The repair was surprisingly easy as I used the same brand to replace and the flange is the same after decades so I didn't need to do the hard work of interacting with the sink itself. When I pulled out the old unit, sure enough there was Ken's sticker on it from when he installed it for the prior owners of my home decades earlier! It was so old it didn't have an area code needed. Ken's team also told me about some repairs that could be safely deferred and done with the help of the local town when they did other repairs they are responsible for, which saved me about $1000. This past week, I asked them to do what was supposedly a quick and easy faucet replacement in a bathroom sink but it turned out to be more complicated than expected. Bryan and very good in explaining everything and getting all the repairs done. So, after using them 3 times and been extremely satisfied with the results, I felt that I needed to upgrade the number of stars to reflect how much I appreciated their time, work, professionalism and helpfulness. I reached out via yelp messenger and got a response within the hour and they dispatched at technician over within 2 hours. The technician arrived Joey, and was professional and courteous. He identified the blockage and setup some tarps around the sink area to minimize dirt. He snaked the drain very thoroughly and resolved the blockage. Gary from K&B was the only plumber (we tried several) who answered our call and walked us through some basic troubleshooting. I had my heart set on a high efficiency tankless replacement, and while Gary thought it was overkill and a bit silly, I really appreciated that he told me what he felt I should know (pricing, maintenance, and water pressure differences) and then let me make the decision. So many contractors try to tell you what you want, but Gary was accommodating and happy to do the work I asked for. He picked up the new heater as soon as the first local supplier re-opened, and had it installed and working by mid-afternoon the same day. The installation itself looks neat, orderly, and professional. I did not solicit quotes (this began as an emergency and I felt Gary had earned our business after helping us over the phone), but the price was reasonable and in line with what I've seen others report paying for similar work. He installed an incredibly great system, which replaced not only our old furnace, but our hot water heater as well. The system is the Triangle Tube Prestige system (likely updated since then). Not only is it was of the best and most efficient heating and hot water systems, but his price and service were equally great. Once installed, our gas bill dropped by 50%, and we NEVER run out of hot water. The system can handle the shower, washing machine, and at least one sink all at the same time. Great recommendaton Bob! His crew was very meticulous in their work, and Bob (the owner) is honest, trustworthy and gives fair assessments of whatever work you need. Quality work is their marquee! He was so good we had him back a couple years later when we needed some other work done. One of the supports for the pipe that feeds our two bedrooms came loose, where it runs through the lower level through the under house garage. We also needed a water outlet in our kitchen sink to run our water filter. They were prompt in returning our call and setting up the appointment, showed up on time, and did great work. I've had to call him with some questions, and once a minor issue, which he told me how to fix over the phone. His service after the fact is outstanding and he's always get back to you if you call with a question. I recommend this company for it integrity, quality work, and outstanding ethics. Once the guy came with an apprentice from the local vocational high school and I really really liked that.
