I've never had my hair professionally colored, nor have I been to an American based salon before. Groupon: My groupon consisted of color and cut. When I entered the store, the girl who was going to be working on my hair informed me that if I wanted a balayage that it would cost $30 extra, and for the length of my hair, another $20 (on Groupon they constantly advertise balayage, but there is no mention of the extra costs there). My friend who bought the same groupon said she was not charged extra, which is why I decided to give it a try, but low and behold. You know what, that's fine, I've already bought the groupon and was already sitting down. Experience: I asked for a trim of my long hair and a balayage. Trim: I asked for a basic trim, or about 1 inch off. I assume, easy enough. I'm not asking for something really bizarre? She literally only cuts the TOP portion of my hair and straight cut the rest. It's extremely choppy, jagged, and straight up looks like I asked my 10 year old cousin to do it for me. I didn't even realize it was this bad until I saw it today, which is why I decided to write a review. You might ask, why didn't I notice this in the salon or before? You sit facing AWAY from any mirrors at the salon, which is strange to begin with. I hated the haircut from the beginning and thought it was really bad, but I didn't know how bad it was until my mom pointed it out recently. See below for pictures. Balayage: not great, not terrible. I barely see the new color, but it's very similar to what I previously had. During the time the girl was dying my hair, she asked the owner many questions as to how to correctly balayage, what's the correct technique, how to put foil on, etc. she did not seem like she completely knew what she was doing and this should've been my sign. Sadly, my hair was curled at the end so even when looking in the mirror, it was hard to tell there was any issues. This entire experience makes me wary to try any new places again. Especially anything off of groupon.

I can not recommend the eyelash extensions done by Helen. I had to pay someone else to have most of…read morethem removed because they were painful, and I had to have the few that were left removed by hand by me. She glued the clusters (which she assured me she did NOT use, when I contacted her prior to the appointment) to the skin of my lid and the base of my eyelashes, so that when my natural lashes grew, the heavier, thicker extensions twisted painfully and pulled on my natural lashes. This is poor quality work. Volume lashes can be achieved without using the type of lash clusters that she used. She also put scotch tape on the skin under my eyes instead of the usual pads, citing that it was "easier to work with", which, when removed, felt exactly as you'd expect scotch tape on the sensitive skin of your under eye area to feel. The glue she used stung intensely. The table and office were shabby, although I would've overlooked this if my experience was otherwise positive. I have had extensions twice by other people and never had issues like these. The aesthetician I went to, to have the painful lashes removed and to possible fill in the BALD SPOTS where the previous lashes had left gaps, was appalled at the state of my eyelash area. She said it was not done correctly. Perhaps additional professional training or retraining will solve some of these issues in workmanship, despite having "more than 10 years experience", the quality was poor

I had made an appointment months before my wedding day to have my hair and make up professionally…read moredone. My 20 yr old daughter and I went for our trial a couple of weeks before the big day. I showed the makeup and hair "artists" several specific pictures of what I had in mind - simple, understated glow. I face ended up looking very garish, dead, and at least ten years older. My hair was stiff and crunchy with so much hairspray and bad 80's style. I was so incredibly disappointed that I teared up as I looked in the mirror. I let the owner know that I wasn't happy with the results and she offered to have another artist do it again - I declined her offer. She offered no even partial refund after I had paid $100 deposit just to retain her and an additional $45 for my daughter's trial (which was not good either). Now it is too late to get anyone else to do the job as it is the busy wedding/graduation season. Thank goodness it was just a trial - I would have died had it been the wedding day:(

Seeing my results, their day of logistics, set up. and my 10 bridesmaids' different hair and makeup with Formal faces on my wedding day was a DREAM The quality for the hair stays for the entire day and so does the makeup. That was one thing I was looking for when searching people's pictures is what does the bride and bridesmaid look like by the end of the day/wedding/ party etc - does the makeup still glam or stay on my face, is the hair still curly by the end of the night or is the hair still in the up do. I can confidently say my hair was perfect and so was my makeup throughout the entire day. The girls are so nice and professional. I had 10 bridesmaids and some live for the makeup and hair and some are post D1 soccer players who love a good natural look, and they can pull off both! They give you a little pouch at the end so you can touch up your makeup with exactly that was used on your face. No other wedding I have been in has done this and my friends could all say the same. There truly just isn't a better company to choose to make your day be your special day. My lead hair and makeup artist was Emily and she was amazing!!!
