Growing up, my skills for cooking filipino food has enhanced tremendously so I figured I'd cook it myself.. After taking my pup home I thought, 'I doubt that little filipino grocery store near my house is still open.. but it wouldn't hurt to check.' ... and BAM! It's OPEN til 8pm! Yah, baby. Thas' what I'm tawn' bout. This mini grocery store has almost all the shelved groceries (no produce) I need to make a home cooked dish. Pancit bihon and canton noodles, eggroll wrappers, the BIG rice sacks, the "real" filipino corned beef (not to be confused with Libby), pan de sal, pan de coco, otap, preseasonings for lazy days, siopao, etc! Best of all, they have "My Shalden" air freshners for my car! Besides the front room of groceries (the store is super cramped), just DON'T forget the back door.. Through there, you'll find more aisles of canned goods and most importantly, different types of soy sauces and vinegars. Also, open up the 3 freezers.. frozen packaged bangus and other pre-cooked dried fish, chicken and pork longanisa, chicken and pork tocino.. etc etc etc! I seriously feel like a kid in a candy store. Atbp saves me time and gas money as oppose to driving out to an asian store way out on Bellaire and wasting time trying to distinguish the difference between chinese, vietnamese, and filipino products.. not that it matters, but sometimes I want to find a true filipino product without hassle. By the way, my dish came out perrrfect, as always ;) Pancit craving satisfied but now I'm craving arroz caldo! Maraming salamat, Atbp! (meaning: Thank you very much, Atbp!)

The owner was right there on the line working hard with his employees and the ingredients were real and fresh. It took me such a long time to visit this restaurant because the concepts are not something you see often, after the eating the food it's like a spin on cajun, american comfort soul food with a modern day finish. I don't even speak like this, but after this fantastic meal I couldn't help but to let yall know it's worth a try. The first item I tried was the blackened fish jambalaya & it was really good & looked like it came straight out the pan! however i'm used to bland food so the kick from the seasoning took me back some. I then tried their punch and it was so good words can't even explain. Again packed with flavor , sweet and has a tang from what seems to be lemon. Fresh pineapples and strawberries were in the drink as well, I can honestly say it's one of the best 3 drinks i've ever had. If they sold them by the gallon i'd purchase it just to keep in the house. I even added some water to it when it was almost gone and it still tasted good! It mellowed out some of the sweetness, but not the flavor. I also got the Da Justo Sampler and at first it seemed like a lot and kind of overwhelming, but let me tell you it was so amazing. First of all the grilled cheese was exceptional, the best grilled cheese i've ever had. The wings were sweet and spicy and I didn't even need ranch for them, I thought it would ruin the flavor! & I'm a person who eats ranch with everythingg. The mac & cheese is the perfect example of what mac and cheese should be, the fries were okay though, I wish they were crispier but even with that it didn't stop nothing! Everything is still a 10/10. I went back and tried the Jambalaya a little later & again another 10/10, i've never had Jambalaya before so the flavors were so crazy , but I still found myself not able to put the fork down! The portions are very big from those two meals I got i was able to share with 3 other people and we all had nice portions ( i was not sharing that punch tho!). if your sick of your typical generic food options and want something out the box and worth the price or just want a cheat meal that's worth it, Krack Kitchen is your spot!

It's inside a gas station which wasn't too busy for a Friday night. You order at grill, but when they give you the receipt you have to pay the gas station attendant. Make sure you go back to the grill to show you paid for your meal. Now I will say it took 25 minutes to get our food but it was HOT and FRESH. We got the jambalaya and 10 chicken wings. The wings were crispy and juicy with a lot of seasoning. Everything inside the Jambayla was delicious from the shrimp, to the fish, to the sausages, etc etc. just all super flavorful in general. There are 4 small tables each with 2 seats which I appreciated cause I usually prefer to eat the food fresh rather than eating it in the car/bringing it home. Would definitely come back to try other dishes; but keep in mind that the location of the gas station is kinda not ideal. You'll know what I mean when you drive there. It's hard getting there/getting out. And again food takes a long time, so if you're looking for quick fast food this place is not it, but it is delicious

So I'm glad this one in Pearland opened up fairly recently and we got to go here with good friends! The place was bustling on a Monday night with several diners coming in and out and various takeout orders being made. We skipped the dumplings and went straight for the plates. We ordered the Dry Fried Spicy Popcorn Chicken, Mabo Tofu, Ground Pork with Bean Sauce Dry Noodles, and the Mix Flavor Eggplant. The Dry Fried Spicy Popcorn Chicken came out as a huge portion - this is a must-do anytime we get Szechuan food. The chicken was crispy and the side of rice was served on the plate. The Mabo (Mapo? never seen it spelled that way) Tofu was flavorful. It had a good spice to it and was big enough to share. The Ground Pork with Bean Sauce noodles was tasty - the pork paired well with the bean sauce and the dish was topped with sliced cucumbers and peanuts, which made me connect this as a sibling dan dan noodles. The mix flavor eggplant as seasoned really well and was a nice veggie to balance out the other meats we ordered. I expected this to just be a stir fry dish of sauced eggplant, but to my surprise, it was served on top of their signature handmade noodles. Service was friendly and efficient. Our food started coming out within 5 minutes of ordering and the servers kept our waters filled. The only disappointment here was that we asked for scissors to cut the long hand-pulled noodles; they gave us a knife because they didn't have any clean scissors. NOT THE SAME. We hinted that if a pair of scissors happened to get cleaned, we'd love to get it, but we never did unfortunately. So we struggled and played spaghetti with our noods, not necessarily a bad thing. Towards the end of our meal, there were still a few tables dining in, and our table stayed to chat a bit. The staff had no problem with this and even still refilled our waters after we checked out. We had a great experience at the Pearland Noodle Master and will definitely return again soon.
