Super. This is the place to learn to drive in Jackson Heights. Great, patient instructors.

My driving instructor, Frank Dao, is hands down the best instructor I have ever had. After going through multiple instructors at another driving school who never took the time to explain my weaknesses or how to improve, working with Frank was a game changer. He clearly explains mistakes, makes sure you understand how to correct them, and gives detailed, practical tips for everything, from mastering turns to parallel parking. Thanks to Gold Success and Frank's incredible instruction, I passed my road test, and I am truly grateful. I couldn't recommend them more!

I highly recommend Frank if you are a beginner and want a no-nonsense instructor. He is tough, but…read moreit's because he truly wants you to pass your road test. If you carefully follow and study his instructions, you will be well-prepared. I was extremely nervous throughout the process and honestly did not think I would pass but I did, all thanks to Frank (especially after failing my first road test 10 years ago). The reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because my first assigned instructor was very unprofessional and did not take the lesson seriously. At the end of the lesson, he even asked if he could call me, which felt inappropriate and left me with nothing learned. I contacted the receptionist, explained the situation, and asked to be reassigned, which is when I was paired with Frank. While I was grateful for the switch, I do feel the school should have provided me with a makeup lesson since my first one was a complete waste of time. That said, I'm very glad that with only 4 lessons, I was able to absorb enough from Frank to pass my test. I do believe that if I had been given a proper makeup lesson with him, I might have finished with fewer points deducted.

She will be there when you need her! They were able to accommodate towards my preferences and assigned me to an English speaking instructor, Jason. He was super patient, nice, and informative. He will help correct your mistakes and help you practice for the road test. Was on time with his lessons and helped me overcome my fear of driving. Not to mention, the prices are super competitive. I don't think I have seen a place offer as cheap packages as this place. They are located in on the second floor of a small stall across the Flushing Library.

They're unprofessional and extremely hard to work with. Joyce is the sole person scheduling things, and she is horrible at her job. They do not give you your 5-hour cert. They hold on to it, so you can only schedule your road test through them, and you cannot schedule it yourself. They add on months of wait time, as opposed to 1-2 months if you scheduled it yourself. I paid around 1k for 10 lessons, which turned out to actually be five 90-minute lessons. Very misleading!! I have had 2 instructors from them. The first one, Jason, was unreachable after 2 lessons, for some reason. He was okay at his job, not super motivating, but did what he needed to do. Joyce offered to switch instructors for the rest of my lessons, and oh my god. My second instructor, Johnm, was so unprofessional and mean. He NEVER gave me positive feedback, only mumbling about how horrible I was at each and every turn. He was smoking cigarettes before and after every lesson, which isn't necessarily a problem, but very unprofessional to do in front of the client and made the car smell. One time, he cut one of my lessons early cause he wanted a car wash. We got out of the car, and he lit up a cigarette as I just awkwardly watched the car go through. I could not believe this was the lesson I paid for. I did not even end up finishing my course with them, because every lesson felt like a humiliation ritual. I couldn't even get a hold of my 5 hr cert, so I started over at another driving school and passed my test on my first try with a perfect score.

Finally I PASSED the road test on the first try even though I have never driven a car before…read morelearned driving at this school. My friend recommended this school to me. She and four other her 4 friends passed on the first try too. Their instructor was Eric but my instructor was David. I'm from a country that uses UK systems. We drive on the left lane. The driver on the right side of the car. I have never driven a car in my country but I rode a bicycle and motorcycle when I was there. I was a little bit confused with the lane when I first rode the bicycle here but now I have been riding a bicycle in the summer every year for 5 years already so I wasn't confused with the lane when I was learning how to drive a car. I registered for 5 sessions and 2 road tests. It's not too short and not too long for me. I got 10 points from too slow a turn cuz the day that I took the road test it was raining and I didn't want to drive fast but I forgot to check the speed. lol David has been an instructor for 11 years. He is kind, friendly, calm, observant, encouraging and patient. He can repeat his words more than 20 times without feeling moody. :) The important thing is that he remembers my improvement. In the 4th session I drove the car not even 5 minutes. He asked me, "Did you practice with another car?" (He knows it. I thought) Right before the 4th session I rented the car and practiced with my friend and checked around the area that I have to do the road test. The difference between practicing with my friend and David is that my friend doesn't know that I did the right thing or I did not, such as before changing lanes or turning right, my friend can not tell me that I checked blind spot or checked and waited for pedestrians on the street corner but David knows.  My friend didn't observe me. I like checking around, I mean checking the mirror when I drive. I check the rearview mirror and the left mirror to see who follows and wants to pass me or the right mirror that I drive too close on the right side, I do it by automatic like I ride a motorcycle. David said "It's nice to check around" (He knows it. I thought). David makes me feel confident enough to drive with other cars cuz he always tells me what situations that I did right and what situations that I did wrong or shouldn't do. Before the 5th session me and my friends rented the car and drove to Montauk. It was the first time that I drove on the highway (I drove form exit 53 to Montauk and drove back from Montauk to Elmhurst,Queens) it was fun. The staff were very nice and helpful. They helped me to arrange my classes schedule when my instructor was out of the city. They know which day and period of time is very nice and easy to pass the road test. That's amazing.

Great place. Teen got it on first try. Affordable and very nice staff!! Highly recommendread more
