From the beginning I knew I had made a great choice to have help with my big day.  I had a florist cancel on me three months before my wedding, I panicked but Krysti and Nicole jumped into action.  The same day that I informed them of the cancellation, they had a list of florists picked out for me to talk with and had already called with inquiry's to advise me who would best jive with my particular sense of style. It was wonderful! I had no idea how much planning goes into family photos, but they made sure to help me map out eveything before hand so eveything ran smoothly from our first look to the many family photos.   They were there the day of and I began to call them my wedding fairy godmothers.  They handled everything I needed, even the little details I forgot.  I needed baby's breath, and they ran out to get it.  They even helped figure out where to do our first photo op (and there were so many at my outdoor venue Starved Rock) which is now one of my favorite pictures! She suggested so many fun things...like a s'mores bar for dessert where guests assembled and "cooked" their own! Right away we knew she was the right fit for us. She took the time to get to know us before we contracted, so both sides knew what they were getting into. We picked the Full Planning Package, and that allowed us to occasionally get distracted by buying a house and major job changes without worrying that we were losing track of our wedding checklist and timetable. We met frequently and every time I came away feeling more and more prepared for the day. She brought things up I wouldn't have even considered, she helped give advice but never pushed. On the day of the wedding I didn't have to think about anything but what was happening in the moment. A truly precious gift. Kristen and her assistant really went above and beyond. The day truly felt like us. Thank you Kristen for being a rock for us throughout everything!! If you aren't sure if a planner is in your budget, let me tell you that NOT having Kristen would have been a disaster and we couldn't afford to NOT have her brilliant mind and kind soul working for that one beautiful day. Bob that hasn't already been said?…read more We were looking for an officiant, originally we were thinking to JOP it but upon seeing it we both quickly changed out minds and were in a bit of a quandary as to who and where to go. Well thanks to Yelp and a review a couple weeks back I found this place and Rev. Bob. He was very helpful and made sure we were able to have the ceremony we wanted and offered guidance throughout the whole process. His communication with us was perfect, he kept things on track and made it easy for us. He had several vows and wedding band exchanges for us to look at and pick from or customize. It was so easy and not too formal because if you know us... we're not that formal nor did we want a large wedding to begin with. Before the ceremony he made us all feel relaxed by telling a few little jokes, speaking with out families as friends and easily making things feel comfortable for us. The ceremony itself was exactly what we wanted, simple and sweet, non religious (he does offer several options for religious ceremonies as well) and most important, he made us feel like nothing could go wrong. I'd highly HIGHLY recommend Hearts & Hands Wedding Officiants and Rev. Robert Guntorius for anyone's special day.

From the beginning we felt incredibly comfortable with Rev Bob and knew he was just a kind man wanting nothing but the best for each couple. He really enjoys getting to know you as a couple and what your story is and how he can incorporate important details of your life in your ceremony. The company provides each couple with a book of ceremonies where you can pick and choose whatever you like, you can even change up sentences--the sky is the limit. After we had our selections picked, Rev Bob added information about us to make our ceremony even more unique. He is such a genuine man and accepts every religion, culture, etc. We have gotten so many compliments on our ceremony and how great he was! I wish we could get married every year so we could work with him time and time again!!
