We came here today/the day after Christmas since our usual Birria truck was closed & decided to try this one after a viral post. It's located in the "PitStop Express"/Shell gas station. You place your order yourself using their Kiosk system, which is pretty self explanatory and very user-friendly. They also have a rewards/loyalty system, and you can tip using the Kiosk as well. They call your name once your order is placed. I placed the order at 5:22PM and got my food at 5:41PM so it's a little wait on the orders, but they get steady traffic/customers. Now to the food - I'll be comparing this to our usual Birria truck that we are faithful to. We ordered the Quesabirria Taco, which comes with three birria tacos. I got mine exactly how it comes (you can edit your meal/take off items, etc. using the Kiosk). 9/10, HIGHLY RECOMMEND! The tacos are on the bigger side than our usual spot (which is four, but slightly smaller) and the tacos are PACKED with flavor. It's just enough onions, cheese and cilantro to balance everything out with a ton of consome soup. The cheese is deliciously melted and everything tastes so freaking good! The only reason I gave a 9/10 is due to how long it took/the wait on the order (about 20 minutes), other than that, this business makes some bomb tacos. I was excited but skeptical of a birria....TRUCK...that's open til 4 am.... in the middle of nowhere! I became monumentally more skeptical when I saw homeboy scooping my nacho cheese directly from a can on the stove I ordered dripping nachos but they were dry as all get out! The chips tasted stale. The cheese wasn't the slightest bit spicy or nacho-ey. And though it's topped with jalapeños, onions and cilantro, there was no juice or texture added from my of the toppings. The only thing that saved this dish was the birria meat. Which had good flavor but was actually dry as hell! Which is the exact OPPOSITE of the juicy consomeness I was expecting! Overall if you want underwhelming nachos that are available all night, with friendly staff( which is why I gave 3 stars instead of 2) then this is your spot!!!! There was a lot of hype about both of these taco trucks that are right next to each other (the other one has hamburgers). I think that this is the better of the two. The meat is soft l, tender and smokey, and I particularly enjoy the nachos and the quesadilla. I didn't care for the ramen at all because it tasted like the rind of a lime that was in it, and did not have any meat inside of it even though I think it was supposed to. The tacos and the dipping cup that comes with it is good as well, but if I had to choose one I would go with the quesadilla. I also liked the loaded fries but that also is an option right next door so that's why I went with nachos the second time I came and I like those more. The prices are on the higher side, especially considering that it's a food truck, but I guess that's the norm nowadays. I wish the prices were a little lower to make it more convenient to go to but I am happy that there is a fully halal taco truck in the area. read more

Overhyped. The Birria tacos have been trending for a while and this brand is overrated. My cousin didn't enjoy her tacos at all. We went to a vegan restaurant the following day and she preferred the vegan birria tacos! Customer service was trash! We had a question about adding something to my cousin's tacos and one of the workers sitting right in front of the order window was totally ignoring her! Disappointed in my last trip to this truck. I've been here before and everything has always been good and delicious. On this trip I ordered the nachos ($7.99) and a single taco ($4.50) with shrimp (add on $1.25) which was an up charge. I ordered on the screen but when it came time to pay the lady told me to let her swipe my card.... On the screen my total said $13 and some change. I noticed my account was charged for $18, when I went to ask what the difference was the guy told me the prices on the menu in the front were not correct. Which should not be a thing, because if so charge me what you are showing. I asked for a receipt and they wouldn't give me an itemized one just what I was charged. I don't know if I will ever come back to this location because they did not handle the issue in a professional manner. We saw this place on IG and it wasn't far from where we were so we thought we'd give it a try. It was underwhelming sadly. We got the birra tacos with soup. Although the meat was super tender and crispy taco, the flavor was not strong at all. Birra is known for the strong flavors of anise, cinnamon, chipotle and etc but this had none of that. Especially with the quesadilla, for the price of it I expected it to be a bit bigger and it had no consume at all. I've been here 3 times. The first time, I went through the drive thru and got birria tacos, service was great and food was good. Would've given 5 stars off this experience alone. However, the next 2 times I came, the experience was not so good. There was a different cashier than the first time. Her name is Tadrika and she was extremely unfriendly and unhelpful. We dined inside the second time. Nobody greeted us and There was no menu on the screens so we asked for a menu and she just pointed at the blank tv screens