I went to inquire about enrolling my child into this school and received very rude treatment from…read morethe front office (Cassandra). I was completely turned off by her unprofessionalism, lack of eye contact, and the way she treats children. The front desk/office is the face of an establishment, the representation of what is the come. After talking with different parents I came to found out the following: * HIGH turnaround on teachers/staff. * The area is bad. * Homeless are constantly within feet of the school and the police don't always clear them out in the mornings. * Restrictions on taking your own child out of school during after hours!? * Over capacity of students. Most often times they need to eat lunch in their classrooms. *During the summer, the air conditioners don't always work, and the children are forced to eat outside with no shade. *Every year, at least 1 teacher leaves the school. Sometimes mid-year! Do yourself a huge favor and do your due diligence. Talk to other parents there and drive around during business hours and you can see it all for yourself.

Ms. Vandien is another teacher that she has a friendship with through other families, anytime Krissy has needed assistance she's always helped without question. A plus is a student store that even I had as a child. that gives them incentive to earn and spend. all schools should have them. we are truly blessed to have this opportunity. I reached out desperately needing an advocate after years of frustration, confusion, and getting nowhere with the school district. After just one consultation, they joined me at my sons' IEP meeting the following week, and I was in absolute shock at how much they were able to accomplish after just one meeting. What started with one IEP quickly turned into a series of strategic, intentional meetings, each one bringing us closer to accountability and real solutions. It wasn't overnight, but their consistency and pressure made all the difference. They asked all the right questions, the kind that only an experienced advocate would know to ask. They challenged the district in a way I never could as a parent alone, and they did it respectfully, knowledgeably, and with total confidence in my boys' rights. Watching them work was like watching people who not only knew the law inside and out, but who genuinely cared about my kids as if they were their own. From the very beginning, they walked me through everything step by step. They took the time to explain my sons' IEPs in detail, something no school team has ever done. I finally felt heard, empowered, and most importantly, supported. They made sure my boys got exactly what they were promised under FAPE, and when the district fell short, they didn't back down. Because of them, my sons now have a plan in place that will completely shift the course of their academic progress and self regulation, a direct result of the team's relentless advocacy and dedication. Madelyn spent hours behind the scenes using her investigation skills and due diligence to uncover the district's missteps, while Amber was like a legal encyclopedia, firing back with exact amendments and language without missing a beat. Diego especially... he should seriously become a lawyer. The way he advocated for my family felt like I had my own brother in the room fighting for us. That level of passion, knowledge, and care is rare and it's exactly what every parent of a child with special needs deserves. From now until my boys graduate high school, IEP With Help will be at every IEP meeting. That's a promise I've made to myself and to my kids. I am forever grateful to this team, my heart is full. We had the pleasure of working with YI for our son's therapy--once, around when our son was 6…read moremonths, and then a bit more than a year later (we had moved, and SARC assigned us to another agency, which we eventually went back to YI). The technician that was assigned to our son (the second time) noticed that he showed behavioral patterns that indicated SPD. Neither my wife nor I were familiar with this, and the tech suggested some resources for us to read and learn from (one of which was The Out Of Sync Child, which comes on an audiobook). I am always thankful for YI and that tech, as, until our son could officially be diagnosed (later diagnosed as autism), that tech integrated her therapy to be in line with children who have SPD. Unfortunately, SARC assigned another agency to our son (as he required many more hours, which YI couldn't meet; as well as other services that YI doesn't offer). That agency, among many other problems, didn't know (or bother to learn about) SPD. Fortunately, after pushing our Regional Contact for another agency (as well as asking to go back to YI, as, even though our son was getting fewer hours, those hours were FAR MORE SUBSTANTIVE than the new agency--in fact, he was REGRESSING with the new agency), the new agency (which could meet the new hour demands and other services) knew about SPD and their techs are trained about it.

We reached out to Brain Balance and knew right away we wanted him to enroll in the program. The staff at Brain Balance Redlands is extremely supportive and flexible. They accommodate our schedule and work with us to help our son get the most out of the program. We want to give our children every opportunity to succeed in life and I truly believe Brain Balance is a good stepping stone for our son's growth. Not only do we see a change in his ability to regulate his own emotions along with improvement in his focus and coordination among other things but HE feels it too.
