Turned out - having Brooke around really helped us with staying on track, planning and the overall timing of everything we needed to do. Everyone at Tying the Knot is very helpful and knowledgeable. I never felt like I was bothering them with any of my 1001 questions I may have had (or more). Getting married and all of the planning is a really big deal and it takes a lot of planning that most people don't have the time for. Before the wedding, they were open and quick to answer any questions we had, including vendor recommendations and tipping quandaries. Unfortunately, Audra was ill and unable to attend the rehearsal/wedding, but Jena was able to step up and provide 5 star service nonetheless. At the rehearsal, she coordinated with the venue to ensure everything was set up appropriately. On the wedding day, when the weather prevented us from having our first look at our scheduled outdoor location, Jena contacted all of our vendors to let them know of the updated location. She helped our photographer coordinate family photos and wrangle family members, provided setup/cleanup at the venue, and did a whole lot more behind the scenes that I wasn't even aware of-because isn't that the point of having a wedding coordinator? She made copies of our marriage license, readings, schedule, contracts, and contacts. She handled taking all the wedding sundries (the bathroom baskets, programs, signage) to the venue. She collected our marriage license, gratuity for all the vendors, and even offered to personally check us into our hotel so we don't have to think about it--all things we would have had to do ourselves or delegate. This company should not be in this business at all, unless you are ready to do 90 -95%% of the work yourself. Very irresponsible. You do everything. She or her team will appear may be an hour before the event and run around showing off as if they are managing everything. They barely got in touch with vendors and if they did it was at last minute and that too not with everyone. One of the vendors when we told him about who our coordinator is actually told us not to rely on her as she does everything last minute. Wish we took that vendor seriously. From our Sangeet arrangements to the day of baraat, they reached may be an hour before the event. The venue event manager did everything. Baraat day they never got in touch with the venue ahead of religious ceremony to see where bride is going to be waiting (the photographer reached with bride before them an hour early and figured out with people there) or the parking is open or not where the baraat will start. They had no clue. They just appear like rainbows and run around. The day of reception they did some work after much pursuing. They helped with gifts and labeling of a few dishes. Again did not check the seating, my husband checked and found that a couple of tables required extra chairs. JD and her team left early and we did final wind up. Please feel free to message if you have questions. These are few examples of their irresponsible, and no accountability, behavior. We would have been better off hiring two high school kids and explaining them what we need and paying them. If we were not on top off everything our event would have been a disaster. Amy did not even blink or make me feel totally insane which is a quality every bride should look for in a wedding planner. Amy responded to every midnight email, every pacific coast phone call and never made us feel like we were alone. Before Amy we were getting quoted 2-3x the costs, and for brides who hate to negotiate she was a God send.
