Ok so this place borrows on the cult status of the dude and has little more in common with the dude than some cool artwork, dude themed menu and dude like music (Dylan la,la,la,la...man in me)...well folks its sure as shit of a shovel good enough for me. Now before i continue its important you understand just how hard it is for me not to pepper this review with quotes from his dudeness, El duderino.......oh crap too late. Now,apart from the hee hee its the dude factor its worth pointing out the other plus points of this joint. A kick ass menu with fresh Scottish produce of the highest quality means a mouth watering option of grub., i plumped for the tomato soup served to me in what can only be discribed as a basin sized bowl (truckin huge i tells thee) with a couple of wedges of bread....yurm. My boyfriend and his friends can actually hold entire conversations by just reeling off film quotes to each other. TV series' have started to get a look in too- Curb Your Enthusiasm and Arrested Development being the most recent favourites. Last year I actually quoted an entire scene from Curbed without ever having actually watched it just on the basis of the their quotey indoctrination. There are two films which I blame for having started this trend amongst them- 1) Anchorman- 'I love scotch. Scotchy, scotch, scotch. Here it goes down, down into my belly... ' 'That's the smell of desire my lady' 'You are a smelly pirate hooker' 'Yeah, there were horses, and a man on fire, and I killed a guy with a trident.' 'I love lamp' 2) The Big Lebowski 'We're talking about unchecked aggression here, dude' 'That rug really tied the room together' 'Nobody calls me Lebowski. You got the wrong guy. I'm the Dude, man.' 'Nihilists! Jesus. Say what you like about the tenets of National Socialism, Dude, at least it's an ethos. ' I could go on far, far longer.... Knowing what you now know about my boyfriend you can appreciate how jealous he was when I told him I was visiting a bar in Glasgow named 'Lebowskis'. This place acts as a bit of a shrine to the film, not in a tacky themed decor style but within the bar menu which will definitely strike a cord with any fans of the film. Over 40 different White Russian variations are offered from around the world with unique spicings, vodka's and mixers. Very tasty, very cool! The barman here was lovely and keen to point out that there was a comfy sofa towards the back of the bar if we wanted to grab it before things got busy. His 'Glasgow-banter' style was very welcoming and relaxed- think 'The Dude' meets Robert Carylisle and you're just about there. My previous review was for Friday night dinner (burgers) and this update was for a Wednesday afternoon working session at Lebowki's. I know, it's maybe not your expected spot to go to get some work done but I needed to sit somewhere for an hour and this seemed like the perfect place. On a Wednesday afternoon it wasn't too busy - maybe 5-6 tables filled and the rest free. Strangely they had signs on every table saying "reserved for diners" so I wasn't actually sure where I could sit until the bar staff reassured me I could actually sit anywhere, even if all I was having was a pot of tea. I worked away on my laptop for about an hour - the staff were really nice and friendly and checked up on me and didn't make me feel like I was being a pain, the music was fine and the vibe was relaxed. I didn't use their wifi as I just tethered off my phone. My pot of tea was somewhere under the £2 mark - I would have ordered food but I'd already had two lunches so thought that might break me. While I wouldn't recommend going here in the evening/weekend to get work done, it was perfectly suitable on a Wednesday afternoon and I'd consider going back if I was in the area and needed a spot to work again. read more

This is a great pub in a good location. Lebowkis has been about for years and pubs around it seem to come and go but it has always stayed safe and a favourite of many. Hands up. They let dogs in as well (I will add it to my Glaswegian mutt pub list) so I give it extra points right up front, but there is much more to like about it than that. Service is always very quick and the beer selection is decent with lots of variety and usually several William Bros options. If the sun is out there is space outside to sit and enjoy a bit of the rare good weather we get in Glasgow. Last time I ate here was on an itison deal and I had a burger and chips which was excellent and obviously great value for money as we were basically getting two for one pricing. Lebowskis is a great pub in Finnieston. Here it's all about the burgers and the White Russians. Did you think there was just one recipe for that particular cocktail? Think again - Lebowskis has managed to come up with 26 varieties. Obviously, with such range there is the side effect of having a very well stocked bar, with rum fans being served especially well. If cocktails and rum aren't yout thing, fear not, there's plenty more to chose from and they usually have at least a couple of real ales on draft too. The food is pretty decent - obviously Glasgow has more burger places than you can shake a stick at but they do a few other things too and their desert menu is always especially tempting. They also get bonus points because their kitchen generally stays open until 10pm, which can be really handy when you want a late bite to eat but don't really want to resort to a full on restaurant or to fast food. The pub quiz is on Wednesdays, is free to enter and is a lot of fun. They also run a couple of live music nights. It's easy to see why this place is so popular. Consider booking ahead if you're visiting with a group and would like to sit down to eat - it can sometimes be hard to get a table. read more

