I don't have a regular nail salon that I visit at the moment in my life so I'm going around to try out different ones. This place wasn't too busy when I came because it was midday on a Wednesday... so that was nice. I was greeted right away when I walked in which was nice. The ladies working here were friendly, chatty, and really let you talk about yourself here and let you just rant. I got mani gel with french tip and reg pedi done with polish. It came up to $65 which wasn't too bad but the quality of work...is very BAD. I'm just going to be direct and say my nails and toes were done poorly. I'm the type of person to not complain and make them to redo it too because #1 I feel like it's not a considerate thing to do and #2 if the lady did terrible job on me then it tells me she wasn't any better on anyone previous. So what happened was my right big toe cuticle was cut...twice. I still feel it now and it has been a day ago. It stings really bad. My nails were supposed to be gel but somehow it chipped off?? Very weird for a nail to be gel...gel usually lasts long in my previous experience elsewhere. I just wish the tech would take more time to pay attention to detail to increase quality work and also be more careful in future when working on customers so she won't cut them. She didn't apologize either and went on about it as if she didn't cut me...it was kinda weird. I felt it and was surprised but...she didn't say anything. My toe polish was very poorly painted on too and my cuticles in general still looked dry and terrible right after I left. Sigh...lesson learned. In summary, they're very nice and friendly here. The prices aren't too bad but the quality is definitely done very poorly. Probably won't be back but I know everyone has different experiences and hope they up their quality work here. read more

Rarely do I walk into a nail salon and find myself impressed with the professionalism and treatment to the client. The owner has been here for 20 years and very much knows how to treat clients. I just moved to KC and found my new nail salon! I got a pedicure by Ashley. Reasonably priced ($35) and she did a great job. I always get french polish and not everyone is great at it, but she is & I'm really happy with how the tips turned out. She massaged my legs for close to 10 minutes and was really great at it! Ashley and Holly are fun, sweet and down to earth, great conversation and a relaxing atmosphere. 5 stars read more

BEWARE!! - Please Read Before Choosing this Nail Establishment!! I work in corp America and have been getting gel nails since way back when. I saw this place, decided to stop because my time was limited. I could see the place wasn't crowded at all, the time of day may or may not have contributed to that, in hindsight that may have been a clue TO RUN. The picture speaks for itself. This is what my nails look like immediately after getting a NEW $50 gel set - take a good look at my cuticles. I posted a second close up photo so you all could get a nice peek at the second grade nail polish attempt on my nails as well. I know your eyes are probably still fixated on my cuticles (after getting a fresh set of gel nails), I can relate! The nail tech didn't touch them. I spoke with a lady there by the name of Holly and I expressed to her how horrible my cuticles look and that it takes away from the new nail set as whole. She told me that a manicure is EXTRA and that when a person gets a new set of nails they do not touch the cuticle what-so-ever. Tell me where in the HELL do nail salons practice this type of substandard work?? In previous times when I've gotten new nail sets, nail feelings etc. each and every time the nail tech cleans up my cuticle area so that the nail can lay correctly and the finished product is just seamless. Needless to say I will NEVER patronize this business again - honestly I shouldn't have paid but demanded that they correct the mistake. Again folks - PLEASE BEWAREl! This is NOT a nail establishment you want to frequent if you want quality professional nail care services. Word of advice to Not So "Dream Nails" you all need to hire an entire new staff of qualified Nailists. I think anything would be an ENORMOUS improvement over what you have currently staffed. SMMH!! Also, I saw another patrons nails and although they were short they looked really nice, that being said maybe they're service is ethnicity / color based. More like a nightmare. Having gone to Cosmetology school I know how things are supposed to go and bring things up when missed. However, I dont have the time in the world to explain all that went wrong here. I didnt even let the lady finish the service. I was appalled and disgusted with the way my nails looked. I always get Pink and White sets which are not cheap by any means but I like them and I'm willing to pay the price. Not only were these CRAZY thick, they were bumpy, filed crooked on the tips, the pink was not even close to straight, the shaping was supposed to be square but was different on every nail, she glued my skin to my nails and tore open my fingers when pulling them away to file, she cut me with the drill and they were a BREEZE to take off. Thankfully, but if I pay $50 - $60 for nails they better stay on!! When I stopped the service the lady still wanted to charge me $50 but the outcome was hideous! After I expressed to her that I was not even close to happy with my nails she wanted to take the price to $40. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Am I the only one who thinks that is INSANE? The lady that did my nails did a horrible job my nails were too long And she didn't fix him when I asked and her hand touch my nail and ruin the nail polish and she refused to fix it she also didn't cut my cuticles or my hang nails and made me pay before she even did my nails as a black woman I believe that is racial profiling because the white woman that was in front of me didn't pay until she was walking out. I had a good experience here. No problem getting a last minute appointment for a basic pedicure. Holly was chatty, fun, and friendly. Best foot rub ever for any pedicure I've had. Everything was clean, orderly. Both ladies were friendly and welcoming. Reasonable price for pedi ($28); I'm never sure what to tip; technician seemed disappointed with 15%. I went to this place because they had a 4.4 review on Google. Made an appointment. The lady was on time, very nice but didn't talk much and my service was rushed. Polished and applied a new acrylic set of nails thick, sloppy, bumpy, and uneven by Ashley. Worst than another unhappy customer's picture here on Yelp. My cuticles were not cleaned, very dry, and the polish heavily applied with visible brush strokes. I didn't ask for it to be redone because I felt if they couldn't get it right the first time with no conviction they probably just can't do nails. I've been coming here for over 5 years and I only let Holly touch my nails. Sometimes they have the habit of overbooking and don't always start you at the time of your appointment but other than that I'm happy with the services. Pedicures are decent but the polish always chips on my feet so I go somewhere else for pedicures. All the staff is nice and pleasant. read more

