I really enjoyed the salon. After going to a couple other places over the years, I tried Bella and was very pleased. I liked that they provided a menu and with a small upgrade I was able to get several really nice services added on, including a paraffin treatment. Other salons I've been to have surprised me, or my friend with an up charge in the past (stating we had a lot of callouses or some other reason but not discussing it first) but Bella was true to their pricing, and the staff was courteous and friendly. My cousin and I booked an appointment here for my birthday. Unfortunately during my pedicure I was cut which resulted in my toe bleeding. Although the manicurist was very nice she did not know what she was doing and it was obvious. My nails are cut uneven, I got the exfoliation pedicure and my heels weren't even properly exfoliated, and the polish job looks poorly done. I wasn't even offered compensation for being cut. I had to ASK what would be done about it because after I was cut the manicurist had to get someone to help. Clearly since my toe was bleeding every other part of the pedicure HURT. I checked into Yelp and showed three employees the coupon and I was told "we don't do that anymore. The coupon expired in 2019" when it clearly shows it is not expired. WILL. NOT. BE. I'm sad bc I liked the work of the nail tech Kelly but the over pricing for services change with each visit when I get the same thing.. 1. I came in 30 minutes early to get my old acrylic soaked off for having the same nails on for 4-5 appointments. My real nails were curling underneath, so I asked to for a new set.. she was annoyed but I told her I came early to not interfere with her next appointment. Also I bought that to the scheduler's attention when I called to make the appointment. 2. She didn't soak them off but instead used another nail to slide underneath and rip off. I advised I was in pain, she said "no, no this quicker." I felt she wanted to prove that they could have stayed on. I was charged $10.00 when the soak service is $5.00 ..and she wouldn't soak them off, for the pain, that should have been free! 3. I get a little longer than normal acrylic nails..they are not Cardi B, Saweetie long, they are short compared to them but this time they want to charge me double for the same length I had before! Also, they don't like acrylic here, they want Dip, short nails only. In my opinion Dip takes too long and they need a paid soak off each time. She asked me "how long??" I said right there and she calls her manager over, they talk in their language and the manager smiles and walk off. I lm thinking they knew they were gonna charge me more but she should have gave me the option with that new high ass price before doing the work. She didn't say anything. I was charged $10, when I was charged $5 00 last time for the same length. I'm a very sweet, mild mannered, caring person but I personally feel like they wanted to price me out so I wouldn't come back. The extra fees are killing this place. I understand paying for the work but they are ripping people off. I brought $100 bill ready to pay $83.00 (- services with added fees I already budgeted previously) with a $20.00 tip but they over charged me so much.. $98.00 that I only had $2.00 left in cash. I chose Bella Nails based off of Yelp and Google reviews. Unfortunately I don't think they lived up to the hype. I didn't want to take my chances as a walk-in so I made an appointment via their website. That process was simple and easy to complete. When I arrived I walked in the door to silence. No one said a single word to me. I waited a couple minutes and still nothing, I happened to glance back at the door and there was a "check in station." I entered my information and it dinged similar to a doorbell and still nothing. So I sat down to wait. About a minute later another customer walked in and was greeted warmly. A second or so later a girl came rushing out from the back apologized and asked the other customer what she was there for. After that she checked in with me and I was taken to a pedicure chair. I asked for just a basic Pedi and my only complaint there was that I realized the tech didn't cover the edge of the nail, which leaves the stark white line of the freshly cut nail. I can live with that. Following that I had a gel manicure. It was mostly fine, but the tech definitely missed several spots and didn't have the nails completely covered. Then as other people have commented, they will take credit card for payment but not for tip and they do not warn you about this ahead of time. They have a "convenient" ATM right by the register that charges $2.00 for a withdrawal. I didn't want to not leave a tip so I was forced to pay the convenience fee. I don't mind tipping in cash, but would like to know before going in that that's their practice. I made 5 appointments for 4 pm for a friends birthday and it wasn't until around 4:45 before they even got started on me. And that's because I started voicing my opinion about how late it was and that not one employee was even acknowledging us by letting us know how sorry they were, or to pick out our colors or to go to hell! Nothing! But they got me started a few minutes later and another of the party leaving a client that was there before us in the middle of her pedicure! I will say that Gita who did my gel mani pedi did a good job. And the owner was fast with doing the others acrylics but that's all she's good at! No apologies, no discount, nothing. She was sure quick to get paid though! If you have hours to hang out then you'll be fine coming here. Because many people came in after us and were waiting for around an hour or so. We will not be back. I can't believe this place is still in business! How do you take appointments for so many people and only have a staff of 4!! Oh and to top it off the prices are ridiculous! Do not believe the prices they have online! It cost me $160 for the gel mani pedi and a set of plain colored acrylics. And that was before tip! read more