I see previous reviewers have found it impossible to resist littering their reviews with words of wisdom from The Dude so I will try very hard not to follow this pattern. Following my first visit a few days ago, I am pleased to confirm this bar is not all style and no substance. The vegetarian burger I ordered, which was loaded with peppers, aubergines and goat's cheese, was delicious. The decor was stylish. And clearly a lot of people in Glasgow agreed with me, as the place was absolutely mobbed. I can't say enough amazing things about this place. Aside the fact that it's menu is largely based on it's name sake film The Big Lebowski, the atmosphere in general is amazing. It sits in a great area of Finneston and it's always packed with patrons. I've been in a few times for food and even more times for a booze or two. It works well if you manage to get a seat, but they also take reservations, so you can just walk in, find the table with your name on it, and enjoy. This place is so cool though, standing to eat or drink is well worth it. This particular visit, my dude and I (see what I did there?!) stopped in for a drink on our way through Finneston (a wee Finneston pub crawl if you will) and it was a great experience. We managed to nab a small table in the back of the pub, but then decided to sit outside to enjoy the nice weather. The bar service was quick enough, but come to find out, my dudes favourite cider is no longer sold here. Womp womp! A few times before, I've been there for their burgers which are killer. Never a complaint in that department. There onion rings are like no other in the area, so please, do yourself a favour and order some! The only odd thing I did notice this visit is that the food window (where the chef puts the food for the server to pick up) is right outside, and I mean right outside, the ladies toilet, which is a bit off putting. I mean, sure, I love sniffing at and potentially grabbing a chip off a plate as I'm walking in to the toilet, but thinking about the many people who could potentially pass by my own plate of food as it sits, waiting to be brought out to me, is a little weird. Friday night at 7pm in Lebowski's is absolutely jumping, even with the smallest of gigs on at the Hydro. With that in mind there was still a lot of confusion when we showed up for our booked table. First off the people in our booth refused to move and this was just accepted by the staff. This resulted in us not actually being sat down for 15 minutes and standing by the door while people shuffled past is constantly. Not a great start. When we were sat down I was so hungry that everything on the menu looked appealing but I opted for the chilli cheese dog with a side of mac and cheese. The food was... nice. The sausage itself was great, lightly smoked and full of flavour. The chilli had no heat and the cheese was totally overpowered by the other flavours. The bun was lovely but it fell apart almost immediately so I had to CUT UP my hotdogs... Into chunks... With a knife and fork. Sacrilege. The mac and cheese was creamy, quite mild, but well cooked. It was a good side but nothing to rave about. I wanted to love Lebowski's. But I just liked it. The food was good but it isn't somewhere I'll be rushing back to for food. Lebowskis is of course named after the film starring "the dude" probably the most influential man in the world who wears a dressing gown after Jesus. However, this pub isn't a cheesy tribute act. References in the film are dotted around in the menu and the wifi code but that's it. Instead, the pub has a Glaswegian influence; its logo is three of the Titan cranes you see along the Clyde in Finnieston and Clydebank. Based in the West End bit of Argyle Street, Lebowskis is the coolest addition to the most up and coming nightlife area in Glasgow. The food is solid, the music is spot on and the decor is stylish. But you'll be lucky to grab a seat as word has spread and the place is always mobbed. read more

