FOOD Giant Tots $9.36 - 15 giant pieces of flavorful tots. Pizza Puff $5.20 - Tasty deep fried pizza puff, comes with marinara dipping sauce (which I didn't use b/c the sauce in the pizza puff is perfect). Pizza 10" $10.40 - The bartender can tell you the toppings in stock. We got the sausage and pepperoni one and it was better than expected, thin crust. Corn Dawgz $10.40 - Big bowl of corn dog bites. The breading is more bread than corn. Egg Rollz $9.36 - 3 Flavors to choose from: buffalo chicken (sold out), hamburger, or crab Rangoon. We got the hamburger, which came in 6 pieces and were pretty good. Wings (12) $15.60 - Small and dry, but the flavor was good. Glendale Lakes Banquets - Big banquet hall at Glendale Lakes

    Glendale Lakes Banquets

Great staff, great food, great venue! I just had my wedding at Glendale Lakes Golf Club this last…read moreweekend. I booked them a mere 10 weeks prior to my wedding and their event coordinator was very accommodating. We had about 30 guests attend and the Grill Room and attached dining area was just the right size for us. Since we were a smaller group as far as weddings go, many other local venues didn't want our business or didn't want to give us a Saturday date. Glendale Lakes, however, not only gave us Saturday - they gave us fantastic service as well. We held the ceremony in the Grill Room, then moved everyone to the dining area (separated by a wall from the ceremony room), while the DJ and dance floor people set up in the ceremony room. Once everything was set up, the wall between the two rooms was removed and it became one large room. The transition was seamless and did not detract from dinner. The rooms were beautiful (no hideous casino carpet here) and reasonably priced. We had considered similar venues that were 2 or 3 times the cost and decided we'd rather pocket the cash and save by having our wedding here instead! The mantle over the fireplace in the Grill Room was breathtaking once decorated with flowers and candles. It made a gorgeous backdrop to the photos of my groom and I seeing each other for the first time that evening. If you're considering having your wedding here, visit the rooms when they are set up for a wedding - they "show" so much better when they are decorated. The dinner food was AMAZING. I usually hate wedding food and grab some takeout afterwards, but this place delivered! We offered our guests the filet (steak), garlic chicken, and salmon. We heard rave reviews on all 3 dishes, and I personally ate as much garlic chicken as my corseted dress would allow me to pack in! They have a patio area out back that was just gorgeous for photos. We were there during sunset, and the sky was lit up pink and blue behind us in many of our pictures. Just a few things were disappointing: The venue has a few party rooms, and the one next to us was LOUD. My dinner was accompanied by blaring music leaking through the wall. They could use better soundproofing between their rooms. During my dad's toast, all some of us could hear was the polka beat from next door. Glendale Lakes gets points for trying to quiet the other party down a bit during our dinner, but they weren't successful. And my other complaint is that they only served the chocolate part of my cake! During the cake cutting, my husband and I cut a chunk out of the vanilla center, but in the kitchen they only cut up and served the chocolate part. When I complained, they apologized and told us they didn't know there were different flavors. That's a hard sell with me - my husband and I had already cut a chunk out of the middle layer, revealing the vanilla inside. How do they miss that? I specifically ordered a two-flavor cake to cater to people who prefer one flavor or another, so I was disappointed to see chocolate getting served exclusively. Overall, Glendale Lakes is great for small groups (and for big groups, too, by the looks of the party next door to ours). My wedding was beautiful and I'm thrilled they came through for us.

Each time the guests were impressed with the food. This particular review will reflect on the most recent event we held here, our 4 year old daughter's birthday. The staff was amazing. Nancy the banquet coordinator was very attentive and helpful through out the entire process. She had designated two helpers which were on point for the entire event. One girl's name was Haley and unfortunately I did not get the other girls name. They were there from the very beginning to help us decorate the room. They stayed close by throughout the duration of the party and helped clean up at the end. The food was delicious. They have a rule that they only are able to keep the buffet food out for two hours to ensure quality. I requested it be served at 11:30 but not all of our guests had arrived yet, so they took the initiative to delay serving it until more people had arrived. Fantastic. When it was being served it was hot and delicious. We chose the Salad, Salisbury steak, chicken dumplings, mac and cheese, buttery corn nibblets, dinner rolls and apple crumb cake to be served. I also had two guests that needed to eat gluten free due to food allergies and (with prior notification) the chef had accommodated them wonderfully. The girls also came around frequently offering refills on pepsi products, juices, or water. Lunch was a hit. Unfortunately they did not allow us to box up the remainder buffet food to send home with the guests as it is against their policy. Perhaps, in future they can draft up a waiver that allows the guests to take the food but not hold the hall responsible in case someone gets sick. The atmosphere in the big hall (i believe it's called the fonte room) is much more pleasing than the smaller hall. The smaller one is long and narrow and completely carpeted. It lacks natural light but, does have a very charming faux fire place and mantle which serves as a great photo opt spot. The bigger hall is beautifully lit with natural light and has a beautiful damask wallpaper design on one wall. It's also half carpet and half wood which serves as a great dance floor. Another great party at a great venue. On top of having great prices we even got a discount for being returning customers. Thanks Glendale Lakes!

