The previous owner passed away and passed it on to his NEPO DAUGHTERS. Gone are the days when customer service meant something to the owners of this company. While clearly inflation indicates that customer's should expect some price increases, raising their price from $90 to over $200 for a drain cleaning is extortionate, moreover, they REFUSED to honor a $10 off coupon issued by their late father. This company is the absolute best. We had a clog and sewage backup in our old 1958 home, after calling 20 different companies we found a company who could come out same day. He did not fix our problem and quoted us a 6-12,000 dollar repair. We were discouraged but called for a 2nd opinion with Drain Doctor, and they sent out Jose. He arrived on time and spent his time working hard and cleared our pipes in an hour, the other company said we needed to install clean outs, but Jose found one that we never even knew existed. Horrible. Disgusting owner and very poorly run. Before the plumber came I confirmed no assessment charge on the phone and they sent a plumber out. We had a toilet clogged and they showed up and the plumber did not perform a single service and even advised against trying anything because he was not confident he could fix it. He called his front office with me (on camera) to confirm there was no charge. They did confirm. The plumber left never asking for any payment after confirming. Then I get a phone call from Charles (owner) not hearing me out and calling me a liar and that I should be ashamed of myself and screaming at me. Wouldn't even let me get a full sentence in. They fixed my issue but charged me extra for snaking 2 drains. Website says price is fixed for residential customers but that is not true. They charged me an extra $70 making the total $229. I called and they said they were working on updating the website but wouldn't adjust my bill. Not an excuse. I had used them before but will not call again. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!! I called and asked for them to come and FIX a drain back up I had a few weeks ago. I had already ran a snake through the system and knew it was cleaned out. However when I called Drain Doctor I was ASSURED THEY WOULD FIX THE PROBLEM. David swore up and down that they would fix the leak and quoted me a price of $120 (and required my credit card to come). I told them to come out ASAP because that was the lowest price I had gotten. Of course I was screwed by these people!!! I was required to give a credit card to get them to come out. They showed up with only and snake and claimed that's all they do, I told them to not even bother doing anything. Well low and behold my card was charged the next day!!! Drain Doctor provided service on October 1. The serviceman cleared the drain and was paid as agreed. He was pleasant and informed me of their warranty policy. Fast forward to November 19. Same problem; same drain. Called Drain Doctor and was told that a serviceman would be out and that their dispatched would call to schedule. Three calls in to Drain Doctor. Unable to get an answer on when they will send someone out. Seems that warranty calls are not as important as service calls. They may be less expensive. Their prices are fixed and I have never had and issue with an upcharge or change in pricing because of any "issues". Unlike some other services I have used in the past, Drain doctor employees will clean and disinfect areas of work after finishing and they have come out in rain and yes, even snow to help me out! In the few instances where the clog returned, they came out again and cleared the lines at no additional cost within 2 weeks of original service! This company was referred to me by a licensed plumber, who was too busy to clear a clogged line. They responded fairly quickly and cleared the line. Three months later we found a wet spot in a wall and lo and behold they had broken a pipe which leaked for three months in the wall and behind furniture. Call the owner and he sent the same repair who had worked on the issue. He initially claimed he did not do it, but ultimately admitted that he "likely" broke the pipe. He advised the owner, who referred the issue to their insurance company, who subsequently said they did not think they were responsible, so they would not pay. Several thousand dollars later my pipe is repaired, walls repaired and repainted. Rug is still ruined. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COST. Use at your own risk. read more

This is now a train wreck , the owner hired a young very impatient immature young lady that has no respect for you as a client . Charlie who owns all the drain dr around because if you call the different numbers you are directly back on the phone with this little very very important little tart . Now be aware if you don't make her happy you won't get past the gate keeper , which only leads you to Charlie who yells at you for being confused how you could be upset with her treating you poorly and hanging up on you . But she does say sorry a lot and she does say thank you a lot , buts that's right before she had not let you speak. I don't know what happened to Charlie and his company but he is obviously very Smitton with his new Tiffany. If only we could have Elizabeth back. What a mistake Charlie, you need to grow some and take care of us very long time customers. Buyer beware. He had to come out again after the first time cause he didn't fix it right from the beginning, by him coming out the second time he had an attitude. I asked that I be called 30-45 minutes before appointment and they did that. Tech was friendly and efficient. He even offered some preventative maintenance tips. I had a great experience with Drain Doctor. I set up an appointment really quick for the morning and they said they would call 30 mins before 8am appointment and they did exactly that. Ramon arrived right on time and was courteous and informative. He found the clean out spot which wasn't in the ideal spot. He got his equipment and even though the snake didn't work the first time he changed the head and it worked the second time to get the roots out of my main line. He prided himself on doing the work and getting it fixed no matter what. He also informed me of some things that I should get fixed in order to avoid problems in the future. After it was all done he cleaned up the area and I gave him my credit card for the bill which was only $140. Considering I paid a $60 service charge to the plumber that my warranty company sent that wasn't able to do anything, I say this was a great deal.