I am late to this party - I know that Unfortunately, Lebowskis showed up just a little late. I had already ticked the box for "Pub Named After a Famous Fictional Drinker" and thought I really do not need another one of those in my life. Due to the choice of another, I did not even venture in here and it was my loss. So what did I miss out on. First a very decent beer selection and a great cocktail listing. Secondly a stunning menu. I remember Burgers this good, but they are 3000 miles away and are priced in dollars. Burgers in the UK unfortunately have been defined by either the dry brown tasteless biscuits served from Burger Vans (if you named the van after it, would you not make the bloody effort!!). Or the frozen things reheated in microwaves and handed over a counter on a brown tray or served in a pub with floppy oily white chips. Both really suck. They should maybe create a sub-genre for these things - because Lebowski have brought the Burger Back - JT style. Decent meat , no frozen patties, no microwaves, a thickness of chopped beef on good bread. That is what we needed. About bloody time. Oh yeah the chips - they call them tats - not sure why. They remind me of potato wedges but skinnier and double fried so that sugars in the potato are caramelised. Beautifully done. Really bring out the flavour in what started with decent potatoes - well prepared and cook. If you are looking for real food - keep walking past all of those places that have disappointed you - step in here, pay the extra and enjoy a decent burger. read more

"That rug really tied the room together." Unfortunately, I didn't see the rug in Lebowskis. It's been absolute years since I last watched The Dude, but Lebowskis is always a stark reminder of the classic that he is. This was the first time that I had ever been inside, although it had been on my bucket list for ages (even though I'm not a big fan of white Russians, mainly because I don't drink milk). On the whole, I appreciate the details that really tie this place together (get it?) although as previously mentioned, I didn't see a rug, but the bowling pins near the entrance were a fab little touch. I was really torn between getting a burger and the fish and chips (I had been craving fish and chips previously), but then there were so many other things that sounded SO good on the menu - one I remember quite clearly, mac and cheese on a slice of garlic bread. How good does that sound?! #Carboverload. However, when I saw they had something called "The Fish Supper Burger" (£9.95) I was pretty much sold. The two items which I hadn't been able to decide between previously, combined?! Yes, please. It arrived and I was very happy, it looked amazing, a huge towering stack of beer battered fish on a brioche bun. On second look, my heart sank. When ordering I had stressed to the waiter to exclude the tomato from my burger (Die, raw tomato, die!) but unfortunately that must have been lost in the chain of custody as said tomato was on the burger, and was not easy to extract, either (it was a team effort to remove that red thing). The burger was so big that we decided to eat part of the fish before squishing the burger down and eating it with our hands. We were all quite keen on the pea patty that you get on the burger, however for me it could have been a little crisper on the outside so as to give the burger a further layer of texture, because for me, in the state it was in, it was a little sweet and too mushy. Personally, although I would order it again, I think it's tricky to have a crumbly fish on a burger. The burger came with skinny fries, which were tasty and crispy, although dry. The water that I ordered came with a huge slice of cucumber in it, which I absolutely adore. The onion rings that Carolyn E. had ordered and let me try were also quite tasty and not too greasy. Im a big fan of the movie so how excited was I when I saw that there is a place dedicated to it in Glasgow. When we went inside it was a little disappointing at first cause there were absolutely no references to the film but just a regular bar. Once you open the menu though you can chose between Lebowski burgers and about twenty different versions of White Russians (for example "The Dude", "Donny" or "Walter") so it was all good. The food wasnt that much out of the ordinary but definitely yummy, I had a burger that tasted a little burnt though. I also had my first encounter with Scottish beer which went pretty well. You are definitely not entering a world of pain (quote Walter) when coming to this place so check it out! read more

