I knew fleet feet had a great supply and the ability to measure mama's sore feet. So, mama is a five time cancer survivor and warrior. Unfortunately she had a large mass on her toe which prevented her from being able to walk without a boot, which after months leads to body pain throughout. Her poor foot and ankle always hurt, and swelled up real bad. She had pain throughout her body from the imbalance and reliance on crutches. I didn't think we could find a pair of hokas that would fit, and even better actually heal her feet. Then we came in and met Dan, the kindest most knowledgeable specialist we could have hoped for. He was patient and supportive at every step, through mama's laser measurements- which are amazing and they email them to you if requested. Then he began the work, we tried 4 great recommendations but alas none fit, all too tight around the ankle. But Dan wasn't done, he looked at the measurements and put in an order for a men's size in extra wide trusting it would fit- and if they didn't we could exchange within 30days. Four days later, my mom put on her first pair of shoes that fit in over a year. Im in tears of thanksgiving. To see her walking in a new pair of hokas, with proper balance and arch support. She's so excited and we are forever grateful. Also, they didn't try to sell me the most expensive pair, they had an awesome shoe that was less than what I expected! But over the last 4 years they have gone terribly downhill. As a seller there are massive associated fees now which didn't exist before ~10% more than listed on my last cashout. In addition to this they changed onboarding software twice in the last 4 years. The staff has always been aloof, which they could afford to be when they were the only game in town. However now they also treat you like you are going to steal something from the moment you walk in. The vibe is horrible and the shoes are overpriced from the buyer side. Luckily there are other shops willing to work with resellers in a more favorable fashion. If it weren't for the international market for luxury goods that now exists outside the US, I don't think FC would survive.

For example, for Air Max Day last year they held an event for the winners of the Nike AM 1/97 SW raffle at their old location across the street. They had free Air Max Day shirts, games, free popcorn, and refreshments in the back where you can talk and get to know your fellow sneaker heads. These shoes spoke to me as a vintage lover and the leather used is incredibly soft. The worker was very nice and polite and I tried on 4 pairs before deciding on which pair I wanted to opt for. He mentioned how these shoes are often used in Hollywood TV/movies for both vintage period pieces as well as modern media. He also mentioned that their shoes are often purchased by dancers for their ease of use and comfort and I got them for their comfort so I can absolutely see someone dancing the night away in these!
