Dreamland Amusement Valley Stream, Long Island fireman carnival was fun. It was very organized, more than one booth to buy tickets, rides for all ages and the food was good. Can't wait to go back next year.

BEWARE: they allow children to ride on broken rides. A ride broke on my children and it WAS NOT the first time it happened that day.

On May 11, as the facility was closing, we were being hurriedly rushed out. Needing an emergency drink of water, I briefly wetted my hands at the water fountain because we were in a hurry. A female worker immediately lost her temper and began screaming at me in front of everyone, calling us 'disgusting,' 'animals,' and 'horrible.' I was standing with a group of Jewish kids, and it was entirely clear from her tone, targeted hostility, and use of the phrase 'you guys' that her verbal abuse carried deeply offensive, anti-Semitic undertones. There is absolutely no excuse for a staff member to scream at customers, let alone use highly derogatory and discriminatory language toward children. This worker was toxic, disrespectful, and created a hostile environment. Management needs to immediately review their closing-time camera footage, identify this employee, and take immediate disciplinary action. My family and friends do not feel safe or welcome here under that current staff member."

We easily made a second reservation while checking in (they said it was highly recommended since they get busy). We started with Deep Space which was pretty neat. We went through three different rooms doing each task. The buttons in the third room didn't really work and my husband was getting frustrated. However, we had a high score and got the good ending (passed). I definitely got Portal feels out of this room and thought it was pretty cool hearing a sound alike to GLaDOS. There was also a Space Odyssey reference, too. For fellow nerds, this was probably the highlight to the room. Whether done on purpose or not with the Portal feel. After, we did Tomb. Based on reviews, we assumed this was the best room in the building. My husband and I agreed that Deep Space was the best. However, Tomb was cool and felt like The Mummy ride at Universal Studios. We had an issue with the last task but for some reason, passed. Made no sense, we couldn't get it to work, so I think the staff pushed us along. We didn't get a good score on that room but still passed and it was fun. Note that this is NOT an escape room. You have about 35 minutes or less to go through three rooms. They're very simple and more like a walk through ride. The quality of the rooms are pretty good, theatrically. Unfortunately, with some buttons not working, I had to knock it down a star. Also, be prepared for fire alarms to sound off. We were about to go in our first room and the alarms went off and managed to continue for over 30 minutes. Thankfully the staff were still accommodating and didn't rush us through the rooms to get the next people on. Overall, this is something fun to do but I honestly don't believe it's worth almost $100 to do two rooms (with the second being half off). I'm thankful we got a gift card because I would have buyers remorse if I spent that much). Side note: you can easily do these rooms with two people. 4 people max, anymore and it's just too many people in the rooms.

Most of the rides are pretty short, including the roller coasters. It is a nice place to visit at least once. The ticket prices are fairly reasonable. My friends and I took the bus from Port Authority. It was about 1.5 to 2 hours from the city to Upstate NY. The park was very clean and well managed. The workers were friendly and attentive to visitors. One of my favorite parts was seeing the Lego architecture and landscape throughout the park. It's amazing what you can build with Lego! I definitely would love to come back and visit again.

We went for 2 days and the first warning sign was at the driving school where they no longer give out paper card licenses to the children. Small thing, no big deal. but it was noted. Then we go to the coast guard academy to drive the boats and I was told that I couldn't drive my own boat b/c they prefer to keep people in groups to keep the line moving. Every paying customer should have the right to have the full experience of a ride. That shouldn't even be a conversation. And to add insult to injury, that day was gray and rainy and there were literally 20 people behind us. The dragon rollercoaster was broken for over 3 hours. Then when it was up and running, they didn't allow you to wait for the first car (something all theme parks always allow) The ninja kitchen ninja kiosk had a broken computer and they couldn't take orders. The app doesn't work unless you refresh it constantly. It tells you that "wait times are not available" and / or that you can only view live wait times when "you are at lego land". Even though you're there. This makes it nearly impossible to plan your day accordingly. But the worst part, and the reason I'm ultimately writing this review is the waterpark. They only allow you to go in for 20 minutes otherwise you have to book ahead and pay per person for a total of 50 minutes. Scam, but ok. I tried to book the water park on July 30 for July 31 - but it didn't allow me to. So at 7:30am on July 31, I went to book the waterpark for 1pm ideally but only 3pm was available. More eye rolls, but ok. The final straw is when we show up to finally have our 50 minutes of glory - we were told that they closed it and didn't know when or if it would re-open that day and that was the final straw. Add another $40 per day to park as well. Never. Again.