I can't remember the exact signage on the outside of the pub but it was along the lines of... "Lebowskis - it's not just a film, it's a way of life." And it's that exact humour that carries inside. The service is laid back, friendly and at times lackadaisical. As in drinks that were ordered never materialised... Nonalcoholic drinks mind! I find that hilarious. I was extremely impressed with the menu: an entire page dedicated to White Russians is exceptionally exceptional even by the pickiest of standards. I also thoroughly enjoyed the menu key. Rather than a heart symbol next to a dish signifying 'healthy' or 'low-cal' or some other diet mumbo jumbo, they got right to the point and put a heart by their favourite, often cheesy, home-cooked comfort faves. Respect. However I was not as impressed by service, nor by the fact that my co-worker did not receive his order, nor that the chicken on top of my salad came out cold... as if it had been pulled from a refrigerator. Yum, yum, yum, yum YUM!!! That's what I have to say about Lebowskis! I had never heard of this place until the Yelp Elite Event and I'm so glad our chieftain Chris introduced me to it. My partner and I went for dinner and a few cocktails on a Saturday night and the place was jumping and the music was loud. Most people seemed to be in for a drink with not many folk eating. I think they were seriously missing out!! For starters my partner had a gargantuan bowl of soup which must have weighed more than I do. I had baked apple, stuffed with haggis in a cider sauce.....de-lic-ious....For mains I had the best fish and chips I've ever had in my life! Gorgeous crispy batter and huge chunky chips, perfection! Boy-face had a huge chicken burger with bacon and cheese and some mysterious spices also served with the mega chips. We were both gagging for a sticky toffee pudding for dessert but sadly they had none left. Sad faces. They were very apologetic though so I haven't judged them too harshly. On the cocktail menu there is a whole page dedicated to White Russians however if, like me, the thought of milk and alcohol gives you the balk then there is also an ample selection of other classic cocktails and a few fruity inventions as well. The music was great for creating atmosphere if you were in for a few drinks but was too loud for dinner. I couldn't hear a word my love was saying. Taking this into account and the lack of sticky toffee pudding I would recommend going for dinner on a week night when it's a bit quieter and they hopefully won't have run out of supplies! You might not find Dudes hanging loose in their dressing gowns with their straggly hair playfully tickling their shoulders here, but what you will find are is a gargantuan variety of White Russians, some darn cool staff and plentiful tasty grub. The atmosphere here is cosy and pub-like (which is great for a small group of friends or some couples, but for our posse of twenty plus proved to be something of a squeeze!) and the munch has a kind of Hard Rock Cafe vibe to it, albeit far more personal. It's all about the hearty salads, mountainous burgers and piles of crisp Mac and Cheese here. I opted for the veggy wedgy which rather than being a patty was a stack of roasted aubergine, portobello mushroom and pepper with a topping of charred goat's cheese. This made it far lighter and more pleasant than most veg burgers, and the big wedge chips with the skins on were delish. The white wine was very palatable too! The only slight issue was a missing salad, but considering we descended on them like a Yelpy crazed hoard and the service still came with a friendly smile, we easily let it go. I recommend starting with the cheese board like we did, it's epic and plenty to share in a group. Dude, Lebowski's is awesome. I'd happily return on a second trip to Glasgow. read more