above her. We said there's nothing there and she said "it's on the tv screen". Again the screens were off. After she realized the screens were off she pointed at the kiosk to put in our own orders in which took forever cuz we were struggling with check out. And she just stood behind us the whole time watching us struggle and didn't offer assistance. Our order was wrong when it came out so we asked for a receipt and she acted like she didn't know how to print a receipt. Our food took a very long time to come out, and the AC also was out inside. We got ramen, tacos and quesadillas. It was okay. They charge for cilantro/onions which is wild. Third time, we went through the drive thru and Tadreka didnt greet us, simply answered with "what can I get you?" I politely asked how she was doing and got the response "alright, what do you want to order?". After I paid she rudely told me to pull up and wait and closed the window. This time we got the ramen which was toooo limey. I'd give them another try but the rude customer service we've received from Tadreka has completely turned us off to this place. I had these delivered via UberEats. They weren't the hottest when they got to me but that was expected. I put them in the microwave to warm them and that was okay. I've had better birria tacos. The meat isn't well seasoned so that takes away from the experience. The sauce is cool. They melt a lot of cheese into the taco which I appreciated. They aren't the best but aren't the worst either. Food was pretty good but the service is trash. I got charged for two drinks that I couldn't get and they couldn't refund me either. I reached out to them online through email and never heard anything the guys in the food truck couldn't help either. It's outside no seating just to go set up. Stopped by today as I just came back from AZ and had some delicious birria tacos and was craving some more, this was as close as I could get. These were very good....the cosomme was good too. Wished there was some hot salsa to add and it would have been perfect. The meat was tender and juicy. Location is on the edge of a gas station parking lot. Parking would be at the station which could be pretty busy. Corner or Walter & 1960, southeast corner. Save time and order online for pickup if using a credit card....you will have to use a computer to order in person so do it ahead of time. They taste very good however I ordeee extra cheese extra cilantro extra onions all 50 cent a piece ...there's like 3 pieces of cilantro on my nachos so that's that . I came here at about 630pm to order some food and I didn't know there was a kiosk there to order. I went to the window and the guy is just staring at me blankly and asked my name. I give him my name and he says 7 minutes. I say for what? He said to order. So now I'm confused I asked if I have to wait 7 minutes for him to take my order and he is still looking at me blankly. So now I see the kiosk but I cannot order specifically what I want so I go back to the window to ask a question and a different guy is at the window and he is looking at me agreeing with what I'm saying and then he says IDK and shakes his head. I'm irritated at this point and just order what I gues I want and walk away. This place isn't a place I recommend simply because the people who work here are unable to or act like they are unable to understand their customers. I went to location off of Washington. The parking is a nightmare. The inside is well decorated but small. The staff is super sweet and friendly and I waited about a good 15-20 minutes to get my food. The drinks we delicious. Not too sweet. We got 1 pineapple lemonade, 1 strawberry lemonade and 1 strawberry horchata. I enjoyed all of the drinks. The horchata is super thick, so I would definitely recommend getting something else to help your food go down. We also ordered the loaded nachos with birria/shrimp & loaded beef fajita fries. I wasn't a fan of the birria. It was too mushy and salty for my liking. I would give it a 4/10. However I traded plates with my husband and tore those fries up. Fries were 9/10. I also ordered the cheesecake strawberry funnel cake. I think I will do with out the cheesecake next time and settle for the funnel cake with just the strawberries. Just had our first experience at this joint. We were really looking forward to trying this place and came away very disappointed. We did not get what we ordered. The original order was for 3 tacos and side consome. When we got home we ended up with quesadillas. The location on 1960 provided poor customer service and did'nt offer to make it right. Birria tacos weren't bad. It's my first time having Birria made for me. The only other times I've had Birria was when I made it myself and I think that'll be the only way I have it from now on. The flavors weren't fully there like I was expecting. My real issue was with the nachos. They had some Rico's canned nacho cheese tasting stuff on it. Movie nachos put these to shame and that's a low bar. You can't even call it cheese. The best thing there was the pickled veggies. I feel like this place was just set up because Birria is hot right now and they are out to capitalize on it. The workers just don't seem engaged and I don't think any owner was around.
