Just so you are aware, they only allow two lessons per week and are quick to take your money before clarifying anything. I got the 15-lesson package, had to wait two weeks to take the five-hour class, and then I was informed about the two lessons per week. When I told them I can't wait that long due to college, she said since I already started the package, I can't get a refund. I then asked why I was not made aware of the policy beforehand. She said I signed a paper after the five-hour class. I retorted. You said the package starts in the five-hour class. Why did you not tell me that before? Radio Silence? I talked to the manager; he started patronizing me! After a long, arduous process, I managed to procure a refund. DO NOT give them your money!!!!! Nevertheless I booked another driving school and started two days after I paid... A far cry from the three weeks paradise made me wait. read more

As stupid as this sounds. I paid 450.00 for my first set of lessons only for my instructor who was Bernard at the time to shorten my lessons every time I had my appointment with him and I wasn't reimbursed for the time lost. Then I got the instructor Dwight and the only thing he does differently is give me my lessons, but he is very forgetful of when he has an appointment with u and he isn't very attentive to taking the time out to make sure that u learn everything properly. I paid this driving school for 2 -10 lesson packages totaling $885 and had I known what I know now. I would have taken my money elsewhere. This driving school is what I expected read more

Do not spend your $ or waste your time. The office people are rude and dishonest. First they scheduled my lessons without my knowledge during times I said I would be at work. The instructor would call me at 1pm asking where I was. Then I had to delay my lessons due to covid exposure and when I tried to resume they told me it was past the 30 days allowed for lessons. I explained the situation and they said they would add me to their schedule as soon as there was an opening...it's been 3+ months. I wish zero stars was an option but the instructor was nice so the one star is for him. read more

So I purchased a package for my son he recieved 4 classes and when trying to call the office to schedule the next last class with this horrible Guy name Dwight W. He hangs and dont pick up my calls. He also told me to have my son call to schedule the appt. My son is busy and forgetful so I do all his scheduling. If I paid for the package I have every right to do so. Very unprofessional receptionist not a good 1st impression for business was giggling and answering my questions as if she was playing with someone and distracted while giving me information. Had a great experience. Very upfront and good communication. They're very busy but still I was able to get two appointments in every week which worked well for me. I did the 10 class pack and was licensed by the end of it. Teaching style was on point, down to earth, and honestly taught in a way that made me put common sense into action. if i could give zero stars i would because i took the 5 hour class and the man dwight hosting the class was driving during a thunderstorm and trying to teach a class with no presentations. on top of that i finally got upset after not being able to hear a word he's saying and told him this is unprofessional in the most calmest and nicest way i can say it and he responded with calling me foolish and telling me that i'm uneducated and i shouldn't use words i don't know what they mean. after all of that took place they kept removing me from the call because i supposedly didn't have my camera on but the whole time i was showing my face listening and actively talking throughout the call. after the class they told us to come pick up our certificate and told us call before we come and i called today and they have no certificates and told me to call back thursday and i called on monday read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. This driving school is the absolute worst and I believe they set me up to fail just so they can get money for my second test. First, my driving instructor had me pick him up and take him to get jerk chicken during my driving lessons and would come extremely late to these same lessons. Thankfully I always asked for my time back to be added to the next lessons but even then it shouldn't have been my obligation to ask. Then on the day of driving exam I found out my test was in New Rochelle when I wasn't far from the site by the driving school. When were they going to tell me my exam was in New Rochelle? I was underprepared the day of the exam and failed my first attempt. I had my parent prepare me for my next exam and scheduled it myself because you do get another try for free with DMV if you have your own vehicle! This isn't a proper driving school - it's a low budget one-man operation. I called 4 weeks in advance and the owner refused to book me an appointment without me going to his premises in the Bronx to 'sort out the details', which was an hour commute away. This was despite me even offering to pay upfront. I wasn't prepared to go, because taking a morning off work to make an appointment seemed unnecessary, so he reluctantly agreed to my appointment because I was a 'gentleman'. He offered to call me back to confirm but after not hearing from him for another 2 weeks, I had to chase him. He confirmed he was 'taking a risk' but would be there for my test and a quick refresher beforehand. On the morning of the test I roused myself from bed in the early hours and went to the driving test location. Before I left, I texted him to confirm the meeting location and the time. When I got off the subway in the Bronx I also called him and left a message. Both went unanswered. I then had to run an amazing race type morning, calling up other driving schools, cabbing around the Bronx, and desperately trying to find someone with a free car. I did eventually - I used Best Way Driving School, which was professional and kindly recommended to my by Pelham Driving School (who didn't have capacity). In hindsight, I could have called the day before to confirm the location. But I attribute my confusion to his inability to keep an appointment, even after I had to chase him repeatedly just to make it in the first place. The whole process was vague, informal and untrustworthy. Taking a morning off work to trek out to the Bronx and sit a test is hard enough, without having to deal with flaky, unprofessional business proprietors. Suggest you ignore his nice-looking website and go with one of the established driving schools referred to above. read more

Dwight gives you real life examples on how to drive and properly goes into depth on explanations of your mistakes. The driving instructor was on his phone for about 4 of my 5 lessons. He had his other worker take me to the road test about 2 hours early, so by the time I was there, my anxiety was through the roof. Needless to say, I failed wonderfully, and the only thing i gathered was that i needed to make the way i turn my steering wheel "pretty". read more

After failing my road test 3 times with 2 different driving schools. I finally decided to go with Paradise and when that inspector gave me that " P" I almost did a back flip . I recommend Paradise for their hands on, throughout and friendly approach to instructing . They teach you " HOW TO PASS" which is often times the issue with why people fail .