Finally, finally, FINALLY! People have been telling me to go to Lebowski's for ages, I just haven't ventured to that part of town in a while. So a wee cheeky opportunity arose last night- I was just buzzing to finally be going to Lebowski's! So, the guy who served us was really friendly, and recommended a very good White Russian called The Dude. It was a proper white Russian. None of your vodka, tia maria and milk. It was bloody great. I had another White Russian called...well it was the one with Vanilla in it and that was also bloody great. Had a pulled pork burger, which, for the first time having tried Pulled Pork (I know, I'm a bit slow on the gravy train) I was seriously impressed. It came on one of those ridiculous boards though and cutting it was a nightmare and it was also really messy. There was also too much lettuce for my liking. All in all, a great experience. As a bar this place is a five start they do a massive selection of White Russians and a good selection of beers. It is busy no matter what time of the day and plays half decent music. On the food front they do ok! I've eating here a few times and the menu gets bigger every time. The most recent time I went I was excited to try the hot dogs however by 3pm on a Sunday afternoon they only do the brunch menu so burger it was. The burger was nice but not the best burger or the messiest it was fairly average! I really like lebowskis however it's better as a bar than a burger joint. I revisited Lebowskis a couple of nights ago having not been there in over a year. I used to live just a couple streets away and it was one of my regular haunts but having moved (not even very far) there are so many pubs in between she and I, I rarely make it there any more. We were on Argyle street and decided to pop in for dinner. The food was good but I was very disappointed that the menu had changed! The old menu was fantastic and there was one particular 'stack' thing on the starters that consisted of a baked apple, black pudding and a kind of whisky cream sauce that was THE BEST THING I HAVE EVER EATEN. I had completely forgotten about it until we were walking towards the door on Monday and in the space of 10 seconds managed to really work myself up for this. Alas, we got some menus and discovered that the food options had changed a lot! Boyfriend went for a burger with cheese and pickles and I had a Del Fino Dog. The food was good - the onion and sweet mustard stuff on top of the hotdog was really tasty. The burger was good also, I nabbed a bite and it was definitely up there as one of the best in Glasgow. Sadly nothing was quite as delicious as the baked apple thing so I was still a bit disappointed with the dining experience. I always enjoy the music in Lebowskis, there's usually a good rocky playlist. They had Red Hot Chilis greatest hits on while we had dinner. The main positive aspect of this bar is the staff (I find myself saying this about so many places but nice staff is something that keeps me coming back!) They are always so nice in here and you can have a chat at the bar. We'd ordered a side dish and there was a bit of a delay in it coming- when it came we'd half eaten our meal and they said they wouldn't charge us for it so we were perfectly happy with that. All in all a good place to go - I'd recommend it to anyone. There aren't many tables and it tends to be pretty bustling every night so if you're going for dinner or as a group I would try and reserve a spot. Lebowskis have a whole menu with different varieties of White Russians. If you like the movie and come to Glasgow, you'd be a fool not to visit. I got mugged by a burger here. Actually, my entire trip to Scotland involved my body being assaulted by meat. The evening we came to Lebowskis I had a hunger on that only a small mountain of food would fix. Lebowski's pays homage to a film I've never seen....don't shoot me! It is on my to-do list, but Yelping comes first at the moment. So I can't extensively quote The Dude, but what I can tell you is that Lebowski's is a kick ass bar on Argyle Street. With contemporary decor that walks the wire between classy and like a ranch, a large selection of world beers and nice wine, and boasting possibly the best bowl of chips in the west end for under a fiver, you cannot fail to be impressed with this lovely establishment. Even on weekdays it's fairly busy with people having lunches, which is a good indication of the quality of this joint. Serving up the tastiest, fattest burgers I've ever seen and some gorgeous booze, it's as good for a first date venue as much as it is for groups. They run a pub quiz which had a massive windfall last time I checked. It might've been scooped up by now but my God, me and my friends did try our darndest to win that 500 quid. The staff are so friendly and welcoming in Lebowski's that it would be very easy to make this place your local. I consider it one of mine despite the fact I stay 2 miles down the road. Lebowskis is well known for their burgers. And since I'd only been once before for white russians..it was self nominated to be the next joint for the next big juicy burger run. I don't particularly like to drench my food in sauce. Sometimes it works, most times I like my food to be able to stand on its own. This burger is quite plain without its add-ons. The patty is average and bread is cute like a brioche, but without its enriched taste. Like a good steak, a good burger should be able to shine without too many embellishments. Typically, one wants a thick juicy patty of beef, quality cheese and wholesome bread to hold it all together. I find that lacking here. As it is, as just a cheeseburger it is boring and disappointing (this is with +1 add). If you get the three plus add-ons, it must be a fun messy experience. I'd give Lebowskis a full point for presentation skills. That food board had full visual value. A glossy brioche bun over a stout stack of burger goodness...until I realised it was just the the airy effect of a big lettuce folded onto a patty between thick buns. For a place that is famous for its burger, the patty itself is not that impressive. I have no beef with add-ons, its just when a burger depends too heavily on it that I do. Without its embellishments, its no special burger. read more

I was here for my lunch so this review doesn't cover what it's like for nightlife and it's drinks selection. I heard a lot of good things about this place for lunch so I was somewhat disappointed when after reserving a table at lunch time it wasn't ready for us. I ordered the so called famous lebowski burger which I asked for without tomato, which it ended up coming with. The selection itself is just typical pub grub, the usual burgers, wings that sort of stuff, which I love, but it really has to justify itself by being something special. On top of that, from ordering it took roughly 45 mins to get our food, the onion rings we ordered with our meal as a side never arrived and my whole meal was cold, I mean really cold, Bill the time I got it. The place itself is charming looking enough, but apart from that I barely enjoyed my experience here. I could make excuses for it being the busy lunch hour with all the office staff, but with so many things going wrong I can't say I enjoyed myself at all. I realise my review is very different from the rest and this may have been one severely unlucky experience, but this was my experience and I must stress everything here is exactly how it happened. read more