We arrived at 10:30, which I would recommend based on crowds. My 4 and 5 year old had a good time, though I'd say this spot is optimal for slightly older and above. There were just a handful of activities they really couldn't do. That being said, I saw a bunch of toddlers who were also having a blast. The namesake slide was closed all morning, which was a bummer, but I'm also not sure my kids would have actually done it. The trampolines, acrobatic swing bar, and multi-level play structure were their favorites. I agree that some people working here were more happy to be there. The waiver is long. Try to do it ahead of time.

We used a Groupon and had no issues redeeming when visiting on a Friday morning. We were instructed to complete the waivers at the kiosks near the entrance. We did have to purchase the mandatory socks which was $18 for three (3) pairs. Before proceeding to the play areas, we put our things in the little cubes they have for storage...i.e. shoes, bags, etc. Keep in mind these are open cubes which anyone can access. I never felt unsafe in leaving our things there...but as always, there is a risk. It was not very crowded on a Friday morning at around 10:30am (they open at 10) so it was a pleasure navigating the space with minimal crowds. There are lots of areas to enjoy for both adults and children. The main area has trampolines as well as some interactive areas where you jump to tap buttons and two video screens where you mimic the movements on screen...both area great. There are a few obstacle courses: ninja, balance beam, and swing pit. The basketball area is also great with a cushioned surface, two hoops, and targets where you can throw balls at. There are two huge slides in the center which are fun. Finally, there a "rock climbing" area with a few different climbing options. You must have the "climb" option added to your pass in order to use it though. You will be belayed during the climb. Be mindful that the gripped socks provided do NOT offer the best grip while climbing in my opinion...climbing was much more difficult that I experience in traditional rock climbing places that provide rock climbing shoes...then again, maybe it is just me. There is a food area which sells some snacks: soft drinks, chips, candy. There are also a few tables nearby where you can eat. Overall we had a great time here...the space was very clean and well-maintained. All staff we encountered were very nice. Be sure to check ahead if visiting with toddlers as there are some restrictions on which areas they are able to visit.

It is the perfect place to bring kids. The amount of activities all in one place is quite remarkable. There's the Nickelodeon theme park, DreamWorks water park, Sesame Place, Legoland, mini golf, laser tag, an arcade, an aquarium, and much more. Everything is indoors and connected, so it's super easy to get from one place to the next. There is even a bridge to the MetLife stadium next door. In addition to the more interactive attractions, there are tons of food options and regular mall stores. There is a connected parking garage and parking rates are extremely reasonable. We were there for about 5 hours and paid $6.40. It's very easy to get around with a stroller, but there isn't a ton to do for kids under 1, I'd say. The Nickelodeon theme park did have a play space with blocks and places to climb for young ones, but all the rides, including the trains, required kids to be 3 feet and up in height. You can easily spend a whole day here. Each attraction has a separate fee so things can add up quickly, but it's a great place for endless entertainment.

It's a great fun-plex for families offering an amusement park, water park, ninja adventure park, aquarium, Lego land, multiple mini-golf experiences, a SNOW HILL to ski or snowboard or tube down (even has a play in the snow option for littles), and an ice rink that transitions to a court for other activities. The met life stadium is right across the road along with a hotel super close. That all being said they struggle with quality. They made the halls look beautiful the array of options immense but unfortunately quality is slipping through the cracks. Still an epic experience but starting to go down a smidge in comparison to previous years. The food options need help and the easily accessible food court with typical fast food was overrun there was not enough seating and no way for cleaning crew to keep up so expect a dirty table if you choose the third floor cafeteria. The restaurants were ok but overpriced immensely considering what you get. Is it worth visiting? Absolutely. It's a fun experience walking the halls seeing the art and everything they offer. Would I go there regularly? Absolutely not. For reference a family of four attempting to go to the water park on a weekend should expect roughly $100 a person just to get in. Almost every place we went the beginning price for a family of four was minimum $100. I'd use that as the gauge to budget and plan. Their website sucks and lagged endlessly and glitched multiple times which made it hard to research so I ended up just googling each activity along with the location to get to the right pages. Plan a whole day and know you won't see it all in a day, they will be adding a movie theater and I believe go carts soon!
