I googled for drain cleaning services and Gary's Rooter and Hydro-Jetting came up, with good reviews. I double checked reviews with Yelp, and decided to give him a call. He answered. Not a dispatcher or national service third party, like I would have gotten if calling one of the well known Rooter company names. The actual guy answered the phone. He gave me a ballpark estimate over the phone, with the reasonable caveat that until he sees the issue he can't know for sure. He and his partner came within a few hours, which was the time he'd estimated over the phone. They assed the issue and confirmed pricing based on what they saw, then they cleared the obstruction quickly; ran a camera through the pipe to show me how it looks; and discussed options for hydro jetting. While they'd cleared the main problem swiftly, it made sense to me to also have them do the hydro jetting of some roots that were closer to the street, as a preventative measure. That was also done pretty quickly, and I also got to see the before and after video camera feeds of the inside of the pipes. All-in, I was happy with the service and considered the cost to be transparent and fair.

This group is unique where they're great communicators, effective problem solvers, task oriented, and genuinely nice people. I had them add clean out valves to a tankless and they were flawless throughout the process. Jake made sure all the right parts were used and lined up a great technician who did a great job on the install. They troubleshoot and are effective. The technician, Jimmy, stuck around and mentioned when he turned on the water he heard what he recognized as high water pressure in the pipes and to check the water pressure regulator on the unit. The condo shared this and we found out this is in fact an issue the HOA was having with the entire building. They have someone replacing it now but the fact that after the job was done Jimmy mentioned what he felt wasn't right, was awesome. You'd be surprised how many plumbers get in, do the thing, and bounce. Or try and upsell you on stuff, they seemed to be in it to make sure it's right. I truly appreciate that. We had a sewer backup issue affecting the back unit/ADU while also dealing with separate toilet issues in the front house. Mick responded quickly, diagnosed both problems efficiently, and got everything resolved the same day. The front house issue turned out to be worn toilet flappers from normal wear and tear. The back unit issue was a main line grease buildup/clog that required drain clearing and camera inspection work. I had both my bathrooms changed from the old 3 knob shower to a more modern single knob shower thingy, plus updating the waste disposal piping/internals. Although the base quotes and labor was cheap, I did ask for some custom stuff which cost extra, and I think they put quite a big markup on them. For example, I wanted brushed nickel finish on my shower fixtures and drains and it cost $360. I looked at Home Depot and it was much less than that for that kind of stuff. Other than that, the technicians were friendly, knowledgeable, and competent. The thing that stands out the most about them was their dedication and their customer service. I was having my shower valves and waste disposal replaced but also wanted to reglaze my tub. Long story short, something happened with that reglazing company that might've flooded my downstairs neighbor and Greg hopped on a call with me late at night and talked me through how to check if everything was ok. This took 40 minutes, and thankfully nothing leaked out of my waste disposal. Overall, I'm pretty happy with the services provided and will be calling them for any future plumbing issues.

When I recently experienced a drain clog in the shower, I called another local plumber because they advertised a drain snaking special. Not only was that bait and switch (only if they can clean the drain from the cleanout only, which is unlikely with a shower), that plumber came out, told me they could've done the job cheaper, and then failed to be able to fix the clog. I called yesterday, and Brandon from Flood Brothers came today, put five minutes of hard work and elbow grease in and figured it out and fixed the problem. It was just a giant hair clog!
