Instead of conducting a thorough inspection, they took the truck to a shop across the street for a quick repair and immediately returned it to the lot for sale at the same price of $30,000. Their priority appeared to be removing the vehicle from the accident scene as quickly as possible, seemingly to prevent the incident from appearing on the vehicle's record.Even after nearly experiencing a catastrophic failure, the owner/finance manager showed no willingness to negotiate or acknowledge the seriousness of the situation(I was obviously was not Going to buy it after but I wanted to see how they would handle the situation because they acted so careless) . Their focus was on the sale, not on customer safety or transparency.If you plan to purchase a vehicle here, please ensure it is inspected by a trusted, independent mechanic. I made one final counteroffer, which he said the owner declined. I responded that we would still come the next day, and he replied, "I'll be here." At no point did he tell me that the previously discussed out-the-door price was no longer available. My son and I drove approximately three hours back to the dealership expecting to purchase the vehicle. After we arrived, we were told the owner would not honor the previously discussed price and that the dealership was sticking to the advertised price. We immediately left. The issue wasn't that my final counteroffer wasn't accepted. The issue was that we drove six hours round trip based on what we reasonably believed was an agreed-upon price, only to find out after arriving that it would not be honored. I understand that negotiations don't always end in a sale, and I don't expect every offer to be accepted. However, I do expect clear communication and respect for a customer's time. Had the dealership simply told me before I made the drive that the original offer was no longer available, I never would have made the trip. If you're traveling from out of town, I strongly recommend getting a written buyer's order or purchase agreement approved by management before making the drive. It could save you hours of driving and a great deal of frustration.

I still needed to replace the second lease vehicle and I wanted to replace it with another ACURA. I began my search to replace the second lease vehicle. I contacted several dealerships in the LA area over the next 2 months to find another well taken care of vehicle at a fair price. You would think finding any vehicle in a densely populated metropolis such as Los Angeles would be fairly easy, with a plethora of options to choose from. Not so much the case or at least not so much my luck until I expanded my search outside of LA and came across New to You Auto Sales in El Cajon CA. New to You Auto Sales not only had the vehicle (i.e. make, model, options, color, mileage, etc.) but it was also in outstanding condition and they offered it at a very fair price! I checked it out from top to bottom and it was in as good as a new vehicle condition. We made the purchase and drove back home to LA county. I have worked with the Escondido one and had a pleasant experience. I called and the Customer Service Rep, Michaela helped my save the car, and got me pre qualified. When I got to Carmax, we worked with Josiah. He was awesome; welcoming, knowledgeable and I never got the feeling that he was trying to make the most money from me. The Manager Cedric also came by and we talked for a little bit too. I can see why his employees enjoy working there. He was very helpful assisting Josiah. Both of them just gave my sister and I some very good vibes, seems like they were working for us and ensuring they find the best deal for our needs. I took the Kia soul for a test drive and loved it. Once the car arrived in El Cajon, I was notified that it was going through inspections and I'd hear from them when it's ready. When the car was ready, I scheduled an appointment. Before the appointment time, they texted me a reminder. I called to get as much of the financing done because I was 75% certain I'd purchase this car after the test drive. Arrived, checked in and went to the lot to find the car. It was just like the photos and I couldn't wait to drive it. I went in and waited. When I inquired about the time, the associate told me I didn't have an appointment and I didn't have a "hold" placed on the car. I told her I saw the car. She said the car was on hold for someone else. I tried to explain that they shipped the car to the location on my request and tried to show her my phone with the email/car photos. She told me that she's just going by what the computer said. Eventually, after waiting, she said she is going to have someone get the car for me. About 30 minutes passed, and she informed me that the car was in "service" and not available but on Monday, she will find out what's going on. I inquired why and she said that it could be a check engine light or the car didn't pass their inspection. I tried to tell her that I have an email from CarMax letting me know it passed all inspections. She refused to listen and sent me away. I got home, called CarMax and explained what happened. The associate pulled up my account with the approved loan for that specific vehicle and told me he was going to email me a link to the car and asked me to confirm that it's the right one. I did. He told me that the car was in the lot and it is the car I looked at when I was there. He said the "hold" on the car is for me. When I returned, the associate who assisted me earlier told me I showed her a screenshot of a different car and that's why it didn't match. That was very bizarre. I test drove the car and it was exactly what I hoped for and more. It was worth the month long wait and I did purchase the car. Overall, CarMax has some very nice cars, they have multiple options for financing, trades and the entire office seemed like a very nice group of professional people. They don't pressure you to buy a car (clearly, since the one associate sent me away). Highly recommend!

First off, thank goodness we requested someone else to help us because he was able to get the car to the front and it had no damage to the front unlike the other car he was trying to sell us. Since there were two of the same cars, wouldn't you want to pick the one in the better condition? And secondly, he could've asked them when the other car was ready rather. We knew we couldn't go to the back. He needs better training. Thankfully Tim swooped in to help us out. He was much more helpful. Santiago helped us with financing. He was actually great to work with. We told him exactly what we wanted and didn't want and I appreciated that he was quick to the point and made financing a smooth as possible.
