We had Dream Design remove the builders carpet in the bedrooms and closets in our new standing inventory home in Pahrump Nevada. The house had this nice wood plank tile in the entire home, except the bedrooms. The tile manufacturer changed the die lots so we could not get an exact color match, but they had the same style and base color. See the nice transition at the door from the original tile in the hallway going into the master bedroom. The color of the new tile is just a shade darker or lighter depending on how the light hits it. The installer suggested this transition as it would allow for a no threshold look and we would not have mixed die lots running together. Great suggestion and great look, we love how it came together. The tile installers were extremely professional and did an amazing job. I don't normally leave positive reviews unless I'm really impressed. read more

We just finished a total main floor renovation, my only word is stunning! We lived in this non-functioning home for 13 years, so I knew exactly what I wanted. Dream Design came to my rescue from tearing down walls, to building a pantry, moving the entrance door from the garage for an enlarged laundry room. Even moving a bedroom door for a more convenient walk-thru to the bathroom! Plus all new flooring through out the entire first floor! Oh and did I mention the pantry, love it! I went to their shop, met Albert and not only did he work with me on my budget, he helped me pick out the perfect floor. Albert was terrific. 3. Leo, the installer, did a perfect job on the installation. Leo was terrific. 4. They moved ALL of the furniture and put it back! We had some issue with the 1/4 rounds in our kitchen. They didn't match the floor or the cherrywood cabinets. There wasn't anything in their stock that matched. No biggy, my husband bought some flat molding, ($100) stained it Cherrywood, used liquid nails and voila, everything's perfect. I wouldn't hesitate to use the Dream Design team again. There were a few hiccups during the process, such a scheduling, and missing a few custom details, and we weren't aware that we were responsible for touch ups that were needed in certain areas after demolition/installation, hence 1 less star. It was lack of clarity on there's and our end, which seems to be the trend with most contractors we've worked with when it comes to any home renovations. They do make sure any concerns you have are addressed right away. Overall I do recommend them! I was matched with Dream Design through Floor & Decor. My husband and I were replacing our old flooring with new wood-like porcelain planks. The experience we had with DD was up and down. Pros: Luis and our other contractors were professional, on time, and did a great job. They were very communicative via text and kept us up to date on their progress every day. Cons: The sales side of DD isn't as communicative. During the demo of the old flooring, the contractors realized our floors were not level. We were told by our sales agent, John, that we needed materials to level the floor. He quoted us $500 for materials and labor to level. However, when we asked how much the materials actually cost, he evaded the question on 4 separate phone calls and texts. We just want to know what we are paying for, and when you are not transparent, it starts to feel like we are being taken advantage of. In the end, after asking him daily for about a week, he finally sent us an invoice with the breakdown. It shouldn't be this hard to get an answer. John also gave us a shopping list of items to purchase from Floor & Decor to get the process started. Halfway through the flooring process, our contractors told us that they ran out of material. John didn't factor in enough when he sent the shopping list, and we ended up having to buy $200+ more flooring materials. We were assured that our flooring would be finished by May 29. We had a set move-in date, and we were told, "No problem. It will be done, and it will be done perfectly." The work was not completed until June 2. In the end, the contractors did really nice work. We understand the leveling of the floors ate up a day of progress, and we were able to push our move-in date back to accommodate. I'd use the contractors themselves again, but the sales side of DD left me feeling annoyed and exhausted. Chasing down answers about where my money is being used is not a good feeling. read more

This is the second time I've used Dream Design. First time was flooring only (see past review) This time an entire kitchen AND new flooring. We had a hot water line pipe burst, our kitchen had to be demoed. I immediately called John at Dream Design. He came out immediately. Unreliable!!!!! And highly unprofessional. I spoke with Mike last week as I asked for installation of tile floors from Floor and Decor. He asked me the square footage of the room, which I told him. He gave me a price quote for 4.56 dollars per sq.ft. He makes an appointment for me a week later, between the hours of 1 and 2 which then his partner ends up showing up instead, 3 HOURS from my original time and states that he isn't here for installation instead to measure how many square feet the room was!!! I thought we went over that over the phone, genius! Showing up 3 hours late to measure a room with no RULER just a piece of paper and a pen is unacceptable, then his partner leaves the house and DOESN'T measure the room!!! but informs he will send me a quote. I hired Dream design to remodel 2 bathrooms for me. They had previously installed engineered wood flooring, which I was very happy with. They came out & demoed my bathrooms & had the plumbers do all the rough plumbing work. They installed all the floor tiles & guest bathroom wall tile. They did a great job! Except they did not do my shampoo niche the way I wanted. What they did looks ok, but it's not what I wanted. in my master bath, I wanted porcelain slab on the shower walls. Since they did not do that, I hired someone else to do it. I informed Dream design that the walls are done & asked when they could come finish. All that is left is the shower glass, install the tub, install the faucets & valves. I've been texting & emailing & calling for a month now. They do not return my calls, or answer my texts or emails. I've paid them for the work that's been done. Apparently, the rest of the work is not worth their time. if you choose to hire them, do not pay them until all the work is done! Maybe then you might get your job finished. It's a shame to be treated like this because they do great work. I know I'm not their only customer & there's plenty of work out there. But that will not last forever. That's when they'll need repeat customers. I would not use them again. read more