Rolled up here at about 6.55 on a Thursday evening with about 6 colleagues of mine and a few more expected to join. We hadn't booked a table and their weren't any obvious tables to sit at but the staff were really great and found us a table quickly and explained how we could accommodate the extras as the joined us. Great Service. Drinks options are really good, lots of variety of beers and gins and of course the famous White Russians. Although I would say the white Russian menus were nowhere to be seen and no-one actually ordered one. A shame because many of the people I was with are new to the area so it would have been good to experience part of the theme of the place. Most of us ordered food and I think generally it was felt that the food was as expected, not outstanding but tasty enough for a night in the pub. I wouldn't go here just for dinner though. I recently visited Lebowskis for the first time for a friends birthday dinner and drinks. I had to wait a while for my taxi beforehand so I spent 10 minutes or so reading the wonderful reviews of fellow Yelpers, and was consequently super duper excited to arrive at Lebowskis and get ordering my incredible food. The menu is pretty extensive, and their burger section alone offered maybe 10 different choices. I went for fish and chips off the big plate £10 menu though, as no-one wants burger juice all over their pretty dress. My friends had seasonal risotto, steak, and a veggie burger (they had run out of chicken, so this was her second choice). Now, don't get me wrong, I don't think £10 is too pricey by any means for a meal, but for what I got I was seriously gobsmacked. About 6 chunky chips and a nothing-special piece of fish. Really disappointing. The girls who ordered steak struggled more than somewhat un-elegantly to cut their steak, which had been served in a pasta bowl. A VERY weird choice of presentation! I could go on and on about the slow service, the overpriced food and the lack of chicken but lets focus on the two stars. One is for atmosphere, as the place does have a great vibe, and is nicely presented. It's clean and cosy, and that's all one really needs for a nice evening so I was happy with that. And the second star goes to the huuuuuge white russian menu. We all had a try (I had a black russian, as, like some fellow reviews, I believe milk and alcohol is wroooong wrong wrong!) and yumm yumm was the all-round verdict. So, come here to drink and not eat would be my advice. I WILL try again though, as there are so many raving reviews about this place out there. Maybe I'll go for a burger next time. Anyway, I'll let you know how that goes. Sorry Lebowskis, but until then, it's 2 stars from me :( read more

A veritable shrine to one of the most loved cult movies in history, this is a great place to strut your bathrobe and declare your love of nihilistic philosophy. This trendy watering hole really comes into its own on a Saturday night when the resident DJ spins some of the finest Funk, Soul and Hip Hop known to man. If you want a quiet drink then best give it a miss at the weekends as getting a seat can be a bother and the music is loud with heavy bass. However if you know your stuff the DJ is usually happy to put something on, providing it fits the mood. Although the food is not of the gourmet variety, it's reasonable and tasty. Naturally, the drink of choice is a White Russian. There is actually more than 20 types on the drinks menu, ranging from the classic The Dude (As enjoyed by the dude himself, with Finlandia vodka Kahlua and 50/50 milk/cream) to the The Saddam (.It's dark & twisted with Finlandia vodka, Kahlua, cola and a crown of Guinness). My personal favourite is The Nihilist (You'll care about nothing after this with Le Fee Bohemian Absinthe (70%), Kahlua and milk.). Fans of the Coen brothers classic will notice that the White Russians have a common theme as they all take their names from characters of events within the movie. Try The Donny and then wash that down with The Police Chief or The Jesus. read more

