After designing our own kitchen remodel and doing our own demo, we shopped at 5 places for…read moreprefabricated cabinets. We stopped into Galaxy Cabinets and after looking very closely at the details of the cabinets they offer, we were sold. The big differences were the thickness of the wood of the surrounding cabinet structure, and the shelves that are held in place with a snap in interlocking system, rather than just a pin shoved in a hole, and the solid maple doors and the full coating of the white shaker doors. Plus, their prices were about the same as the others we looked at without these features. We did all the demo ourselves and emailed our design with our measurements to Galaxy. They returned a line drawing and a quote. There were a few corrections needed, which took a few back & forth emails with Pam, but then the owner, Hill Wang, came up to confirm our measurements and make the final corrections to their plan. Hill is extremely polite and professional. He made a few fabulous suggestions to our design that are so appreciated now that I'm using my new kitchen. We made our deposit by Venmo and within 8 days, Hill's installer, Kevin arrived to install the cabinets. To my perfectionist husband's delight, Kevin was also a perfectionist who measured twice and checked level constantly. There were no nicks, scratches or damage done at all during his careful installation. All these beautiful cabinets were installed in 2 full days, which included him building a very unique, angled island, which he'd not done before, and then customizing a cabinet to fit it. It's perfect and has so much functionality. The process with Galaxy was totally painless. With construction, there's always an unexpected surprise or two. But Hill was so good to remedy it immediately. One of the lower cabinets I wanted was not in stock, so Hill upgraded it to a 3 pull out drawer, which I LOVE, and am so appreciative of and couldn't do without now. This little Galaxy Cabinet showroom in Corona delivered BIG in quality, timeliness, and satisfaction. We couldn't be more pleased and are so glad we gave them our business. Thanks, Hill. They wer upfront and honest about what they could do , my options and pricing . I was given multiple estimates so I could decide when I was ready . Once ready and final measurements were made, they started quickly . I am pregnant and was very open about my timeline and budget . I needed everything done on time and in budget . They always arrived on time . Jr communicated with me daily on what was the next step happening and what I could expect to happen the next day . all of the workers were very nice hard working and cleaned up after themselves daily . He helped me even order the correct appliances and gave me digital renderings so I can see my kitchen before I bought items or made decisions. He was the manager of a shop called fair price carpets that I worked for for several years. Then when I went on my own and became licensed, we worked together on many projects. I recently needed a room in my house carpeted. I picked out the carpet. They were charging me almost $3500 for the one room mostly because it was a very plush nice Carpet that I picked. When they installed it, it had very bad carpet crush, which is caused by a role sitting at the bottom of a pile for too long. It ends up permanently crushing the nap in certain parts of the role I was informed I would have to live on it for two months and have it professionally cleaned to try and fix the role crush instead of them replacing it as soon as they discovered it was no good. The room I was having carpeted is where my mother-in-law who has recently suffered from two strokes sleeps so every time somebody came to inspect the carpet or clean the carpet or replace the carpet I would have to make arrangements for her to go spend the night somewhere else and move all the furniture out of the room, and this is not counting the canceled appointments because they would schedule appointments even though they clearly knew they wouldn't be ready. The whole ordeal took close to four months and it really seems like nobody knows what they're doing since Dwayne's son took over Duane's son is a good enough guy I've known him for years, but I really must say I miss Duane a lot! And I will not be using carpets by Duane in the future or referring people to their company from now on
