Checked this place out on a Saturday afternoon with my family for some lunch. Located on the corner of busy argyll, lots of parking. Lovely sign on the door that states "if you're hungry with no money come in for a meal". I ordered the beef kebab platter with a size of spicy garlic. The food was mediocre, for $20 I expected more. I found the portions huge, but very greasy. The beef kebabs were rolled hamburger? The rice was almost like a Chinese fried rice but seasoned Lebanese style. Even before I entered this place I was already impressed. They have a sign on the door that reads: If you're hungry and can't afford to pay for your meal come on in and get it for free. Of course, I paid for my meal but that alone gives me an indication of how amazing the owners are. I was greeted immediately upon entering and was surprised to find only one other customer there. It was dinner time, around 7ish and the parking lot was pretty full. Perhaps, due to the the sushi place next door. Anyways, I ordered a medium Donair with cheese. It was delicious! The Donair meat was tender and flavourful. Was loaded with the usual lettuce, tomato, onions and sweet sauce. I devoured about half of it right away and took home the rest. Forgot to take a picture of it though. The only negative is that it could have used a bit more sauce. Otherwise very tasty! I highly recommend this establishment. Super friendly staff and wonderful owners that support the community. I will definitely be back. May try the burger next time. read more

I come here for lunch as it is fairly cose to work. My go to is the flafle. Its good. Although no place makes a flafle wrap like the cedars deli kiosk ar the u of c where i first had one. So they so oretty well considering they are in competition with the golden memories of the past. Donairs are good too. Decor could stand some sprucing up. And interestinly they have a bit coin machine. So if you need to so some bitcoin transactions you can do that here while you wait. read more

Giving this place a 5 star is an understatement. Easily blows all the other Donair places out of the water. Deserves 3 Michelin stars. The hand craftsmanship, from fresh ingredients, to the superb customer service, I really am gonna dream about the food. The divine flavors, bursting in your mouth, the juiciness from the meat, the fries giving you that crunch that you will not experience anywhere else.. This is truly the preeminent spot of them all. There will never be a last time of me coming here. Totally recommend, worth driving from South California to Edmonton. I mean, I drove all the way from San Francisco so that says a lot. I was very happy with the meal and the prices. The first time I went there I had a Donair and it was very tasty and well priced. I did notice a sign on the entrance door which said that if you didn't have money come in anyways and we will give you a meal, my god, that was the nicest notice I have seen at any restaurant. I have gone there twice afterwards and enjoined every meal I ordered. I will not only go there again, but will tell all my friends about it. We shared a supper Donair which the staff cut in half for us and put different toppings on. The sweet sauce was really tasty and the Donair meat was very good. The meat was not dried out and had really good flavour. I did get onions on my side and I was not supposed to but they were really easy to pick out. I did not have tomato and that was great. I did think the Donair was light on the toppings. I would eat here again if I was close by, would not travel to eat here. read more

I've now had 2 meals at Dream Donair and Pizza - 1 was their lasagna and 1 was a Pepperoni, Mushroom, and Bacon pizza. Both were delicious. Only thing that prevented me from giving the place 5 stars is that the mushrooms on my pizza appeared to be a mix of canned and fresh. Canned mushrooms on a pizza is terrible and quite bland. Other than that, food is very good and will definitely go again from time to time. read more

The donair meat was dry. Sauce wasn't the best either. I'd recommend you go elsewhere.

No complaints. Donair was huge. Could barely eat it. I asked for onions and tomatoes and tzaziki sauce and that is what I got. The server was pleasant. They have a TV while you wait. Did not try the pizza. read more

Solid donair. I think I will give up trying to single out Edmonton's "Best Donair". Really...there's not much to them, and based on my experiences recently...there really are a number of great donair shops around. And of course:..a few that are not so great. And frankly...I am not surprised by this epiphany. Donairs are not fine dining, and are, in my opinion, something that any shop which manages to stay in buisness, must be getting "right enough" to maintain a customer base. Dream Donair ranks highly on my scale of good shops. Store itself is nice, clean...but otherwise unimpressive. My super donair combo with onion rings and a can of pop came to ~$14. Rings were good. Donair was actually quite delicious. Great flavor to the meat. Fresh veggies. Good pita. Nice sweet sauce. Only "complaint" is that I could have used more sauce. Will I be back... Not soon, as there are still plenty of other donair shops to check out. But I would happily eat here regularly if it was in my "neck of the woods". read more

Always delicious, donairs don't fall apart, everyone working there is super friendly, AND they deliver!! The best thing I like about this Donair was the sweet sauce which is like the sauce you would get in a Halifax Donair. The meat was thinly shaved, not too dry and not overly greasy like some shops. The meat portion was fairly generous on a Super Donair like it should be. The vegetable toppings like lettuce and tomatoes were sufficient. I added Jalepenos and black olives for flavour. I would put the donairs here as very good but not the best out there in my opinion. The price of $9 for a Super was on par with other donair places. The service was very friendly. As this location is fairly convenient I will try some of their other offerings another time like the Kebabs. When I'm craving a donair and have the time I would go to other places that have more spicing in their meat and a little more juicy. read more

Good food, good service, good price. I had my first donair there and it was very good. They have different sauces and they are homemade, and tastes. Only downfall is I wish they had some extras like pickles, peppers and others than just the regular lettuce, tomato and onion. read more

Quick, friendly, fast service. Would recommend this Donald shop if you're in the area. Nothing out of this world but gets the job done. Prices are good in comparison to portion size. Restaurant is clean and tidy. Look forward to trying the pizza. read more