I really do like dream nails, they are super nice people, and I have always had Hali (sp?) she is great, friendly and professional! I had Molly for the first time, and she cut my left toenails too short, to the point that it hurt, (it really did hurt!) and I told her it was too short, and it hurt. She did not say anything, no apology or communication at all. She then cut the nails on my right foot longer, and actually,... just right for me. But She never asked me how I would like the length before she started. (She also did not speak to me, or look at me after I told her she cut me too close, she seemed put off and looked at the tv, and did NOT speak to me again, after being very friendly when I came in) And now...the nails on my left and right foot do not match. I actually had to leave the salon with my right and left foot completely different from each other! After I got home and really got to look at my feet I decided to write a review, which, I rarely rarely do. I am going to try to upload a picture that I have taken of my very different feet! I soooooo wish I didn't feel compelled to write this review. I am accustomed to writing reviews for very positive reasons. I have been wanting to get my nails done for some time now and live very near this salon. Today I walked in and was immediately greeted by Mongly (aka Molly). I explained I have a problem chewing my nails and saw the "full set" price of $29. She was responsive and said she could help me. Mongly spoke to me and answered questions about her history and background. Very heartwarming experience up until I asked how much for fills and how often I should come in. She said fills were $32 which is more than the full set price of $29. I then asked what this set would cost and she quoted $42. So, long story made short, Gel service is more expensive but I was not given a choice and/or education about the differences. Sad this establishment would lose a potential customer over $13 but it's about customer service. Never going back. Trust broken! read more

The staff was great, but I was very disappointed in the gel over acrylic, which was not at all shiny, even after I went back immediately and the tech put on another coat of something on my nails. Gels are always very shiny for weeks! Not these--they were not smooth and looked old immediately. I didn't like the fact that after the pedicure you walked barefoot across the floor and that the tech tore used paper towels between my toes instead of the standard toe separators when she prepared to polish. Just seemed like they didn't have the best product and didn't want to spend money on the little things. Sad. Was in a bind and hoped I'd return, but the work was shoddy and not worth the money. read more
