My son has been going to this school for more than 2 years now and through the years, we have seen the care and concern that the teachers and staff have for the students. The teachers can be strict; but that's because this is a school and they are trying to instill discipline to an appropriate degree (I do not have any comment about the one with the pin.).
Education / Learning perspective: My son learned a lot in math, reading, writing, Korean, storytelling
Socializing: The school provides for a good environment for the kids to play, share, and learn from each other. With recesses given at the same time for certain classes, students get to expand their circle of friends from these play times.
Morals: The school, staff, and faculty are BIG on respect and upholding principles and values. Teachers will even come up with programs to help kids learn how to share, respect each other, help each other, etc through rewards system.
This is a small school and everyone is trying their best to make the place a safe and secure environment, esp for the kids. Given the size of the school and the funding it gets, the processes can be manual and may need improvement. In the past year, the school did experience unfortunate events; but which school is perfect that they never had an event or incident. The most important thing is that the school and the administration is doing something about it - that is why there is the fence now. Lessons are learned and actions are being executed but you can't expect major change to occur overnight.
This is a really good school with well-intent teachers (Again, no comment about the teacher with the pin because I don't know her.); way better than the other Montessori schools even.
Concurrently, I am not in any way related to this school except that I have a child who loves going to this school and engaging with his teachers and classmates. read more
