Their reputation seems to precede them. Whoever I dealt with had their sassy pants on and could probably use a refresher on customer service. I was appalled at the way he spoke to us. Once I called my Napa office they took care of my family and apologized and took IMMEDIATE CARE of us. I love Enterprise not just for the cars but honestly it's the Napa team's service. Hours later, and a tow 55 miles into Sonoma, we are trying to get a rental car for 5 days. Kendra who is in the Sonoma store went above and beyond the call!!! She stayed late while we worked out the details of the repair of our truck at the automotive shop across town. She gave us a discounted deal to help out since we were from out of town and obviously in a bind, she found us a better vehicle than our Insurance worked out for the same price, etc. She made the breakdown experience far more bearable! I live…read morejust over 1 mile from 8th St. east Sonoma and thought it would be easy to get a ride to get the car. This was a 7 day rental. A neighbor took me to 8th St. the address listed on the internet. We drove around and around an industrial park, nobody even heard of hertz. With the phone book I called the local number. The man said that the address had not been changed by Hertz anywhere. The new location was on Broadway. We found it with great difficulty. Its about 6 miles south of the Plaza where Highway 121 meets highway 12. Even then we drove round and around and more round to find the Hertz office. The man inside came out and waves us in to the lot. He started to prepare the rental agreement by hand. Why? Hertz doesn't have a printer. The car had a 'maintenance required' light on. I pointed this out but he said it needed an oil change. The car a Yaris was okay. As of this writing I have the car and will return it in a few days. Thank God to get it off my hands. If you were staying in a hotel in Sonoma area and wanted a Hertz car to tool around the wine country, God Help You !!! You would never find this place, I have lived here 35 years and had a very difficult time finally locating it in a big farm rental agency/lumber yard. Why Hertz does not have a location close to the Plaza in the center, I do not know. I should have gone to Enterprise rental in Boyes Hot Springs. If anything, there is local bus service on Highway 12 that can take you to and from there and it is not in the wilderness. I have never had any problem with renting from Hertz at the airports I came through but this local 1 week rental was a terrible experience. Take my advice carefully. Thank you. This review does not reflect on the employee on duty. He tried hard to make everything right and get me on my way. I feel sorry for him working under such poor conditions. Hertz should do much better.

I made the reservation online for a standard SUV and arrived at 1:00 on a Thursday afternoon. I was given a choice of an Xterra or a Equinox; I went with the Equinox which was a good choice since it had less than 5k miles on it. Because of the difference in tax charged to me online, I ended up owing another $4 which was added to my final bill. Checkout was quick and I was out of there in 5 minutes. Checkout when I bought back the car was a little longer. They close at 12:00 noon on Sunday and I arrived a little after 11:00. The clerk (there was only 1 working) was already helping a customer when I walked in. She kept getting interrupted because people were coming in to check out and they kept asking her questions. It probably took me 15 minutes to get out. The checkout process was smooth and fast though. All in all I had a good experience here and would use them in the future.

He walked around the lot searching for a drop box that don't exist. At this point I was hot (it was a warm day out) and frustrated for him and I can see he's feeling what I was feeling. A lot of the reviews talked about racisim and not being treated fairly. Well, I'm almost glad my car broke down to tell you none of that happened to me. There were 2 things that made me change my mind and use Budget Vallejo. I went to pick family up at the airport and my breaks went out on me. Scary! When I searched rent a car places they were one of the only ones opened on Sunday. Also, I read more reviews and came across one that was written by my friend Sean. Sean is one of the nicest and honest men I know. He also happens to be black. When I read Sean's beyond positive review I decided to trust my friend and rent from them. I went there with the attitude that I was going to rent from them, not try to get a deal out of them, and I was going to be pleasant and not demanding. I went with an open mind and no expectations. It worked. Sam, I believe that was his name, was very pleasant to me, upgraded me, showed me how some of things I wasn't familiar with operated, and everything went smoothly. When I returned the vehicle his wife was there and was just as equally pleasant to me. Not one problem. My only regret? I didn't rent from them sooner but I will be again.