I wanted to share my experience with Dream Design .They installed my kitchen granite and cabinets. Granite they brought was broken and glued back together hoping it will go unnoticed by me. Cabinets got all damaged during installation. They didn't even do their measurement right , my refrigerator can't fit back in, it is sitting in the middle of my kitchen. They are willing to fix the cabinets but not the granite. They say that granite came like that and they are not responsible for it. The main boss contacted me over the phone and threatened to put a lien on my property. I told him that I will pay the rest of the money when they replace the granate, and fix everything but he said NO!! I filed a case with Nevada State Contractors Board and now waiting for resolution. When having our kitchen re-done, Dream Design LLC did the work on our remodel. Dream Design installed our counters and right after installation we found a large crack on one of the corners. We immediately notified Dream Design and was assured the newly installed damaged slab on our island would be replaced. They tried filling & polishing the damaged area but it only made the crack more obvious to the eye and even still more concerning is the fact that it is broken on the corner and will eventually break off. I have numerous messages back & forth with John of Dream Design confirming the replacement and that they even purchased the new slab but they still have not done so. It's been three months now & I text yesterday (October 11, 2021) only to be told they would not be replacing the damage slab at all. What? Not only is this unacceptable but deceiving as we discussed the damage numerous times and They were in agreement that the slab was to be replaced. They have drawn this out for months and now that all this time has passed they state suddenly that they have done their due diligence and are not obligated to do anything else. Their due diligence? hmmm. John told us they would replace the slab. . . no questions asked. He was the one who suggested filling and polishing the crack when we first discussed the damage and I stated that due to it being a corner piece I was not comfortable with that. He said he would definitely replace it but wanted to see how filling would look so I agreed only because he promised to replace if it didn't turn out well or I was still not comfortable due to the crack being on the corner. I have plenty of texts stating that the replacement was happening AFTER THE FAILED FILLING. Even a text stating Dream Design had actually purchased the new slab. Now, after months of waiting on them...I get nothing but excuse after excuse...even stating the installer had a stroke but that they'd find someone else to get it done soon. and suddenly not doing it at all. I paid over 5K for a brand-new counter only to receive one damaged upon installation? And then get the "Oh sorry, not our problem". Lovely company. Would not EVER recommend. Unfortunately, this slab they installed can and will be easily damaged due to the location of the crack and after normal everyday use and traffic in the area... yikes. Counters are supposed to last and we bought a brand new counter that we have to treat as fragile always WORRYING THE CORNER PIECE WILL BREAK OFF? I have a family and large household everyone congregating around the island. I did not pay all this money for a damaged piece. This is not the norm. I now am filing a complaint with the NV Contractors Board & possibly to file a formal complaint if necessary as I have a list of other issues (oh so many) in regard to the other work they did on the rest of the house also. I have never dealt with such deceitful, mistrusting company in all my years. And their lack of care in quality and work product is flabbergasting. Sloppy, lazy and half done jobs. And good luck trying to get a hold of anybody. Yikes again. And once you do have an issue don't hold your breath. I have seen other complaints about them in various places and they are all the same; very unreliable people. Painted my kitchen cabinets and in some places doors where not sanded leaving uneven finish along with stains from the overspray on my cement. Dream Design installed vinyl plank floors in my home in January of 2018. I noticed in early February that one of the planks is defective. It is starting to come apart. So I contacted the wholesaler, Lumber Liquidators, and they advised I would need to call the installer. I did. On 2/7. I just want the plank replaced. Don't care who does it. Was told the project manager for my job would call me that day. 2 weeks later I get the call. The store operator or service rep makes promises that are never kept. Was told on 3/27 I would get a call right back. 2 days later and still no call. I can't use the manufacturer warranty because the installer bought the planks and I paid them. It's been almost 2 months and I can't get one guy to come look at the problem. I really don't want to have to go through the hassle of the contractors board but it looks like I'm going to have to go that route. 7/25 - John and Dream Design team made things right. After several calls and text messages, I was able to get my entire floor replaced. Per Dream Design, Lumber Liquidators was very slow in responding to the warranty claim. After my direct dealings with Lumber Liquidators, I got that sense as well. I really wish it would of been communicated earlier on to me that Lumber Liquidators was holding up the process. Once approved for the replacement of the floor, we picked out a new engineered vinyl that was of much higher quality and it is a thicker floor. The same guys installed the floor and they did a great job with the new flooring. John, my new project mgr, was very responsive to calls and text messages. He stepped into a messy situation and was able to fix our problem. After seeing how my problem was handled, I would use Dream Design and John again. read more

Albert worked with me to get the best deals (thousands less than several other quotes I had gotten prior) and was able to get a quick start date for my floor installation. I found this company via Home Advisor. Jon called me and was able to come out and give me a quote 20 min after we spoke. I had put in laminate in every part of my house 7 years ago, except the kitchen and dining room. Jon was able to find the EXACT SAME laminate for the kitchen and dining so that it would perfectly match the rest of the house! The guys showed up on time and we very efficient. I am so impressed with this company! We worked with John who was very quick to respond anytime I texted him. We had issues with our countertops so had to keep delaying the backsplash project. John worked around our timeline and was able to send his team, Jose Suarez out on very short notice when we were finally ready. We initially had planned to go with a different company through Lowe's but they could not guarantee the herringbone pattern I wanted would align on a non 90 degree wall we have. I am so thrilled we switched to Dream Design! They assured us the herringbone subway tile pattern would be no problem. Jose and his team were friendly, very courteous and so very skilled. They spent extra time making sure the pattern aligned perfectly. They were also so meticulous about clean up, actually on their hands and knees wiping up my floors at the end.
