my favorite second hand store in LA amazing staff and unique clothes I've gotten many compliments of my outfits from here, they are also great value I've sold my clothes here before and made over $500

If there's one thing that I love, it's finding designer clothes and shoes at a discounted price. I wandered into this place while I was waiting for my to go order next door. I've driven by this place multiple times, and I finally have the chance to see what's inside. Many racks to choose from. Plenty of different styles and prices to choose from as well. The designer names that I found in this shop were to die for. The quality of the clothes, shoes, and bags/purses were good. There's a dressing room, but not to many. The customer service could use some improvement though. Rude and snobby girl at the checkout counter. Plenty of shared parking in the back or street parking is also available.

Great concept, well managed by friendly women, racks and racks of gently used clothing, shoes, bags, etc. Prices are fair. Worth a visit!

Nice clothes, good service. Not many things in my size (medium, 8-10). Lots of cute things in smaller sizes.

Trove is a wonderful resale and consignment store. They have a huge selection of gently used items…read more You can get designer or name brand clothing, all sorts of accessories, purses, shoes, things for your home and they even have a baby section. Their prices are quite reasonable. Many items are up to 80% off what you would pay for great clothes and bags. They also have some nice art now and again it is all fairly priced. This is not a Salvation Army type store, yes, all items are used, but all are designer or something you may have seen in a store. They do not have a huge vintage section and that is fine. It has just really nice things that I would end up paying a lot more for new. The service is great. The staff is nice and knows what is in the store and where. If you are looking for a nice bag, they have it or some nice clothes. I have bought a few things there and I have never been disappointed.

Last summer, I went to Trove and bought the cutest red leather jacket. I also found Gucci sandals…read more The problem was there was only sandal. They took my phone number and said they would call when they found the match. I gave them my number and about a week later, they called and had found the match. I returned and bought it. Yesterday, we went there and bought a few things. Super cute stuff and fun to shop. My daughter found new Stan Smith Adidas. They couldn't sell them because they lost the key to unlock the block thing that the alarm goes off if cut. Again, I gave my number and today, they called and found the key. Went back and got the adidas.

This was a great thrift store for specific Western, lo-Cal vibes. With a sprinkle of military garb…read more I thought the holdings were pretty sparse. They did have great, authentic silver and turquoise. Service was unenthusiastic.

Raggedy Threads is my favorite vintage store in L.A. - no contest. Don't let this tiny little store…read more- located in a tiny little corner of Little Tokyo - fool you: It's like a treasure trove of rare finds. I've been on a huge vintage kick lately, so this store has been my go-to source for old tees. My reasons for going vintage are primarily environmental since the carbon footprint and resources needed to make new clothes are substantial - and incredibly wasteful when there's so much awesome used clothing out there. Another reason: Your friends can't copy your style. Most recently, I picked up a few tees from the 1970s and 80s. Being in L.A. they get a lot of local and California vintage shirts with logos, designs, and jokes that only true Californians would get. I couldn't resist buying a Castroville "Giant Artichoke" tee they had over the summer. Personally, I tend to gravitate towards regional finds like these because they bring back such great memories of my youth and of family road trips up and down my home state. They also carry old college (Go Bears!), high school, and everyone's favorite - summer camp tees. Plus, you cannot beat the vintage fit from the 70s/80s. Caveat: Today's "S" is equivalent to an "M" or bigger because people were presumably thinner back then. So do your part for the environment and look effortlessly stylish doing it by shopping used and vintage! And there's no better place in L.A. for this than Raggedy Threads.
