When the time came around, I reached out to them immediately and was thrilled they were available for my wedding weekend! I was in contact with Swetal. We exchanged a few emails and then set up a call to go over details. I had a few ideas, but wasn't quite sure what else I wanted and Swetal was gracious to walk through and explain things that I hadn't even thought about. Leading up the wedding, we had one more call to go over last minute details and that was it!! She knew exactly what I wanted and was kind enough to point out certain elements I had forgotten about. On my wedding day, the decor honestly could not have been anymore perfect. They were punctual, the decor looked INCREDIBLE and everything was exactly like we had discussed. We were so happy with them and are so grateful for all their hard work and effort they put into these weddings, especially after a rough pandemic year. Swetal and her team are so easy to work with, very transparent with pricing/looks, and honestly just so easy to chat with! I think we talked about just normal life stuff more than the decor aspect of things because I trusted them completely to execute what we had discussed and they did! Cannot recommend them enough and hope to have them back for any of my future events!

We received numerous compliments on our wedding decor, and I would definitely recommend working with this team!

She seamlessly coordinated every aspect, from the venue selection and decor to the catering and entertainment. Her recommendations were spot-on, and her organizational skills ensured everything ran smoothly on the day of the event. The 100th anniversary dinner itself was nothing short of spectacular! Again, they did not disappoint. Cindy's attention to detail is remarkable. She recommended the venue and took the reigns. From the flowers, decor and layout it was perfect. We had mini individual cast iron skillets with fresh chocolate chip cookies and guests could top them with ice cream. Everyone raved about it and EE did it all...I just showed up and enjoyed it. Everyone went above and beyond to make our day special and prevent us from stressing about a single thing. When we arrived, I needed some dirt stains taken out of my dress before joining cocktail hour. Molly wasted no time getting us a drink and a tray of delicious hors d'oeuvres while she used club soda and a rag to get the stains out as best she could (and it really worked!). The coordinators communicated flawlessly with our vendors to make sure everything went according to plan. Our guests had a wonderful evening as well. We received compliments on the food and bar service and the beautiful venue. I planned my wedding myself without hiring a coordinator and I have no regrets. The venue coordinator, Molly, helped me with so much throughout the process. She was so organized, always responded to my endless emails quickly, and she paid attention to every detail. I cannot thank her enough for helping my dream wedding a reality! She was even able to bring in one of our favorite local beers from Solemn Oath which was very special for us!

About five weeks out from the big day, I desperately began to search for a day-of coordinator that…read morewould be within our already stretched budget and able to take care of the final logistics the month before the wedding when I was starting a new job. Enter Amy, who saved my sanity and ensured that I didn't have to worry about any logistics the weekend of our wedding. We spoke on the phone for about an hour and talked through my vision for our wedding. Right away, I knew I wanted to hire her because her services would be invaluable! Throughout the whole process, she was very organized and detail-oriented, thinking of things that even my type-A personality hadn't thought of. Even though I hired her after the final walkthrough with my venue, she went ahead and did another one to ensure she was prepared for the big day. When our bakery dissolved three days into my job, she took the time to research and contact other bakeries before my work day had even ended. I was relieved to say the least! She took care of contacting all vendors and sharing the final logistics with them so that every vendor was well-informed and on the same page. The biggest stressor in planning was the day-of timeline, which she created based on answers to questions she asked me. She was very patient and made adjustments based on new information from various vendors. Planning a wedding is stressful, but Amy took on so much in the final month before the wedding that I didn't have to stress out about many of the things other brides worry about. She was super responsive in responding to emails and often offered to talk over the phone about more complicated logistics. She coached us through some difficult situations that arose that would have caused additional stress but didn't because of her solution-oriented approach. After the wedding was over, I missed phone calls with Amy because I started to feel like we were friends, and she genuinely cared about me and my husband. I finally met Amy in person a few hours before our rehearsal when we dropped off tons of DIY things at our venue. She stayed, sorted them, and even started to set things up that afternoon. She met us at our rehearsal dinner venue with a personalized schedule for all important people taking part in our wedding. She thoroughly ran through the rehearsal and ensured that everyone knew when and where they were supposed to be the following day. We misplaced something, and she was even in contact me later on in the evening, which put my mind at ease. The day of the wedding, she was absolutely phenomenal! She stopped at the venue to look for the misplaced groom's gift before arriving at the hotel and helped ensure everything was running smoothly with hair/makeup, the florist, and the photog/videographer. She then left to go to the venue to start setting up all of the DIY details - of which there were many. I know that without her and her assistant, Lauren, I would have been super stressed thinking about everything getting set up in time. We wrote individual letters to guests that they were able to set out in the short 45 minute flipping of the room. Throughout the entire evening, she checked in on us to make sure things were happening as we envisioned them. Family and friends raved about how amazing she was! After the wedding, she stayed after and organized everything, so we just had to pick up a few things on Monday morning. We can't thank Amy enough for helping us execute the wedding of our dreams!