They must pay for reviews there is no way their reviews are as high as they are. Their employees are rude, unprofessional and their salon is dirty. Chairs are super uncomfortable and it doesn't seem to make a difference if you make an appointment or not. There were 15+ people in there when we arrived at 2:50. Our appointments were at 3pm and only 4 employees working. We kept getting moved from chair to chair. They didn't start my soak off for my dip powder removal until 3:15p and didn't even try to start on my daughters' manicures until 3:20 and they close at 4pm they tried to remove my dip before allowing it to soak long enough. They tried to paint my oldest daughters nails without even attempting to clean them first. We finally said no and just left to go elsewhere. We normally go to BeLoved and they are BEYOND PHENOMENAL, however they couldn't get us in today and are closed on Mondays. Lesson learned. The only thing I give them is the fact they didn't charge us for the dip removal and they apologized, I have never had a nail tech apologize ever. So that is saying something. I've tried giving this salon multiple chances but today was the last straw that left me in tears and walking out. We made an appointment today for two pedicures. We were seated quickly (not the usual) and our feet put in (at best) lukewarm water. No jet/bubbles, salts/etc, just a bowl of water. 45 minutes later, one of my companions finally pulls her feet out of the water because it is freezing. 15 minutes later a tech finally comes over, nothing has been said to us since sitting down an hour ago (par for the course). My friend asks for some warmer water as she can no longer put her feet in. The woman fiddles around and begins to go to the back only to have another technician yell at her. Though this exchange was done in a different language the message was clear, don't get any water, begin the $50 pedicure. Simultaneously, a woman (who later identified herself as the manager)brought out a giant bucket of hot water for another customer and added it to her bath. Again, nothing is said to my friend, her request for water ignored and the technician begins removing her nail polish and prepping her toes. She then tries to put my friend's foot back in to the cold water, at which point she asks again for warm water, this time getting a response: no. No explanation. Just: no. I chimed in that she can't possibly have a pedicure with cold water, why can't she get hot water? The nail tech who yelled at her earlier offers up they're out of hot water. How does one run out of hot water? And if you are "out"," why did another woman just get a nice steamy bucket of water? I took my feet out of my (now cold) water and asked for a towel, explaining that I wouldn't be getting a pedicure with cold water and neither would my friend. The technician who liked to yell, didn't look up from what she was doing, but handed me a towel. I slipped my shoes on and walked toward the woman who answers the phone and asked her who the manager or owner was. She replied that it was her. I explained that it was unacceptable to not have hot water for a pedicure and that we should have been advised of this when we arrived, not after waiting over an hour. She said, sorry, and kind of shrugged her shoulders. I said, sorry isn't good enough, we've been here multiple times and definitely will never be back. As I mentioned, we've had other problems at this salon, but for some reason keep thinking it'll be better. Those problems include: *being left sitting in water for over 45 minutes with no explanation (with appointments made) *being charged for a more expensive pedicure than selected off their menu *horrible paint job and told to come back tomorrow to have it fixed In summation, remember that you work hard for your money, if you're not getting the service you should, there are many other options that will work hard for your business. read more

Only the owner is allowed to do acrylic so she can make all the money then she will make everyone sit there & wait for her to them which takes at least 40 minutes but will tell you 5 minutes then when she's almost done she'll start someone else so theyre forced to stay. so since she rushes through things the nails end up breaking. so i go back to get it fixed then since she's so money hungry she says "only i can fix them if you come back in 2 hours when i'm not busy" mind you it's just a fix any other place would do it rigyt then & there. so i ask to wait she says no come back in two hours knowing thats. not realistic i leave & end up going someone else to fix them where i have to b charged but they did fix her awful work immediately. While getting my toes done by this older lady she told me "you need to do your own pedicure" which is extremely rude. Every time I go to a nail salon I always just get my toes painted and a trim if needed. I suffer from ingrown toenails. She was hurting my foot by digging her tools into my toes. This was my second visit and I was less impressed this time. Currently, staff is masked but like another review mentioned, counter areas and chairs don't seem to be well cleaned. My nail tech was friendly and cordial, but the job done was sub par. The last thing I want to do is to ask for blemishes to be fixed. I'm not a super picky person, but I'd like my nails to look better than they do when I do them myself. The lotion used, as well as the towels are incredibly highly scented and gave me a headache. There were an uncanny number of cameras in the place and an awkward food show on that showcased a lot of food that didn't look super appetizing. Yesterday was my first visit to Bella Nails and I was mostly impressed. I've been on the search for a salon. While I don't get my nails done often, my luck in visiting other salons has been hit or miss. So far Bella Nails is one I would return to! I was able to make an appointment online and pick multiple services (pedicure, gel mani). It was