The dining area offers tables and booths with many tv screens to watch sports and news. They are very friendly, service with a smile and aim to please everyone. They offer daily drink and meal specials at a decent price. We tried the fish dinners which come with fries, hush puppies and a little coleslaw. I really liked that the condiments were individually packaged both ketchup and tartar sauce. The food entrees came out piping hot and were plated nicely. French fries, both beer batter and breaded fish weren't a bit greasy and no oil was on the plate. The hush puppies were a nice touch lightly seasoned. The cole slaw had a unique touch with pineapple in it. It sounds weird but it was a nice accompaniment to the rest of the plate and tasted good. I wish I could give the fish a better score as it was delicious but I felt the portion of 3 thin finger type pieces could have been better. Even short staffed they apologized and did their best to check in on the tables. Service: 5 Menu: 4 Food: 4

Unfortunately, my second visit for the Super Bowl was disappointing. At halftime, the volume on all TVs was turned down, except for one that wasn't even showing the game. Because of this, I chose to leave and won't be returning. I hope management reflects on creating a more inclusive environment for everyone.

I've been to several banquet halls in the suburbs and this has to be up there in terms of class and service. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The main hall was big, modern-looking, clean, and stylish. Even the outside of the venue had beautiful garden to sit down, have a drink, and a conversation. Great landscape in the summer. As a guest, the plate for the evening was already pre-determined by the hosts. That night we were served a broccoli soup, garden salad, and some bread, It's the usual you get but it was very good. The main dish was prime rib with horseradish sauce, buttery mashed potatoes, and some vegetables. I was very impressed with the cook and taste of the prime rib. Sometimes banquet halls serve a decent tasting, small cut of prime rib. But the prime rib here was cooked to perfection, well seasoned, soft as butter, and huge. However, the best surprise was the horseradish sauce. The sauce was not too over-powering yet it provided a cool compliment to the prime rib that made it the best tasting horseradish sauce I've ever had. Food overall was superb! In short, for an 18th birthday/graduation it was quite the elegant experience that must have been very special for the celebrant!

DOUBLE BOGEY Not…read moreeven rain could stop our foursome from enjoying a round of 9 holes at this golf club in Bartlett. For the annual "EKGs for EGK" charity event, I joined Nichole C and a couple friends for a shotgun scramble on 9/29/19. Bartlett Hills Golf Club is located just off of Route 59 & Bartlett Road in Bartlett, IL. Bartlett? BARTLETT!! It had rained heavily the previous day, so the course was soaked but our spirits weren't dampened. The sandpits became small ponds, and the small ponds turned into large lakes. Soggy greens screwed up my short game something fierce. The fairways were pretty f*cked up and many were unplayable in certain areas. Shout out to the woman with the salty language who drove the beverage cart (you da real MVP!) They had a decent selection of craft beer in cans for $5, plus the usual domestic swill, some nice imports, and even White Claw for those who hit off of the ladies' tee. The halfway house looked like it could benefit from a fresh coat of paint and other touch-ups. Course itself was of moderate difficulty, nothing too crazy. We only played half a round on the front 9, so I can't comment on the back 9 holes. Bartlett Hills is definitely more a low-key country club than challenging like Cog Hill. Afterwards, we adjourned to the banquet hall area where our group enjoyed a hot buffet, raffle, and silent auction. Food was more than decent: burgers, brats, baked beans, macaroni salad, coleslaw, and desserts. Staff were on-the-ball (golf pun for the win!) and they took great care of us throughout the event. * TL;DR * You know what they say: a bad day of golf is still better than a good day at work. Well, I've had some pretty awesome days at the office......and some damn lousy days on the links. Despite the fact that the rain really affected play (puddles would literally swallow our ball), we tried to make the best of it. I'm really glad we attended the event hosted by Tracy K -- both my fiancée and I walked away with sweet raffle prizes! In fact, our whole table cleaned up nicely with more than half of us taking something home. I'd be more than happy to come back next year, albeit in more favorable weather conditions. ((For those still not 100% sure where Bartlett Hills Golf Club is, I'm guessing it's located in Bartlett County within The United States of Bartlett. That's just a guess, though))
