I'm writing this review because I had a fantastic experience at Cool Kicks on Melrose. John was knowledgeable and made the whole process easy. He even came to the door to help carry boxes out of my car. The security guard at the front was also incredibly helpful, giving me advice about parking and making things easier. Mina was warm and welcoming at checkout with a big smile and a genuinely pleasant attitude. All three made me feel comfortable and genuinely valued. Reselling used to feel like something I'd dread, but their team's smooth coordination made the experience so much easier. I'd absolutely consider going back and doing resale again. He's 11 and sees all of their social media content. So he really felt like he was somewhere dope! My husband and I were even making a big deal about it when we went in, to match our son's energy. The employees didn't even acknowledge us. Some were on their phones. My husband had to engage with them first and let them know how excited our son was to be in there. They have a strict no return policy so they'll sell you fakes, once you find out the items are fake and confront them, they will accuse you of "swapping the shoes out" They've been doing this to many customers throughout the years. I had a incident where a employee switched a pair of yeezy 700 wave runners. I have multiple witnesses to this incident that came in with me when this occurred. Not only did they switch the shoes out, They were a pair that was inauthentic. At first glance the employee seemed rushed to make a "purchase" at the shoes but they took the shoes out of sight and completely swapped them then "passed on them". I am speaking out on this matter because it's not right and at first I thought I couldn't voice my opinion on the matter. It has been years since this incident and I haven't returned since. They sold me an RTFKT Dunk as New for the same price it would be on StockX with fees and shipping. Their listing stated "New" Soleidity did not disclose the shoe was missing accessories, shoe clips and Vials. The same shoe with similar defects and missing accessories is listed way cheaper. Definitely would never shop here again. I bought my boyfriend a pair of brand new Jordans for Christmas and made it clear to the staff that I would be gifting these. I asked about the possibility he doesn't like them, if we would be able to come in and exchange the shoes for the same value. I have been into CoolKicks about 3 or 4 times now and I am so impressed by the level of customer service and just genuine good vibes from everyone on their staff. The layout of the store is great because you can find everything super easily based on size and if you are looking for new or pre-owned. I originally went in to sell some of my own pre-owned Jordan Mids (which aren't in high demand) and even though they weren't really willing to offer me too much for the pairs I brought in, they were super cool and helped me find some stuff on the pre-owned wall that were super reasonable priced. I had been checking the TRACKING that COOLKICKS sent for about 10 days after my purchases and the tracking kept showing since Dec 2nd, package on its way. As this is x-mass gift for my son, nothing has changed on the tracking page since Dec 2nd, where it still says "package on its way".. As a reasonable person, I emailed them on their website on Dec 11th for help regarding my purchase. NO RESPONSE As a reasonable person, I emailed them on their website on Dec 13th for help regarding my purchase. NO RESPONSE As a reasonable person, I emailed them on their website on Dec 15th for help regarding my purchase. NO RESPONSE As a reasonable person, I emailed them on their website on Dec 17th for help regarding my purchase. NO RESPONSE Sent a note on Instagram on 12/16 and on whatnot 12/15 and 12/16 just asking for help to understand what was going on with the order. NO RESPONSE Called the number they have on the website 6 times, rings 8 or 9 times and hangs up on you. FAKE # 323-746-5622 I gave the the order number on each email, each text and communication I have sent asking for help on the order. I completely understand it gets busy at times and that stuff happens, I expected to hear back with at least an email, a call or something. Horrible. If you're selling shoes and see "Jay" at the counter, walk away. Right off the bat, really bad customer service. As soon as I walk in, the employees are messing around and throwing a basketball, almost hitting others. It wasn't until I was waiting in line to sell my shoes that the ball came and hit me. I did not get an apology nor even acknowledgment. This is a place to work, not a hangout playground. Not even gonna deal with going to the store after seeing these other reviews about how they do business. Have had these shoes for no longer than a month and they're basically coming apart after only wearing them on weekends and I even got them oversized 11.5 to my 11 size foot. This shouldn't happen to these shoes even if I did wear them daily as i've had many other Jordan 4s and this never happened possibly fake or used shoes I wouldn't recommend shopping here at all. Took a quick getaway trip to LA for the weekend and visited Coolkicksla. I don't know why they have so many negative reviews, but the employees were not rude at all. They answered our questions and looked for the sizes we asked. Ultimately they didn't have any shoes that we wanted in our sizes so we did not make a purchase. Their selection is large but sizing is limited. We found this to be true at all shoe stores like Coolkicksla so it was a little disappointing. Don't let the "bad" reviews deter you and check them out. They may have your size. Overall it was an interesting experience, especially since we have seen their YouTube videos. read more