approved, but one of my complaints (which was very minor) is that I had to repeatedly remind the ladies working what I booked and that I didn't want gel on my toes. I also had to wait a bit to get started, despite having an appointment. However seeing them busy was reassuring. As far as the actual services went, the gal working on my nails was incredible. She was very thorough and detail oriented. My two services took about an hour and a half. I didn't mention until almost the end that I was there getting my nails done for my wedding, but she did a wonderful job. She ensure the shape was appropriate, cleaned up any edges as she went, and made sure their were enough coats as I had a lighter color. I made an appointment for 3pm on Father's Day at Bella Nails as my wife asked what I wanted and I thought it would be nice for both of us to go for pedicures . We arrived just before 3pm and we're asked to sign in and the they acknowledged we had a 3pm appointment but the said they would have to push us back to 3:30 which was fine as things happen even though I wasn't real happy about it as we had dinner plans and wanted to beat the dinner rush and get there by 4:30. We got back a couple minutes before 3:30 and waited about 15 and looking around it was clear that it would be at least 4:00 before they got to us but they told us they close at 4 pm, thanks to Bella Nails for providing that part of a crappy Fathers Day as we left without pedicures . I got my nails done on Saturday. I got gel on my toes and nails. I paid $65+$15 tax which was a lot to begin with because I didn't ask for a pedicure or a manicure since I had done it myself but they did touch it up so I let it slide. My fingernails started chipping the night of. Now it's been 2 days and the nail polish is completely coming off. I have never had gel polish come off after 2 days. I will never go back. Went here to get a basic acrylic set. I asked for square and no gel, I just wanted a clear top coat. Not only did the owner completely butcher the shape of them, there was acrylic monomer all over my actual finger/skin. The application was extremely uneven and lumpy, and on top of that she tried to paint my nails a gel color because "it would look better". I cannot have gel for work and let her know this prior. I noticed after paying that the tip on my thumbnail was lifting off the nail bed already, and the owner "fixed" it by gluing the nail to my skin. I had to ask three times for her to remove and replace the acrylic nail. I wish I could've just had the nails removed and gotten a refund. Two nails have already broken off and one has cracked. It has been less than a week. They are not long at all. Waste of two hours for an easy set and waste of money since I had to take them off and do them myself one they started breaking. read more

Love Bella nails! I've been here a handful of times over the last couple years and will keep coming back. The salon is always clean, though busy no matter what time of day I come, it seems. I usually get gel manicures but will sometimes add a regular pedi. Great color selection and they add new colors frequently. They always do an amazing job, but Andy and Angela are my favorite. This is the only nail place that I continuously go to in the Overland Park area! I've gone for the past year and every time I get the dip powder it stays 5 weeks! The only reason it wouldn't last longer is that it just grows out. But it never cracks or chips. Also, I've tried to get holographic nails at numerous salons around town and it always flakes off, but here I attached a photo one week after and it still hasn't budged! I get lots of compliments! What I showed was the pic on top. What I got is the bottom pic. I'd say it's pretty spot on! I left a happy customer. So the only part that worries me in the future is the ability for nail techs to be able to do different things. As customers, we always want to know they we're in good hands you know?! I've looked for a great nail salon for a really long time and I think I've finally found it. The people who work here are incredibly nice and provide exceptional customer service. The prices here are cheaper than anywhere else I've gone in the johnson county area, and they do just as good of a job. I've only had gel manicures here so far, but I am looking forward to trying a pedicure soon. Update 8/18/15: I got the $32 exfoliation pedicure today (I was a little disappointed when I realized pedicures weren't cheaper here as some of the reviews led me to believe). The cheapest pedicure is $25 but it doesn't include any exfoliation (even on the bottom of your feet). Overall, he did do a good job, though I wish there was a little more substance to the massage... I hate not being able to feel it.... And I was also a little bothered when he used his fingernails under my nails to scrape paint... Maybe I'm wrong, but it doesn't feel very sanitary. Everyone there is still incredibly nice every time so I hate to give any negative review, but being a clean freak (and expecting a cheaper pedicure) led me to be a little disappointed. read more

Bella Nails was AMAZING! My sister and I came in at 7:00 pm on a Thursday and requested 2 deluxe pedicures and Acrylics. We had a small wait but it was not long or a problem. They greeted us as soon as we came in and the customer service went up from there. The pedicures were very thorough and took care of all of the calluses. They had great scrub and a fresh mint lotion. It was refreshing and relaxing. They even offered us a glass of red wine. :) Instead of acrylic I got a "powder dip", not sure if that is the correct terminology. I HIGHLY recommend it. They are natural looking, not as bulky, and hard as a rock. Andy was my nail tech and I would highly recommend him as well. He did a fabulous job on the details of my nails. They were slightly rounded just like a natural nail. Cost wasn't anything more than you would expect from other salons. We used the Yelp deal which saved us a little!
