Ice cream is ( spell check ) Bassett's , some of the best in the USA and oldest in Phila ! You know…read moreits real when it's cold and this is as cold as Hilary Clinton was to Bill after his stint with Monica lol ! Its cold dammit. ! The service is 5 star, supper nice kids , owner seen on premise working hard, everyone is friendly and they come out from the counter and hand you your ice cream ( nice touch ) in fact if you stand on the side while eating your ice cream you may get handed some more lol ( just kidding) but we did try lol ! The build is nostalgic and very cozy, it is a little clumsy as far as logistics and execution because while your in line you cant see the flavors avaible because the line blocks the names on the glass. While I know the place has a certain feel not common in the larger places, it may be beneficial to at least post a chauk board list of the flavors and services so you accomplish providing information and improving the speed of the selection process. Also visible are the incredible cookies that I think they make the ice cream sandwiches out of as one of the options. If your on weight watchers , this place is worth cheating just walk there, and walk home even if you live in Phila because it worth it ! If you expect tourist type of food, summer " sell you once and done type ice cream" you will be pleasantly surprised of the quality, the feel and the overall experience ! Its worth the hunt, parking is ample and plan to be rewarded with great ice cream . I have not done the coffie and Am servace but plan on doing so , the reviews are too good to pass up !

The tables are close and unfortunately when it's packed - it can be distracting ... They also offer their own parking lot (it's small and will fill up fast) and it's BYOB. We enjoyed our meals - food arrived fresh and hot.

We decided to give this place a try despite the low reviews. We booked reservations for four on a Thursday (make reservations or wait). ENVIRONMENT: Small quaint, white tablecloth, Italian farmhouse decor. ORDERED: Arugula Pear salads, Seafood Risotto special, Salmon Livornese, Bone in Veal Chop and lots of bread (delicious bread). Tiramisu for dessert. WAIT STAFF: Very professional and knowledgeable. DRINKS: Brought our own red wine and Prosecco. WAIT TIME: Reasonable combined with good service. Okay, note sure about the low ratings (some were no shows that were charged for cancelling). QUALITY: The food was delicious. The veal chop was over the top with a delicious brown sauce. The Salmon was perfectly prepared, and the Seafood risotto was also delicious. PRICE: Somewhat on the high side, but after all you are at the beach, and they love to charge you for that luxury. Good price/value relationship. I will be back in three weeks to dine here again. It is great to have a quality meal experience near OCNJ. That is a rare occasion other than breakfast in a town with many mediocre dining experiences.

Offered specials from memory. The food was good, the dip tray had homemade chips. My only complaint was the menu offered tacos or $40 seafood dishes. I will say this is one of the first places that I think actually took into account the reviews (good and bad) and actually improved upon them. This place used to be Clancy's and is now somewhat of a Mexican fusion restaurant with awesome drinks and amazing food. When I went last year, there were so many things that were missing the mark- the music (they were playing 96.9 lite rock), the food (barely edible) and drinks (too much sour mix). I went here the past two weekends and was legit blown away with the improvements. So amazingly good. We spoke with some of the employees who told us that they got a new chef - he was definitely 100% worth the money. It used to be that Sofias was the only place you could get a fresh grilled Branzino. This blew Sofias out of the park. Amazing drinks, amazing service, awesome food, great music... 10/10! Loved it. **It's def a darker atmosphere so make sure you watch where you step. Has a really cute outdoor area too which I'm sure will be great in the summer.
