It's a bit out of my way but as Clare S and I were here for a cheese and Heverlee tasting event we decided to head in early to get something to eat. First impressions are a little on the hipster side, with a mix of established locals propping up the bar. I liked it straight away. I also liked the dancing barman who was getting his early 90s pop/dance groove on! The menu looks good, and we decided on three sliders and some fries between us.. actually we decided on one slider each but I got talked into the third when I ordered, I'm such an easy touch!! I ordered a pint of their own Dram lager which was ok, nothing memorable but palatable enough, and pretty soon the food arrived. One mac cheese for Clare S, a cheeseburger that was unclaimed at first, and pulled pork for me. Very impressed by the smoky pulled pork slider, deliciously moist with enough of a smoky flavour to add to it without overwhelming it completely, lovely! I ended up snarfing the cheeseburger one too which was ok but seemed to be made from one big cheeseburger cut fit the bun, most odd. We then wandered to the cheese tasting event at the back of the pub - which was ace, who knew cheese and a crisp pils would go so well together! - a nice space that you can book out for events. Two things let this place down though. The volume of the music was more city centre club levels, and the fact that our event was right next to the door to the toilets and the whiff we all got every time the door was opened was unfortunate, the toilets were clean, but the 'blu-block' smell just wasn't great. This could be a great pub, the food was brilliant, a reasonable range behind the bar, good prices but I guess they are catering for their student audience with the BANGING MUSIC!!! Oh dear, I'm getting old, aren't I...

Dram is what it is. I've only ever been in during the day on the Saturday as a group of us book the Wee Dram side room, but I've always found it to be a nice space. The staff are helpful and friendly, even accommodating tabs and table service when they don't usually in the Wee Dram. The food...well...don't go specifically for the food. It's good enough if you're hungry. The first time I ordered food, a friend and I both got pancakes...and they were tough and hard round the edges. But this time I got one of their mini Slider burgers and fries and it was quite tasty! The fries were perfect and the burger, while not amazing, hit the spot. They are reasonably priced and are happy for bookings. They even allow for turning the music down while our group is having discussions. At the moment they are showing the rugby on all the TVs and it's attracting people to watch this. The decor is quirky, a bit of a run down rustic feel, which I love :)

It's been renamed 'dram'. Prefered the old name but the pub renovation has been a massive improvement. Pizzas are god too!

Great staff, great whiskey selection, great sandwiches (although the rest of the menu could need some improvement..)

It's cozy, crowded, and buzzing with life -- often standing room only and packed shoulder-to-shoulder with locals and travelers alike. If you're a whisky fan (or even just whisky-curious), do yourself a favor and try one of their Scotland whisky flights. It's like taking a mini tour of the country's whisky regions without ever leaving your barstool -- and without worrying about driving. The bartenders really know their stuff and are happy to guide you toward something you'll love. A quick heads-up: no football colors allowed, which keeps the atmosphere friendly and relaxed no matter who you support. And speaking of friendly -- the locals here are as welcoming as they come. This is exactly the kind of place where Scotland's famous pub culture shines. Prices are surprisingly reasonable too, so you can sample a few drams without feeling guilty. Whether you're a seasoned whisky nerd or just looking to experience the local vibe, this is the spot. Pull up a stool (if you can find one) and enjoy a proper Scottish night out

Their selection is so huge they don't have a menu, you just have to ask for your label or take their recommendations. Naturally, most of the selection is Scottish whiskey, but if you somehow prefer otherwise, (say you are a local tired of Scotch... or just want to reaffirm nothing beats a Scotch?) they do offer whiskey from other countries, as well as beer and ciders, as well as gin, rum and the like. They do offer pies and other bar food, but we went after dinner and just couldn't stomach more food, tempting as they may sound.

Good location to stop on your way back from Kelvingrove's Art Gallery and Museum. We walked from the museum to the pub without any problems. It's nice on the inside. There are some tables and the bar is at the center with a nice display of alcohol both on tap and on the walls. Beer: there was large selection of beer and liquor to choose from. I was looking for a good stout and the bartender, Andrew gave me some really good recommendations. I settled on the Overtone Milk that he recommended and it did not disappoint. It was smooth, full bodied, and flavorful. Nice chocolate flavor with a hint of smokiness to it. My husband got the Drygate IPA and it was crisp and hoppy. Service: I always look for good conversation, attentiveness, kindness, and whether or not the server and or bartender was knowledgeable about what they're serving. Our bartender Andrew was all of the above. He was so welcoming, and my husband and I enjoyed the great conversation With him. He knew a lot about the selection of beers and whiskey, where it came from, and who it came from, so that was wonderful! Thank you Andrew for a great experience. We hope we can stop by again while we're still in Glasgow.