I do not say this lightly, Rupal is such an amazing coordinator…read more She truly does go above and beyond for her clients. I have had the privilege to work with her for a wedding in ATL and she handled every hurdle with grace and maturity. Wedding planning is extremely time consuming and difficult, ESPECIALLY dealing with south Asian weddings. Indian weddings in general last about 5 days. Meaning more days/events to plan, a large guest party and of course the opinions of every aunty and uncle attending. That's not even taking into consideration every demand from the bride and groom. Although this specific wedding party was difficult to work with, immature, and at times ungrateful for her hard work, she still did everything she could think of to make the couple happy because she knew this day was about them. Her personality is such that most all of her brides form a trusting relationship with her and depend on her completely with the best day of their lives. Working with her on that specific wedding, I encountered certain comments from the wedding party that made me want to quit and I was only present for the actual event! I can't imagine the entire wedding planning process with some of these clients. With that opinion in mind, I watched her run around until everyone was pleased and in the end, the bride and groom's personas changed dramatically and they thanked her profusely for her dedication to them. I feel as though most of the complaints she receives from clients are due to factors that are out of her hands. STILL she tries to help. I have witnessed her do tasks she wasn't paid for, getting almost no sleep the night before a wedding because something went wrong with decoration and she individually placed every tablecloth, flower arrangement, drive around town to pick up XYZ. I have seen her at her wits end, I have seen her cool as a cucumber, I have seen her through it all. She is amazing. You won't know until till you work with her, but believe me she is worth it.

STAY AWAY!!!! Trust me, you will want to stay away from Rupal who is the owner of Malenia Events…read more She was absolutely the worst thing that could have happened to us when we planned our wedding. 7 Weeks before our wedding was to take place, she said not to worry at all that we did not choose a decor vendor! She did almost NOTHING! Her contracts states she will do a lot but oh my god she what we experienced was total laziness. We also caught her in verbal lies saying she did things long earlier when she actually never did. She talks a big game but does not deliver at all! Because we never got what we needed from her, which was planning...we got caught doing almost all of the work ourselves. For example, she told us she was going to give us "Inspiration Pictures" for our wedding. You know what it was....it was 2-4 small pics on a piece of paper! All she did was keep talking about these inspiration photos which would help us to decide decor and she showed us something so lame that a 15 year old could do way better! She is definitely not a good wedding planner in my opinion. She was rude on the phone with us, refused to do the work that was her responsbility so we ended up spending long days and nights drafting long emails to her about what exactly we wanted in our wedding. We sent complete pictures and design and all sorts of things. She offered ZERO unique ideas for our wedding and all of the ideas she did suggest were tacky and not with any level of class. We never saw eye to eye and she wrongfully said that we had a tight budget (which we corrected her numerous times) so she never communicated properly with our vendors. And it shows how foolish she is because we had our wedding at the top 2 most expensive places in Milwaukee. Our wedding was in the six figures so its clear she was completely clueless. When we told her we were unhappy with her services, she got mad at us and was very rude on the phone. She said she would help us find someone else to use and when we said we would fire her and get someone else she got mad and apparently started bad-mouthing us to all vendors in Chicago. When we asked for a refund she refused and threatened that she should charge us more! Every vendor we lined up said they barely ever heard from Rupal so she did virtually nothing. We were left scrambling to find a new wedding planner to take over and because we were so close to the wedding date we had to do 90% of the work all because we mistakingly chose to hire Rupal and Malenia Events. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT CALL RUPAL! She's the absolute WORST!
