camera to be paired to drone. Today (11/09/2020) was the first time ever going to the DJI store on Napa St. I was disappointed that I couldn't go inside the store to drool over the copters (probably a good thing because of Covid). . I brought my Mavic Air to get the sensors sync'd because my computer would not let me download the supporting program. Kevin was so very helpful and he got the job done (or maybe it was the tech person). Either way Kevin was so very helpful and answered all of my questions (and I had lots). Drones Made Easy has earned my respect over the last few weeks 100%. James sold me the exact DJI setup I was looking for but unfortunately on the 2nd use at a Job the product failed. I called DME and we discussed repair/warranty and and as a consumer I WAS PREPARED for the worst and ready to pay repairs. James assured me that together we would find a solution but they must see the DJI product first which is fair enough. 10 mins later James called me back and provided a solution I was not expecting...He offered me a loaner unit until my issue was resolved. I drove back to San Diego from the Mojave Desert because James saved me a Job and weeks of headache. I came into Drones Made Easy/DJI Store with a crashed Inspire 1 (1st gen) I crashed Saturday at a shoot and I needed it ASAP for a Saturday wedding. I came to find out they're one of only six official DJI stores in the country, and offered CERTIFIED repairs, which was a big deal to me needing the repair to be done fast and right the first time. The Inspire couldn't enter travel mode or move its arms much at all. I took it in and dropped it off to Greg for repair on Monday. He was very knowledgeable and handled my equipment as if it was his own, offering a new free camera cap and to tighten the monitor mount's swivel for me while we were discussing the suspected damage. Very down to earth - I didn't feel like I could ask any "stupid" questions regarding the repair process. He gave me a ballpark quote based on the opinions of the damage he could see without taking it apart. $500ish. The repair tech was off on Monday, and was starting Tuesday. I decided to pay for priority repair and don't regret it for a second - apparently, there were about 30 other drones being worked on! I was called Tuesday afternoon personally by the repair tech Ryan that the Inspire had further damage and he explained exactly what was needed. He also offered to update my propellers to the newer quick lock/release type for a small amount, and made sure I had a few sets of the new kind of propellers to match at my request. I gave the green light to continue further and got a call Wednesday for pickup! A two day job! The new repairs included 2nd gen parts for the Inspire 1 which were the central frame unit and one full boom arm (wing), with another battery frame pin thing. I was explained he not only fixed those things, but replaced all the screws with new ones, and replaced the cables that connect to the camera "just because". He said everything was flight tested and it entered travel mode good as new! I proudly took one of their stickers for the road to rep on my drone case. They met and exceeded my expectations, which were only set by other great yelp reviews! No matter where I live I will be sending in my drone for repair to Drones Made Easy! P.S. Just a note for 1st Gen Inspire 1 owners getting a boom repair: the new Gen 2 Inspire boom arms have a different traditional carbon fiber pattern, so it won't match your old one. They not only fixed it (somehow), but they were extremely helpful and transparent with walking me through each component that needed to be repaired. Their very knowledgeable staff provided exceptional service at a fraction of what other drone shops would have charged and they even finished the laundry list of repair/replacements within 5 business days. I recently decided that I wanted to buy a drone to fly. Not knowing much about them, I set out to check out the three drone company stores in San Diego. Drones Made Easy (DME) lived up to their name. Everything was fully explained in such a way that I was able to fully understand. After checking out the other stores, I came back to buy the Phantom 4 from DME. The price was within $10.00 of the other stores but the personal service was worth far more than that. On top of that....flying lessons were offered for free. I was taken in the back to the warehouse area and we made sure my drone fully worked and that I was able to do basic maneuvers and understand the drone capabilities. When I decided to look into an OSMO, I had little doubt where I needed to go. Sure enough...My wife and I were given personal service and everything was fully explained. No questions went unanswered. Of course, we ended up buying it. The other stores either were too rushed for me or attempted to pressure sell. DME never put any pressure on us and made us feel like they were there only to educate. I have been back a number of times with questions and never made to feel as if I was bothering them. Obviously they are in the business to make money and they drained my wallet for almost $3K...with NO complaints. read more

My review is mixed for two reasons: 1. I had my Mavic Pro repaired here after a close encounter with a tall palm tree. The repair was great and cost effective (less then I thought it would be). However it took longer then I thought it should have to get the estimate of damages and I had to call in several times before I got it. Overall a very good experience. 2. I took my new Phantom 4 Pro in after a hard landing for a repair on landing gear and lower shell, i told them it had sat outside overnight in the tree and there was moisture/few on it when I retrieved it in the morning, the battery fell out when it hit the tree and got stuck so there was no power during this time. Nevertheless I sealed it in an airtight bag with rice for 24 hours then put in the sun in front of a fan for 6 hours. It started up and flew and performed perfectly when tested. However when I told them all this they said they wouldn't work on it and did not know of anyone that did. I asked to purchase the shell and landing gear and they refused to sell them to me. I thought they were an authorized dealer? Very poor service, I was forced to buy the parts on line and fix it myself for less then $100. As a result of this experience I won't ever go back there and I will share my experience with anyone who asks. read more

I stopped in there recently and the young guy behind the counter was very unenthusiastic. I was ready to purchase an Air 2 and had asked some questions about them. He certainly wasn't a sales person since I had to practically pry answers out of him. He would rather stay behind the counter than provide customer service. I stopped in later and there was another customer in the store. The customer was walking around talking on his cellphone. Again, the employee stayed behind the counter and never even acknowledged me. I was looking at the Air 2 and Air 2 S and noticed the Demo Air 2 had been submerged at some point. Screws were rusted, the camera lens was crusted over and where the battery should have been showed corroded battery contacts. It certainly did not instill confidence in me. Since the employee didn't want to spend any time with me answering questions I walked out. I won't be doing any business with them. Best Buy is down the road a few miles and the woman there answered all of my questions. I usually avoid them but this time I was really impressed with their service.