I came in here for the first time during the day with a group of friends. It was my first time but I really liked the place. As you could imagine from the name there are a lot of white Russians on the go, and to be honest its worth a visit just to see that menu as the selection was pretty staggering. In addition to this they had lots of good bottled craft beers and other drinks. It wasn't cheap but it wasn't expensive either. The waitress kept offering to set us up a tab which generally would be great but we declined as people were coming and going. However, I really liked this being offered, not to many places in town do this anymore so it was nice to see. I had a chilliedog which was recommended. It wasn't all that great, I recently had a better one in weatherspoons, and it came on one of those tiny stupid wooden boards which made cutting it up a nightmare. It was about 9 quid to which I thought was a bit steep. I'd be back in a heartbeat as it was a great bar with plenty of quirky things, sings posters etc to amuse you, but I think I'll give the food menu a miss next time. read more

As a bar probably better than as a restaurant. The first few times I came here I loved the food and service. This time, one year later, I was much more disappointed. The service wasn't great, our waitress didn't approach us for a long time after we got water as she was busy talking to the other staff. In the end we came up to her to order our food. I had a falafel burger which fell apart as soon as a new waiter (who was very attentive and polite) brought it over. The skinny fries were alright but completely unseasoned and quite limp. The best part was definitely the bbq wings we ordered as a side. Overall for the prices charged here (my burger alone was £10) we were both quite disappointed. Edit: had a really bad belly a few hours after meal and the next day. Can say for certainty that will not be going back to this restaurant anytime soon. read more

Finneston's coolest bar by far. It's named after the film 'The big Lebowski' and it has over 26 different kinds of white Russian to choose from. Including one with buckfast! If it's food you're after the menu for some of the most creative burgers in Glasgow. Mac and cheese cheeseburger anyone? This bar just never seems to be empty or boring. Even some her on a Monday night the bar still seems to be jumping. It attracts people from all different backgrounds different styles musicians , High flyers, students, players, fashion forwards, builders, hipsters, rugby dudes, arty folk and thinkers. This place is a real melting pot. They take reservations and can accommodate larger groups too. read more

Lebowskis - Heaven - Pubs Near Me - Glasgow, GLG

Turns out I've not done a review of this place. How bizarre. Lebowski's is of course named after the dude himself. But you can call him his dudeness, el duderino.. Other than the most comprehensive selection of caucasians (or white russians to the muggles amongst us) there is little else in keeping to the name aside from a cracking painting of the dude himself. Little else that is, except for the laidback vibe of the place which is hard to match on Argyle Street and it's not for a lack of good watering holes either. Stuff on everyday of the week including a cracking quiz on Wednesdays. Haven't had a meal in here yet but I have chomped on many delicious samples and the lords of the manor there made the grave error of revealing where they get their grub from. Clue: It's a 30 second walk from my flat. I wont be opening up a Lebowskis 1.5 however, as the 'dudes' who work here have a full blown Lebowskis 2.0 opening soon down the road called 'The Finnieston' (review pending..). A great pub in a great spot which comes highly recommended. It's also a treat to sit outside here when the weather is nice. It will happen again, I promise. read more

So i began a busy friday night here with drinks and workmates as we are all splitting up into other departments. I give it an immediate 4 star as it was superb in every way, only reason its not a 5 star is its only 1 visit and i didnt sample the food!! Started off with my old favorite of kraken and coke and the guy behind the bar pointed me to top shelf rum heaven!! I started off with don papa and worked my way to el dorado, all superb and all the staff were on hand to offer ideas and accompniments for mixers and such. One lady in particular i believe her name was louise? was brilliant as she noticed my t shirt and we then got onto comics and general chatting. Very nice bar, decently priced especially for beginnings of west end with friendly staff and mmm rum!!! Ill definetely be back! read more

I love this place for a night out - the music on a Saturday night is awesome and right up my street. My partner, being the biggest white Russian fan I know other than The Dude himself, adores the comprehensive white Russian menu that should rightly be the cornerstone of any place called Lebowski's. There's also a decent range of wine, however I'm deducting a point as on busy nights the wait at the bar can be incredibly slow, with a haphazard method of service at best. I've never tried the food in the Glasgow branch but if it is anything like the restaurant in Edinburgh then the burgers are nowt short of fab and filling. For me due to the music, the good range of drinks, and a fun, buzzy crowd, I think this will remain a watering hole more than a snack stop. read more
